I also got a threatening message from an Indian man with a thick accent telling me that I must not ignore the message and to call immediately or God help me with the events that are going to transpire upon me. I am so relieved when I looked this up and saw this page of comments.  This is a scam and I also inquired about a payday loan but did not complete the application.   BEWARE of FRAUD!

The same thing is happening to me too.  I retired in July 2011 and the phone calls stopped.  Now over a year later they are starting up again.  I guess they're running out of people  to scam and have to harass people who ignore their calls.  I have a block on my cell phone so if they leave a message it goes right to voicemail.  It just gets so annoying.

These people called my cell phone and place of employment telling me that I better have my lawyer call them as I have a very serious case against me.  I have called the authorities in California and was advised that this was a scam and to file complaints with my Attorney Generals Office and the FBI which I have done.

I received a phone call from this number one day its mark, then michael and sounds like the same man. He has called last year at this time. He is currently calling my job and I do not appreciate it. I let him know that I had looked the number up and told him that his numbers all of them are being marked for a scam. Again he tried to pry information out of me and stated that legal action will be brought against me and I will be sued,  but sorry not working. His accent is so strong could not understand the agency he is with.

I received a call from these people today. They stated that I need to contact my lawyer because I was being sued by somebody but they would not state who it was. I asked them to contact me by mail but they refused. I think these are people who are trying to scam people out of their hard earned money. They should be ashame of themselves. God don't like ugly!! I am going to pray for them and God will do the rest.

May I suggest a few things about 415-376-1480? I told the man and woman who called that I had reported them to CIA in which have not done so, but will do so. I think they are terrorists trying to steal the identity of Americans.

I contacted the legal departments and governmental departments in San Francisco, CA since the number is from that area. These entities are (San Francisco Sheriff Department, San Francisco Police Department, Governor & Attorney General of San Francisco, the Department of Justice, and my local Governor, and other departments). Next on the line is the CIA.

This is a serious offense to threaten someone in this magnitude especially if you are ill or disabled. Please contact these entities because the more complaints are submitted the more serious the matter becomes. These people should be investigated and indicted for fraud and who knows what other laws are being violated.

I was scam by this middle eastern today. He wanted me to give money at Wal.Mart. It is true that I have some out standing bills, cause my job down sized and im having a difficult time getting a head. The middle eastern man told me if I did not bring $685.00 cash to Wal.Mart and it will be truned into a voucher that I would be arrested tonite. I was afarid and believed him, but my six sense told me that something was not right, so therefore I went too the sheriff office in my community and provided them all the number and they pulled up this is fraud and some people have gave a lot of money too this so called bill collector. How do we stop this ?

This number left a message at my employer.  I called the Attorney General of my State and give them the phone number, called my phone company and let them know the numbers.  I called the number after speaking to State officials,  Told them I was recording the calls and what was the name of the person I was speaking with and the company, I said I needed it to give to the State Attorney General so they could handle the issues with them.  They hung-up.  Will see it they call back.

I got a call from this number (415) 376-1480 claiming to be Michael Carter, from some kind fraud investigation company. This same person tried to threaten me with legal action last week. I called the loan company directly and spoke to an associate. The associate. had advised me if this person had a indian accent,  straight outright the associate from that loan company told me " It's a SCAM ".!!! Just to let you all know there are two people and a women probably working out of rat hole are a bunch of low life losers.
DON'T  ACCEPT THESE PHONE CALLS WITH THE NUMBER LISTED ABOVE. THEY'RE  GOOD BUT STUPID AT THE SAME TIME. Be very careful they have other numbers they are working out of. Word Out.

Got a call at work telling me I owe money from a loan I didn't pay back. They said I would be arrested on Monday morning because it looks like I ran off with the money. His name is suppose to be Jason Phillips-with a middle eastern accent I could barely understand.

These damn idiots keep calling my phone and leaving messages telling me I need to contact my lawyer and if I don't then god so help me wtf?!!!!! SCAMMMM!!!!!!! Don't not give these people your info they are scammers!!!

I just receive a called from this number also and was told the same thing in a message!  Then he has the nerve to to call back, if I didn't put one good cursing on him....hope theyndont call back!

I also received calls from this people and left a message on my voice mail.Was told that if I or my lawyer don't call back -- "Good Luck!"  this is the exact word.   Thank you for these reports from all of you...God bless us!!

I also received a call from this number.. one of many numbers they call me from.. i too have received calls at work they even told me coworker i would be arrested. This is a total SCAM these people should be stopped i believe they maybe calling from India using Magic Jack. other numbers they've called me from. 707-666-9613, 904-827-7520.. If you google those number you will find many Complaints.. Don't be fooled by these Con artist.  I hope these people get arrest.

I have also received the same type of threatening calls from this number both on my cell and AT WORK telling me I was going to be arrested and all the same things said in other's posts.  This is after receiving an on-line cash advance which is being paid back as stipulated.  I am reporting this to my local sheriff's department.

653M California Penal Code if you are in CA may apply. Local authorities can assist. Might be routed out of the country, then our friends at the FBI can pull their plug.

They called my adult daughter on her cell phone after she was surfing the web for student loans. They said they were going to have her arrested for not making her payments and other nasty & hostile threats. She doesn't have any loans. Huge scam. DOJ/FBI, good case for you to be proactive.

same Exact thing happened to me! i was freaked out!! they are awfull people.. they said i was going to jail and everything.. i never even took out a loan with them, i dont even know how they got my personal information. they even called my work to threaten me for something i didnt even do! well reading all these kinda puts me at ease.

He called my phone and my job. Told me I need to call him back or I'll be arrested and sent to San Fran. Also said that if I don't call him "well God help". Said his name was John Stevens

Got a call threatening legal action saying if I didn't call them back then I wish you good luck with the outcome!! What the heck?! I applied for a loan but never took it!!

I too received a call today at my work place.  I can't remember the guys name; American name, middle eastern accent.  I was told to call Michelle Brown.  Just for fun, I tried to call Michelle and guess what!!!  Another American named fellow with a middle eastern accent answered but Michelle wasn't in...darn it!  Whether anyone receiving these calls is guilty of any action anytime in their lives, I believe it is against the law to call my workplace.  Not sure...will research.

he also goes by the name wiliam. he calls 6-7 times a day and sends texts from my phone saying to c.all this number back. He says I am in serious trouble

So far the same guy, who goes by David and james, has been calling all day stating my husband is being arrested at work tomorrow morning for money that we never recieved. When we ask what it's for he said we recieved 1000$. When we press for answers he hangs up. This is a scam an needs to be stopped.

These people keep calling harassing me saying that they are unvestistigating me for some money they gave that I didn't pay back..l this is some b***s*** and imngetting the police involved I blocked their number from my phone. They call non stop with their lying scamming b***s***

I was threatened with legal action for something I didn't do. I was told papers would be filed and sent to my address. I never stole money!!

I had to change mine and my husbands numbers. I told Verizon it was due to harassment and they waived the fee. My mom is getting calls from them now, NTELOS told her that they would waive the fee as well.

Does anyone know how I can block this number? I am getting tons of calls and they wont stop
