same issue as karen...unsolicited text messages on verizon phone

Text message that states I won $20 gift card and $50 gas card. I did NOT go to their site that they are thanking me for..
Will not reply.SCAM....

I am being hammered with text messages on my mobile phone from this number: 415-548-0776. i is definitely some kind of a scam whcih talks about claiming $20 Walmart card and $50 gas card

Spam message about gift cards, it says reply stop to unsubscribe but the text won't go through.

Received an unsolicited Text message from 415-548-0776 which reads: "Thanks 4 Visiting Our Website. Call 877-861-8581 to claim your $100 Wal-Mart Gift Card Voucher! Reply STOP 2 Unsub or Call 415-513-5459 2 Unsub Now" As I am on the "Do Not Call" registry, I reported the incident to the Federal Communications Commission.

Damn them! I've gotten 7 texts in 3 days from them telling me to contact them for a $100 gift card to Walmart. I knew it was a scam since I don't use the web on my cell. I don't give out my cell to people I don't know or stores period.
I've filed a complaint with the FCC as I am also on the National Do Not Call list for both my home and my cell.

Sending me text messages. I did not ask for them to contact me.

Have had at least three text messages from 415-548-0776 that ring my phone between 4 and 6 am.  I have not visited their websit and hope I never do.  I have tried repying with a DNC text but it just bounces back.

I even called them back and as soon as I started speaking, they hung up.  So I called back again and immediately demanded to speak to a supervisor.  A different person got on the phone, apologized and promised to take me off the list.  Since then, I have received 5+ more text messages with the same message.

States I checked out their website so I can claim a Walmart gift certificate by calling a #/  Bull!!  I never checked out ANY site!

I just reported them to the FCC http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm after receiving them several times.  I am sick and tired of life being interrupted by spam!!!

Scam, scam, scam, congress needs to take action against these companies

My text says $100 walmart gift card.

Get call from 1-415-548-0776 telling me to call 1-877-861-8581 to claim Wal-Mart gift card.

AT&T service and I got the Thx 4 visiting our Website Plz call 877-861-8581 to claim your $100 Walmart Gift Card voucher. Reply STOP 2 unsub.  What jerk offs send this trash out. Telephone providers could stop this waste of time if really wanted except they make money from this too.

And one more thing... avoid the take a survey to win a free ipad. Survey after survey after survey. I think thats how it all starts.

I received the same text. I'm also a Verizon customer and my bill went up $30. There is two other numbers that text me the same thing. Text stop to unsubscribe and you wont be charged $9.95 a month. I've just been scammed.

i got a wal mart text and i'm on at&t... i'm reporting the number to the authorities now.

So is everybody that received this a Verizon customer?!  Are they the ones that gave out our cell numbers in the first place?  I received the same $20 walmart card message.

:-) Sorry that was funny, your comment not the scam!  I too have been getting unwanted texts from this phone number.  I have the option on my Droid to Black List the numbers and even then they still seem to come through! I called the number and a woman on the phone barley spoke English, she was trying to sell me something but I could not understand what she was saying!! I told her to remove my number and she said would you like a $100 Walmart Card? Total Scam!

did anyone get charged for this bogus service (415.548.0776) on their verizon wireless bill, other than text charges?

I dont want these people to tease me anymore its not fare........
