Caller ID just said blocked. I have been receiving these calls for months and finally answered. They said they were the San Mateo police dept. asked for my boss for a small project they have. Did not mention TBS at all. Larry if that's your real name, stop calling!!!!

Its not a "scam", the SFPOA just uses them to solicit money and tickets..so real thing and you really get tickets if that was your concern even though they sound shady..they are telemarketers after all..

I don't know who TBS Productions is, but they are extremely annoying. They call at ALL hours of the day and night. I asked politely that they STOP calling our house, but a week later they're at it again. Why can't something be done? They ARE NOT associated with any SFPD organization. I don't understand why they can't be put on the DO NOT CALL LIST!!!
I am going to report them to the BBB tomorrow.

I was called by tbs productions today, they misrepresent themselves as being from the police when they are not and are in violation of many do not call registry. This is a scam, they pocket almost all the money or themselves. If you want to give then donate online.

I just received a call from someone named Mark Armstead. The call was supposedly for my boss. I asked what it was regarding and three times he said "a small civic matter", even when I asked for more information. That seems awfully misleading.

I just got a call from "Mike" from SFPD Officers Association to buy a ticket that they are mailing to me to help at Risk Youth and they will be having a show at the Cow Palace to benefit these kids on Oct 23rd (I think that is the date he gave me). When I said I would support I got switched to someone else to verify my address....sounds like and smells like a skunk! Beware

Got a voice mail form 415 587-0912 Gery Lee left a message demanding i call him back urgently. When I called back the person answering the phone said Gery was out; refused to give the name of their company , tried to get my name and number, and said Gery will call me back.

Suggestion: do not donate to or purchase anything through TBS productions or any other "commercial" fundraising group. Though they claim to be soliciting for non-profit chairities, investigations have shown they regularly keep between 60%-80% of all monies raised - on average. Quite the lucrative scam for them, and historically - it goes way back.
