They left me a voice message saying it was an agent from the IRS and that there was a deficiency in my return. Total scam call bc I know how the IRS contacts people and at the time of the voicemail I hadn't done my taxes yet. So totally not a real thing. Block them. Report them.

I am from Holland and I received a message in FaceBook from Mr. M. Coportino, we had long chats and he told me he wants to visit me. I really wanted to meet this man and then he asked for money. And I transferd an amount. How stupid and naive. He never showed up. He is still in Facebook and this is a warning, I think it is a large scam organisation. The Facebook page still excits and there is a connection between this phonenumber and MCMCEngineering and Mr. Coportino. He refers to the company with this phonumber 415-251-7129. You can watch it yourself on FaceBook. First I was afraid to post this but now I'm shure, these are scammers!  I also received calls from other numbers: 0017192589206 and 00447045705727. He also used another name Mr. Bradley T. Harvey.

Now using the name John Sullivan.

The number 415-251-8119 was on my voicemail.  I didn't call back.  It's the same group of scammers.  Beware!!! I might call back and play their game then tell them I will report them

Checked my machine to find a message from Special Agent Paul Anderson DEA regarding an ongoing criminal investigation. 415-251-7159 was the number he left to have me call him back.  I'm glad I googled this number to find this.

I was first contacted by "Sgt. Paul Anderson" at a previous number, 415-251-8119 from Ignacio, CA. (Look up my post of the fraud under my name about the first number.) Today the crook called me at 415-251-7129, also from Ignacio, CA. After paying $7,000 to avoid extradition to the Dominican Republic, now I am expected to pay $2,200 for "stamping my dismissal papers." He knows that I don't have any more money and am unemployed, but he pressured me to withdraw funds from my IRA. To be continued...

This guy got me for $3,000. I have been working on reporting to as many agencies as possble. Guy used the name special agent Anderson. They scared me to death. I became hysically ill. I didnt think it was right but they had me thinking they would come to my house. They had 'agents' 5 minutes away they said. Every time I questioned something he got angry and more intimidating and hostile

Said he was dea special agent Anderson working with judge Snyder. He sounded real. Beware!! Scam!,

Hi, I just googled the # after speaking with a Frank Thomas who also scared the hell out of me. He did exactly the same thing while I was driving and said I would be arrested for having ordered soma online in the year 2005 unless I cooperate and testify against the pharmaceutical company "pills.com" as they were closed down.  I did admit I ordered but wasn't aware that it was overseas.....!Please tell me again that this is purely a scam and I shouldn't be worried....I just lost the signal with Thomas while I was driving!

Yesterday while I was at work I received a phone call from the DEA ....WHAT....Immediately called them back and a 20 minute horrific phone call warning me that I was under investigation by frank Thomas  DEA  and that I was going to be picked up, warrant for my arrest, and I was going to be booked, fingerprint and needed to hire a attorney. THIS IS A SCAM....HANG UP IMMEDIATELY AND SOMEONE PLEASE GO PUT THIS LOOSER IN JAIL.....THESE GUYS ARE GOOD, THEY SOUND LIGITAMATE, AND WILL RUIN YOUR DAY. after calling a friend on the local police force, who looked up my drivers license, THERE WAS NO WARRENT, SHE CALLED THIS DEA AGENT BACK AND SAID IT WAS A SCAM.  BUT BEWARE, THESE GUYS ARE GOOD.

I was called by "frank Thomas" from this #. It scared the crap out of me when he said he was DEA and if I refused to answer questions his agents would be at my house and arrest me in front of my son. I refused to answer anything as my lawyer told me to. The "agents" never showed up. This is a total, horrible scam that should be reported by anyone who experiences it. It almost gave me a heart attack.

I received a message today from a man identifying himself as Officer Special Agent Frank Thomas with the DEA.  In the message he said that he wanted to ask me some questions in regards to an open and ongoing criminal investigation.  The caller ID said Novato, and matched the telephone # he told me to call him at 415-251-7129.
There were no threats, but it bothered me a lot!

Wow - Janice Brown just called me, and I called her back and left a message with the gentleman who answered.  She should be calling soon, and I'm glad I read this so I can relax and have some fun.

