Well...  I received a phone call on Memorial Day pertaining to a payday loan in which I inquiered about and recieved.  At first panick took place and I was ready to offer a credit card number to a Michelle Brown to make sure that I was not arrested and charged with fraud.  She told me in a very heavy Middle Eastern accient that I had to pay off the loan because they were investigating it and found it to be fraud on my behalf.  BS, I am a normal tax paying citizen who fell into a financial hole and used a payday loan for a week of survival until I could dig myself out.  Michelle proceeds to tell me to purchase a bill pay card, it can be purchased at any supermarket in the area, then call them with the information.  Well it was 5:30pm on Mermorial day, I told her that the local stores were closed at that time.  She then referred me to Western Union the money to an address in Los Angeles CA., to a Frank Oshind.  When I started to ask her for a code city and an account number she became beligerent with me, told me she is not interested in helping me and hung up.  I made several attempts to call her back and when I finally got her she told me to stop calling there and I have to deal with my fraudualnt attempts.  After waitng 20 minutes for the police to come get me, I realized two things, one Government doesnt operate on holidays so no warrant will be issued, and two my loan has not defaulted.  I spoke to the loan company and they confirmed that my loan was in excellent status, and they do not collect debts in that matter.  When I called back Michelle told me that there was no way that I spoke to someone on the holiday Monday, LOL I spoke to her so why wouldnt other businesses be open.  She hung up again...  I will pursue this, even if it goes nowhere, I will make it my new hobby...  Michelle Brown, Frank Oshind (fake names ofcourse) you will get yours for taking advantage of all the innocent people.  Thankfully I thought it out before I just sent them money.  Please folks be aware and ask all the questions you can, if you receive this type of call check into it, anything can be googled these days.  Do not let these people take what you have worked hard for.  If you have any information on these types of things post them let everyone know what is going on.

Wow. I got the exact same call with the exact same message.  He said that if he didn't hear from me or my attorney that all he could do was wish me "good luck" as this "unfolds" on me.

My call came from 415-952-3898 a Fellow named Gary at Ed Marshalls office in Department of Legal Affairs.  I knew this was probably bogus, but it will get your attention at work!! This guy needs to be stopped!

I got a call from the same people and when I called him out on it he started laughing and said do you really believe you are going to be arrest I said no I just want to know who you are. He said he was trying to get me to give him my social security number but he had already got it from somewhere else. It is just a scam and now I am getting that same call from a different number.

The exact same people called me today twice for the first time, I googled the phone # and that's when I found out from other people posting about this # that it was scam

I just received a call from 415-376-1481 saying that I have payday loans that I falsely applied for and I have not been paying them. I do have a payday loan but it isn't even due yet, then this lady said that I put down I make $12,000 a month.  Now if I made that much a month I wouldn't need a payday loan, she don't even have the right info.   Then she asks me if I had been getting phone calls from the sheriff dept.  I told her no, she then says I will be getting arrested this eveving, I googled this # and it came up that it was a scam, but I still have this uneasy feeling.

it's just a scam.. they're trying to scare some money out of you. I would def report it to your local police dept. Just happened to me yesterday, scary to think these people have my information! :( Good luck.

yeah I got the same call except my guy's name was Eric Jones... but sounded like Apu from the kwik-e-mart! LOL I hope these guys get what they deserve. They had me going for a second, scared the crap outta me.. called me at my place of employment!

This company called on my job on 9/17/12. The caller ID at my work said it was a California call, they called
twice but would not respond or say anything. Then they called back and asked my boss if they could speak
to me, I asked the foreign lady what it was about and she kept directing me to another supervisor. She said
that they were from The Legal Dept threatening me saying I did something illegal with my SSN and telling me to call an attorney. She also left two messages on my phone. Who are these people

I received a call at my work.  The middle eastern man was wanting me to take a message for an employee.  When I let him know that I could not take personal messages for EE, the man started with obsenities - do you want a b*** j**.  I'll give you a b*** j**, how about if I cum on your face.  You're a dirty s**t.  I went on for 3 minutes.  Totally innappropriate.  I hope this person gets caught and charged with harrassment.

SCAM!! Please listen, even if you have taken loans and failed to pay them back (like myself); this is not the way legal firms or collection agencys work. i was told the same thing you all were told, i would be arrested and tried for check fraud or whatever and i almost did go pay the "bill" i owed. any legal issue will always start and end with paper work. if they called or emailed and failed to get ahold of you they will paper mail you documents. another good point, how in the hell would this "law firm" know when the police were comming to pick you up? they wouldnt have that info. they told me 11am at my house..cmon really? lol these lowlifes are just trying to make a quick buck. again if you have ever applied for a loan or got a loan, these people got your number and ssn and d.o.b. from that. dont think this is real. hope this helps..thanks!

