I just called to see what it was all about and I am very interested they called me before but I was always busy now is the time...

I keep getting scan calls and scan text messages. AT&T can't do anything about it.
I called PUCO and they gave me the phone number to "The Office Of The President" for AT&T.
When I called them, she asked me "Where did you get this number from?" I told her PUCO.
The number is 1-800-564-3844

If we ALL use that number to complain, we might get somewhere about this crap.

I received a text msg (SMS) from this number 310-334-9661. It read:  Great News! Get a $100 shopping card at local stores & $120 in gas! Call 1 877-276-8339 to ClaimZZtounsub reply STOP.

Well, I was bored and I called the 1877 # and it sounded like a woman in her 80's trying her hardest to get me to give her my debit card #. It was CRAZY LOL...I could not believe what I was hearing. OMG...if anyone would even think about falling for this PLEASE....THINK AGAIN. yeah the elderly lady said "oh don't worry we will just put your debit card number in our database"....OH YES I AM SURE YOU WILL (LOL)

"Thanks 4 Visiting our website call 800-311-6601 to claim your $200 walmart voucher! reply STOP 2Unsub"

Received an unsolicited Text message from 415-548-0776 which reads: "Thanks 4 Visiting Our Website. Call 877-861-8581 to claim your $100 Wal-Mart Gift Card Voucher! Reply STOP 2 Unsub or Call 415-513-5459 2 Unsub Now" As I am on the "Do Not Call" registry, I reported the incident to the Federal Communications Commission.

Got a text saying: marilyn, Thx 4 Visiting Our Site Call 977-399-7795 To Claim Your $20 Wal-Mart Card Plus $50 Gas Card! Reply STOP 2Unsub

Same message except it is a $20 Wal-Mart Card and $50 Gas Card.  It says to call 877-603-5284 to claim and call 415-513-5459 to stop.  I'm getting these kinds of unsolicited texts daily now.

Received the text above yesterday and today.  I replied "STOP" yesterday but still received the text again today.

Similiar story: recieved a text from this number saying "Thanks 4 Visiting Our Website Please Call 866-630-3786 To Clain Your $100 Walmart Gift Card Voucher! Reply STOP 2 Unsub

From my internet research, this is a scam....I'll not be replying nor call

who is it?
how do I find out who it is?

I got the same message yesterday

I have the same thing 3times! EVERYONE: This is important!!!!!!!!!  Even if you have already txted STOP to that number, Sending STOP would not work beacuse the phone is thinking such number is existed all over Earth.


Here are my tips:
1- Don't subscribe to free stuff for example: Getting a free Ipad!!(Which everyone would want)
2-Call your SIM provider so they can trace the scam number and eventually notify you.
3-Tell your local police or the FBI about the SCAM

I thought it was against the law to us the phone for these purposes. I am on the do not call list.

Got a similar message a moment ago only mine was for a $100 Walmart Gift card voucher instead of $200....  

Oh, and the number they asked me to call was 877-861-8581..

I called the 877 number, got some lady on the phone,, it was about a product called Bromocleanz.. some kinda diet supplement..  anyway,, I asked her how she got my cell phone number and was told that it must have been because I visited thier website and put the number in..  I didn't.. I never heard of this product. Not even sure I have the spelling correct..

anyway, when I called her on it and demanded to speak with the boss, she hung up..  I called back, got a guy, asked him the same question, got the hang up again

Wrote to walmart and asked them if they were part of the scam. Not that I think they were, but I know how protective of their image they are so I figure they'll pursue it further..

I also went on the do no call site and added all my numbers again..just in case.

I have been getting the same "Thanks for visiting our web site...." text on my phone several times this month.  Evidently being on the Federal "Don't Call List" doesn't help.  No idea how they got my number.  I certainly didn't go visiting any strange web sites or giving out my private phone number.  This is costing me 20 cents a text.  I tried sending a response, threatening them with the FCC and the FTC, but the message "could not be sent" for some reason.  Evidently they can send annoying texts but can't receive them.  Thanks for the advice about contacting the mobile service provider to see if they can block the number.  I will do just that.  Best, Dana

don't reply to this stuff. they just dial tons of random numbers fishing for someone to respond. Once you do, they know that the phone number is actually in use and attended.

Got a similar message for wal-mart gift cards, and then another message from 917 306 7968 a week later.

I received a message from 415 737 8156, and checked this website. I didn't even open the message.

Any one knows how to stop it?