This is an aweful scam!! They will leave messages for you to call them back immediately due to an ongoing criminal drug investigation. Janet Brown left messages and finally talked to Frank Thomas to tell him he had the wrong person. He then proceeded to tell me where I lived and my Husbands name. Both of which were correct. I was so freaked out!! He told me to go to a private area and to tell no one of this phone call or I would be taken straight to jail. And that I was going to federal prison for three years. WWhen I told him I was not going to talk to him anymore and I was going to get a lawyer he said if I hang up an officer would be dispatched immediately to arrest me! I was scared out of mu mund. This went on for about 20 minutes until something told me to google the number. There it was...SCAM!!!! I was releaved and upset all at the same time that someone could be so horrible. I whispered to my coworker that had come in and told them scam...the person on the line said "what did you say?"  I then hung up. He has not called back.
PLEASE do not fall for this!!!..by the end of the conversation he was asking me for fine money to clear my name. Praise the Lord I found this page before I did!!

I received a voicemail yesterday from 415-251-7129 with a person saying they were "DEA Agent Janet Brown" and telling me that they needed me to call DEA Headquarters right away regarding a criminal investigation.  First of all, "Janet" sounded like a man, and she/she had a hard time pronouncing Administration.  It was all extremely fishy so I did my research and landed on this page.

Obvious scam, using scare tactics. Not calling "Janet" back.

This is the 3rd time I got a phone call of this type. The first time I asked my brother who is an lawyer for advice. He contacted the DEA who verified it was a scam. I'm ashamed to say it didn't dawn on me that the DEA  don't call you ahead of time and tell you that you are going to be arrested. All I heard was DEA.
The second time I got a similar call I told the guy I was aware he was a scam artist and that all my call are taped.
It's been a year between calls. I just got my 3rd call. All different people all different numbers. I use an answering machine. If I don't know you I don't pick up. I return calls that I need to and I have all fake callers on my answering machine. I think I keep them "just in case" or to remind myself what an idiot I was.
They are looking to get $$$$$$$$$$$ from people. Don't let them get yours. They already got your peace of mind.

got a call from DEA saying i need an attorney because i purchased meds on line.  That I am going to be arrested.  It stil gets me upset.  But on the plus side, I have yet to be arrested after 15 calls that I am going to be.  Dont these people know that it is illegal to impersonate a Federal Agent??

They are a pack of criminals.     I'm glad you saw through their scam; I just wish the DEA could nail these criminals.

Officer Frank Thoms from the DEA regarding an ongoing criminal investigation for purchasing of ambien online.  He told me to go home and officers would be there to take me into custody, and that I would need an attorney.  I hung up on him.

Yup! Got a message frrom Frank Thomas on May 1st. Too bad for him I have connections with LAPD who told me how to deal with him the next time he contacts me.

Oh My Goodness.... I just got the same call...  I had just been on a internet site years ago because I needed help sleeping.  I truly think I never even ordered the drug - just got it from my doctor- but yet the pharmacy would call me repeatedly for years.  This idiot in broken English told me that I had been selling and buying drugs... right at SaveOn...  and that I had to come right down to the office and get finger printed and HANDCUFFED...how stupid do they think we are.  I said listen - I have been around a LONG time and have never broken a law!!!...and I would be happy to talk to my local office of the DEA  in San Diego and have them call me directly.  

He couldn't hang up fast enough....  Seriously the world has gone mad!!!

Called on April 3, 2013.

I would ask him to call me at the 877-492-2873 number above (the report-the-scam number), and repeat all that he was saying to me at that number.

BTW- I didn't respond to him I just hung up.
He called back but I ignored the call.

Now this scam artist is using the name Frank Thomas.  Called on Mar 28th 2013.

I fell for it - I got the message and returned the call becasue by coincidence I had been in San Francisco  last week and thought perhaps I was a witness or something. Many years ago I had ordered sleep medication online so I felt guilty - After 23 mins of being threatened with , jail for 3 years or house arrest for 90 day tx, I realized I might be scammed i googled DEA scam and saw the alert - told him I was broke and I had to hang up becasue I was on my to turn myself into the local DEA office

I received a call this afternoon (2/19/13) from a man claiming to be a Lt. with the DEA.  I didn't allow him to go any further as I was already aware the DEA will NOT contact you by phone to demand money or payment.  The number was 415-251-7129 and the location listed was Ignacio, CA.  Don't fall for this!

Any clue where this is from?
