Called company twice within 2 minutes. First guy had outdated IT information and insisted he was not a solicitor than immediately hung up. Second guy had a name of someone not in IT. Explained to him about the first guy and he apologized and hung up.

I just got a call from these guys trying to speak to my "IT Manager." Nevermind the fact that I work for the 6th largest MSO in the US. Our IT only deals with internal issues. He called the number for a small company we bought and I now support. This guy just did not get that we're not buying anything and if we were we'd call them.

Female with accent calls asking for IT manager. Heard my voice echoing over the conenction. Like another post, if our company is doing business with yours, you will know who our IT guy is. I asked her name and she said: "Nancy....Nancy Smith" (right, Nancy!! Good, generic name there) I had to ask her twice what company she was calling from---"IT Brief" (?) I said no thank you and goodbye and hung up.

As others wrote, the man has a very heavy accent, relentless and impossible to understand between that and a lousy connection. Told him several times that I looked up his number while we were on the call, that others can't understand what he's saying, etc. Finally hung up.

Received same type of call today.  Lady with very heavy accent asking for "Mark".  No last name and when asked for the last name, she made one up.  Then asked for someone in IT.  Well, I offered to take a message and they said they would call back!   LOL..... Still won't get any where.

Over 5 calls from this number just in the last 2-3 hours.  No matter how many times I give them our corporate number, they still call me and ask to be transfered.  They are also asking for names of Financial officers. Obviously a sales call but to continue to irriate those that you are contacting isn't a great tactic.  

Telemarketer with heavy accent wants to speak to IT manager. Won't stop calling.

This is second time this person has called me also. For those that get even more repeated calls, I get most to stop by asking who they are calling for, then answering "let me get him for you" then  immediately putting them on hold until they hang up themselves.
They soon get the idea.

Reiieved a call from this number again this week asking for the IT Manager.  Had another call to answer. When I returned to the line I asked who was calling; they hung up.

Am guessing it was a telemarketer.

The last time they called a week ago I asked them to please not call again.

They just called here, a guy named Rex answered the phone. We have another company in the area with a similar name and he asked if I worked for that company. I asked him to repeat the name and he thought I meant his name and he was yelling at me "It's REX! R! E! X! Rex!" Then he asked how many people are in my IT department. I told him I was prohibited from discussing these details and he hung up on me. Called the number back and got a busy signal.

We continue to receive calls after 3 months of requesting that our company's name and number be removed.  We are not interested in their product and nobody here wants to speak with a telemarketer with a heavy accent and a bad connection. They must like our hold music because I keep parking them there and they keep calling back.

They have called me twice in the last two days.  I haven't answered the phone yet and they have yet to leave a message.  Glad I found this site.

they have called me 5-6 times a day, each time I have told them I am not interested and hang up on them. Now, whenever they call I immediately ask for a supervisor or manager and they hang up on me. I cannot see the number they are calling from and really want to report them for for continuing to harass me after I have told them so many times to never contact me again.

I've had 4 calls just today.  Can barely make out what they are saying their accent is so heavy.  Last one I hear roosters crowing in the background.  

This is BS, only a fool would believe this post. Why do you search for a number from a company sending you whitepapers? Especially this being first post. If you believe this post, you get what you deserve.

This company is annoying as all hell. They do not answer questions and repeatedly call me.

I would never buy anything from this company, but I can't understand WTF they are selling anyway.

I ahem received numerous calls on my company cell phone from this company. Always a woman I cannot understand, and always pushing white papers. Here is the thing. You may be happy to get the white paper via your email, but you have just provided them with a valid email address that they can then add to their list of emails to sell to other spammers. They are not doing this for free - they are gaining from these calls. And they are ignoring the fact that they are violating the law. Report them repeatedly!@

This number has called several times this morning. Each time they call a man will ask for someone in HR. Without a contact name or purpose of call the call will get dumped into voicemail. The 3rd time he called he asked for someone in our HR dept who is no longer here, and then asked for anyone in HR. Dumped him into voicemail.

They are trying to hack into your system. Do not answer or connect this call.

Keeps calling - doesn't leave message.

Have received a few calls from this number at work and the caller has such a thick accent, I can't tell exactly what they're calling about.  Terrible connection as well.  Something about "IT" and they want to verify my work address and information.  Told caller that I'm not at liberty to disclose any information about my work address.  I can only assume they're trying to sell something.  Very annoying.

Called asking for "Mark".  Well, we have quite a few of those, so I asked her for a last name and she gave me one I've never heard of before. So, I told her we had no one here by that name and then she asked for someone in our IT department.  Can't do it!  You don't have the contact name, I can't connect you.  Said they would try and call back!  I just love it when they say that... won't make a difference pal.  

I called back
Got msg saying, "please press 9 to be  added to do not call list".
So either I won't get any more calls, or if they are totally unscrupulous, I basically just validated for them I am a good working number and they'll sell me down the river to every spam caller out there...We'll see.

I received three calls yesterday, December 10, 2013, from this number.   I answered the first time even though I was busy, thinking I recognized the number, only to hear a guy address me by my name (well, yes, I answer the phone with my name) and asked if it was a good time for a "status update."  I said no, I was on my way to a meeting, and hung up.  I forget his name or company name, but, unlike other posters, it was a clear connection. He called back two more times.  I didn't answer.  Hoping I wasn't ignoring an important call, I looked the number up and found your posts.  Yes, I work in IT as well.

I and my co-workers get calls from these people all of the time.  They don't even know the name of our company changed almost 3 years ago.  We used to transfer them to the front desk or give them the main number, but since they call repeatedly and can't manage to make notes in their system as to where to call or update the company name, we transfer them to a porn line instead.  I might find them mildly credible as a professional organization if they at least knew who they were calling, but alas, they don't, so it's "bow chicka wow wow" for them.

Just received a call from this number... wanting our IT manager.. line was terribly broken and I could hear everything I said echoing.. girl on phone had very heavy accent.. said from IT Brief located in Beverly Hills California... when I asked for a call back number, she said she was so very sorry but her company rules would not allow her to give that out..... bawahwahaha!!  She hung up on me.

Guy just called from this number saying IT Brief.  Asked for me by first name, then inquired about our IT manager.  Told him we didn't have one so he asked for HR.  I questioned him on what he needed (thinking it was odd to go from IT to HR) and he wanted to talk to them about video conferencing.  I further questioned him as to why he would need HR to talk about video conferencing so I could direct him properly and he got huffy saying that it must be nice that I know what he needs.  Explained again that I was trying to help him.  He made a nasty comment and hung up.

Yep, IT Brief.  The barely intelligible woman had the nerve to transfer to my mobile phone.  It's amazing how quickly these calls end when you remind them of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991.
