Received the same recorded message, asked to call 415-251-2115 : free call from Magic Jack?
Please be aware of this scam.

Got a message from 415-251-2995 with the exact same recorded message, the message had a very bad voice quality I actually dialed 415-251-2115 first and got a message then an automated message from magic jack answered the phone saying that number is unused which raised my first suspicion. Then I listened to the message again and this time I dialed the right number a guy with an accent answered saying I owe $8977 and threaten taking away license and arrest etc. then the phone call got cut off, though no additional phone calls were received but this basically matches the Description on the IRS website exactly.

If you have an Indian friend, learn a few Hindi bad words, and read it to these bast**ds, else simply register this number in the do not call list. This 415.251.6327 is a stolen magic jack number that may not be caught. Their suggested money transfer method is such that the money transfer can not be traced. That's why they are in business for long time. So, don't worry about these calls.

Maybe you can hit spell check before you submit or maybe you can go learn how to write and spell.

Well, when these scammers are sitting an ocean away, it's not like they can waltz over assert American jurisdiction and arrest them. Simply ignore them, be informed and don't pay the money!  Report the scam to FTC and IRS!

You seem kind of stupid yourself. At a minimum you think quite highly of yourself. Pride cometh before the fall you know.  What makes you think they are "illegal"?  Because they have accents?  Hey dim wit....they are probably sitting in a call center in India. Your caller i.d. Is being tricked with a routing number...

They are at it again.  We got a call in the St. Louis area from this phone number trying it again.  They reported themselves as the IRS and started asking for personal information.  We just hung up on them

Way to go!!!!  He left the same msg on my machine.  I could tell he was from India or that area and said he name was some Jackson with a heavy accent. I wish I was home to tell him the same.

Got numerous calls today on my voicemail but 1 message was left.  Heavy accent Indian guy left the message with number 415-251-6327 and a reference #.  Also saw 415-251-3769 from call on my caller id.  These low life morons should be put in jail.  

Add 866-978-1047 to this number.  I was called earlier from the 415 number.  Probably some scam groups based in India identify themselves as IRS Litigation Department, telling you for your attorney information.  I was prepared today and used some choice words the moment I discovered it was the same group.  The guy with an Indian accent beat a pretty hasty retreat after getting an earful of some heavy duty profanity.

Today got a call like all of you. When I ask information from them about me they had NON, and Hang Up on me. We need Immediate action on this kind of fraud going on. What is our Gov. doing?

These people have been fooling a lot of people lately, I got a phone call from this stating they are from the IRS. We called the police before anything and they've stated that these people are frauds, and can be located anywhere part of the world, regardless of the phone number. Then a few days later they kept calling, i decided to call them and tell them they were frauds, the indian dude could hardly understand me but i did cuss at them a lot. A lot of people have been affected by this, people end up paying the money because the message states they have an arrest warrant, and for the fear of jail they pay up. their targets are middle easterns and the elderly.

I received the same call this past Friday night from a guy with a heavy Indian accent claiming to be an official at the Tax Litigation Department of the IRS. Told me it was VERY time sensitive and that I needed to call back as soon as possible to avoid legal action.  He has called twice and I am not going to return the call.  

Got a call today from 415-251-6327. Same B.S. like all other smart people have reported about-  a tax deficiency, 2 cases of tax avoidance, - and they need my attorneys address to send the affidavit and the police will arrest me tomorrow if I do not pay 6200 in taxes. the voicemail told me another number to call 415-251-3769. I was suspicious already as he told me to stay on hold for 2 hours on my cellphone while I go to the bank get the cash and then to CVS to make a bill payment voucher. Glad I found this site on google to confirm my suspicion.

Will IRS ever arrest these morons?

I received the "peter george" 415-251-6327 call today too. heavy accent and all. said to give attorney's #. i asked for what and he said 2 charges against me (Criminal and tax something). we claims certified mail was sent to my address. i asked what address was what and he read me my addy. then the phone disconnected. surprisingly! is this really a scam??

These people criminal extortionists who are located in either India or Pakistan.  They use spoofed numbers.  They work out of call centers.  Never give any money or information or credit numbers to anyone over the phone.   You will never get your money back but you can protect yourself in the future.  These criminals often target recent immigrants who may not be familiar with the tax system.

The guy with an Indian accent called from 415-251-6327 (Novato, Ca) saying he was from the tax litigation department and asked for my lawyer information.  I did not even bother the ask his name, first asked him to send me his request in writing and then gave him a piece of my mind when I realized it was a scam before hanging up.

These types of forums are helpful because immediately after the phone call, I discovered that the call was indeed from a fraudulent group.  Wonder whey law enforcement cannot get to these types of people.

Some indian guy who barely spoke english left some muddled message about tax.  This moron's english was so bad that i didnt understand a word except my name and the word tags which i later deciphered as tax.  The only reason i got the number was my caller id.

Received phone call from 415-251-6327 addressing me stating he was Peter George from the IRS and that it was important for me or my attorney to call him back before legal action and to use reference number. Have a good day.

I too got a voice message from a man with a heavy Indian accent threatening legal action if we didn't call back regarding our income tax.  Had to listen to it twice to even understand it but definitely a scam!

This monkey's unknown accent was so thick that most every word was undecipherable.
I enjoyed it so much I called back (it was a message).
The white guy who answered ID'ed themselves as the Internal Revenue Service. I told the story. He hung up. Too bad.
Maybe I'll call back sometime and see how far I can go. 15 minutes? 30? 45?

as Alex Cook SanFrancisco bay area. Look out for these types of scam calls.

My wife just got the same phone call from these scum bags who can't make an honest living.  They have to rip people off.  They give us honest Indians a bad name.  I am so ashamed to be called one of them.....

I just got a call from this # asking for my husband. I told them give me thier phone# and who should my husband contact. They told me michele calrtar.Listing to this guy there is no one in that name. so I hang up and call back the same # they give me and in caller ID same Indian guy picked up  I asked for micheie. This guy is asking me for my husband again. How did he know who called him I never said my name at all.So I told him I just called the attorney Generals office. and sending him an a arrest warrent for him. so he hanged up. After that I called several time to harass them. but they hung me up right away. I want know how they feel when they have a outstanding warrent for thir arrest. This is totaley a scam watch out. I did not know that Indian people run the IRS in america?(INDIANS RUNS SCAM)may be?

My parents got a call from 415-251-6327 looking for me and claiming to be IRS.  How can the same number be actively running this scam for so long?  Where is the IRS fraud prevention department?

And the guy had a heavy Indian accent.

Left a message saying IRS has information about my wife and that we have to call them back otherwise IRS will take legal action. Do not take this message lightly.
