| WTF-ever! 2011-06-06 20:48:36 Unknown |
Someone posted on another web that the scam is this: you can get your free gift cards if you pay a $2.00 s&h fee with either your Visa or MasterCard. What a joke! The company's name is Everyday Shopper out of Phoenix, AZ.

I was a victim of this "free" scam offer. I tried to cancel within one minute, after I stupidly gave them my credit card number, and was told it was too late to cancel. I then called my credit card
and cancelled my credit car. What a lot of aggrievation this company has caused me.
I was taken in by the offer of the gas card. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I did.
THIS IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM.

I too am a victim of this scam from Everyday Shopper out of Phoenix
Arizona. I cancelled my credit card and left a message on the
415-513-5459 telelphone answering machine to cancel my order.
I'm sure they will never get this message because I am one of
a million cancellation calls. Please let me know how you made
out with the info they were to send you. Thanks.

phony text

Received the same message - a variation of the same messages that I had received many, many times last summer. Filed a complaint with the FCC for each and every call. Plus, sent STOP message using reply and attempted to call the various numbers they provide on each message. The messages were the same, only the numbers were different. All to no avail. Received another one today from different company but they provided a web address. After filing another complaint with FCC attempted to go to their web site looking for a name and/or number. Found a name and discovered (surprise, surprise) no telephone number or any way to contact them except via on-line. Further research discovered many complaints about the company as a fraud...

Received the same text as everybody else.. Apparently they are still at it and the FCC complaints have not stopped them..
I will be filing one myself.

I did not visit any website and I did not call or respond to this scam. I have to pay for text messages on this type junk and I am on the National DO NOT CALL list.

Ok, I just got the same text message, but not exactly the same. I'm kinda jealous of all of you! My Wal-Mart gift card amount was only $20 and the gas card offer was $50. My reply text never went through either. Thanks for the good advice for filing a complaint with the FCC. THAT went through - I hope it stops them!

Wife called and we got nailed for a $28 dollar a minute phone charge. Phone company reversed the charge but said to report to FCC and FTC (http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm)

Received the text message "Thanks 4 visiting our website call 800-571-4835 to claim your $200 Walmart voucher! Reply STOP 2 unsubscribe or call 415-513-5459". When I try to reply with stop it never goes through.
I've never visited a website to enter my cell numberand, I'm not sure how to stop the unsolicited text messages or how I started receiving them in the first place

Two of these scam text messages in one day!! After receiving a number of others in recent weeks. So annoying.
Make sure you report it to your phone provider as well as to the FCC (http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm) as soon as possible so that they start doing something about it!

Received the same text message "Thanks 4 visiting our website call 800-571-4835 to claim your $200 Walmart voucher! Reply STOP 2 unsubscribe or call 415-513-5459" but I've never visited a website to enter my cell number because the cell phone this message came in on is is my work phone. Also, when I tried to "reply to the 415-513-5459" phone number as the message instructs, I received a message stating that this is a landline phone number. Therefore, I'm not sure how to stop the unsolicited text messages or how I started receiving them in the first place.

I received a text message from 650-305-0297 that read
"Thanks 4 Visiting Our Website Call 800-571-4835 To Claim Your $200 Walmart Voucher! Reply STOP 2 Unsub or Call 415-513-5459 2 Unsub Now"
I called the 650 and 415 numbers and I think they are cell phones, because I got the message "mailbox is full". Calling the 800 number you will get a company claiming to have information on walmart vouchers. The actual unsubscribe number given to me by this company is 800-440-9757. Hope this helps.
