Any clue where this is from?

I got almost the exact same email from a craigslist ad about a stove I'm selling also.  I have money orders in my possession from this Michelle Cooker person but obviously believe it to be a scam.  Has anyone figured out for sure if this truly is a scam?

Please after cashing just deduct your own money and get back to me so I can tell you how to wire the remaining balance to the shipper so he can schedule pick up with you  I'm very sorry for my mistakes,I was so much in a rush packing up

THIS IS WHAT I GOT ABOUT A STOVE I WAS SELLING ON CRAIG's LIST, BEcaME SUSPICIOUS AND FWD THE EMAIL TO MY BROTHER WHO FOUND THIS PAGE FOR ME; SOUNDS LIKE ALL VARIATIONS OF THE SAME SCAM.  SO DO I TURN THE CHECK TO THE LOCAL POLICE OR FBI?

Your payment has been mailed out to you but the issue is that UPS said they cant ship unless i have a new account with them so i contacted a private shipper who will come over for pick up as soon as you get your payment,, the amount sent to you was included with the shipping cost.

All of this happened to me a Mr. lee yang wanted to hire me and when I received a 3,600 check that when I knew... it all started to make sense that none of it added up.... he gave me this number to call john the lawyer...

WOMAN RECEIVED THE SAME PHONY SCAM CHECK AND DEPOSITED TO HER ACCOUNT AND WITHDREW $2500 FROM HER BANK, BANK OF AMERICA AND NOW BEING CHARGED FOR GRAND LARCENY.

BEWARE...THIS IS A SCAM

so i got the same email and upond reading it, im sure that i wasnt the only one who got that very same email--i was assuming that the other innocent people he is toying with also received it.  and evidently i was right.  and so like usual i went to check my mail for the day and there it was a fedex overnight express envelope.  i opened it and there is phony phony "official check" inside for $4,800.  apparently its from a national bank in iowa.  i looked it up, it doesnt seem to exist.  its so obvious that the check is forged.  and this apparent mr cheng says that he has included more money than the $1,000 as he said you would need to purchase the computer/printer and then he wants you to money gram the remainder once you've cashed it in via walmart's western union.  boy these scam artist are good, but not that brilliant.  dont they know that when you deposit a check, not all amount is available all at once.  only like $100 to verify that there is money from which the account is being withdrawn.  i thought these people were so desperate as to needing/finding something to do with their lives that they would go thru the trouble of playing email and what not but to go thru all the trouble of fedexing a phony made check, they are just desperate.  if you hoaxes are reading this, i'm sure you're getting a kick out of it now, but your time will soon come cause paybacks a bi***!!!  that's why they say revenge is oh so sweet!  

ps. to sameboat, i no longer have the patience to play along with their dumb mind games, but please update us with other information you get from this and how it all goes down.  and i just sure hope no one is that dumb and naive to fall for this.

I have received an email today stating that the funds for the computer are being fedex'd today to my address.  I am going to play along for now and see what I can catch this Mr. Cheng in.  Once I receive the funds, I am going to contact the bank in which the funds were drawn on and see if it is for real.  If not, I will be contacting the local PD to take over the scam.

yes a man named mr cheng claiming he is with shanghai logistics company and on business from china to call his attorney john at the number and going to give $1000 to purchase a laptop and printer.  all a F-ing hoax.  people need to get lives than to play with people.  karma---what goes around comes around!!!

I am going through the same thing with this person.  Beginning to think it's all a scam.  So I guess you never went any further with this, such as getting a computer??  LOL I guess some people have nothing better to do with their time

i was given this number by a man claiming to be involved in the manufacturing business from China.  Said this is his attorney named John's phone number.  He wanted me to call & leave a message and then email him back once I did so.  Claims he's in China on business...he doesn't provide many details but gives orders...

ha!  i've thought this set up was also very questionable.  a very strange way to do business.  everything about it is all very sketchy.

I really think that this is a scam because I got an email from someone telling to call this number about a job. And if the person does not answer then to leave like a detail voice message. Im a little ify about this number.