Hi, i just received a message from this Ben Williams stating the same thing and he wouldnt give a lot of info just to wait to be served tomorrow and arrange for bail.  He said the paperwork will be out tomorrow.  he said i owed 552.25. He eventually hung up on me.  let me know what the outcome was.  Thanks.

this company called me stating that i had did computer fraud
they kept calling my home a indian man and then and indian woman.
They  said it has something to do with my ss# and some sort of loan on the internet. I applied but never got a loan for a car.  First they said they were sending me a letter in the mail and then  a threat to have me arrested the next day.  I start to ask them questions and then  they would hang up the phone.. They kept calling wanting my ss# and address they just keep calling. I have asked them to stop. If anyone has info on these people please  report them for harrassment. I am going give info to the FBI. in the morning. I also will  have to change my phone number.. All of this cause I applied for a car loan on line. and now my information is to every teller marketer  or con man. OMG I am getting phone calls as early as 8am until 9 at night. These people need to stop. Is anyone else having this problem please report them I only know this number is located in Cali. and I have called the police dept in San Francisco first, then I called the locals and called FBI but they are not open after 5 to take reports so they will be on my list in the morning.

The week before I received this call I got about 40 calls from advanced payday loans along with text messages. I told them to stop calling me. I was also told I won a grant from the US government for being a good citizen lmfaooooooo (I am a good citizen i just thought that was hilarious)

John left a message on my machine wishing me "good luck facing what was about to unfold upon me if I didn not call back". I called back, was hung up on. Called back from a second number and was told i had an outstanding advancedpaydayloan balance that was due and I would be arrested on Monday. I was hung up on. Called back again and said I got disconnected and he said "Yes and this is you getting disconnected again". Called again and my number was blocked. Filed a police report. Next time they call I am going to have some fun with them. :)

This number will call and threaten you. Do not give out personal information. Also your local police cannot help with this. Your best bet is to call your phone company and see if they can block the number.

get there info and tell them when you get the court paper you will go also you can go to your state website and find out by the clerk of courts of your state if there is something pending with your name

I started receiving phone calls from this number as well saying there have been 3 allegations against for why I am going to court. Said that I owed money to Cash Advance USA which I have never taken out a payday loan with this company or even heard of them. So I laugh and tell the indian guy he can take me court because he wont be getting any money from me because I dont owe anything. I guess he gets frustrated and then hangs up on me. Im reporting this to the police. And thanks for letting me know that this is a scam people.

I keep receiving calls from (Indian) people who I've told SEVERAL times to stop calling and take me off their list. When the numbers come through they are unknown. As I am looking for employment I answer all my calls. I've asked this unkown number to stop calling and take me off their list and today threatended to obtain a lawyer and sue for harassmant the (Indian) "gentleman" was saying cops are going to come get me and b/c I'm not following the legal protocol I would be sued as well. Asking to speak to a supervisor, I was refered to a Michael Cotter at (415)376-1481. Mr. Cotter said the man I spoke to, Gary Clark would not call anymore. I said I want taken off their list immediatly and didn't want ANY calls. He said okay and hung up. I asked for company name on several calls and they wouldn't say. I only have (I assume) fake names: Michael Cotter and Gary Clark.

just got off the phone with police department. they said these people are a scam and to not listen to anything they say just ignore them. threaten them and they will stop calling

been dealing with this the past 2 days they keep calling and harrasing me. i contacted the police department last night. contacting credit bureaus today along with my bank and credit cards

they're Indians.. You can tell the way they speak that they're Indians though they belong in Asian continent not all Asians are as idiots and as advantageous as them. Hi ma'am. I just talked to this Michael Carter with this number. He said officers will come to my house tomorrow with the lawsuit papers regarding to a loan I applied online but then I wasn't approved or qualified so I wasn't grant for the loan. And he said its bcoz of unsufficient funds on my acct. I didn't even get anything from them why would he file a lawsuit on me? Why shall I do? I'm unemployed and 7mos pregnant. I feel so terrible after receiving that call. :(

I received a call from 415-376-1481 His name is Eric and he was threating me with some debt that I owe and he wanted me to call him back right now.  I will be checking into this further, but it worries me that he has my work number and is calling me there too.
