This number called our business today at 1322 hours. When I saw the strange number and "San Francisco" on the caller ID, I knew it was a bogus spam/scam call, so I picked up the phone but didn't speak. After a brief time, the call disconnected. (Speaking into the phone is usually what triggers those annoying robo-messages.)

If I remember the rules correctly, a company CAN use a robo-caller BUT they must state the actual name of the business AND provide a valid call-back number. As many prerecorded messages fail to do one or both, then those are illegal. (Obviously I'm not talking about cases of DNC listed phone numbers, which doesn't apply to businesses anyway. Unfortunately.)

if you call the number back you get a recorded message that states if you want to be removed from there list press one . it does not work !
1st a robo calls are not legal at all for sales . they can be made for other reasons there for they can make them because they are not selling you any thing ? they are promoting ?

they are just letting you know that they are offering you some thing . again right they are offering some thing ?
the sales part comes into play if they can get you on the hook !
it's just a scam like all the other fake business's that do the same thing by call you .
you call the number back and guess what there is no one to talk to they don't offer the name of there business or give you any other info .
why because they are scammers .
you can report them to the FCC like I do every time they call but that does nothing .
every person that get a call has to bi*** to the FCC then and only then will the FCC do some thing .
any business that does calls should be shut down ! no one wants places like this to call them and the hand full of dumb a$$'s that do fall for there line of crap are what keeps places like this in business .
so the bottom line is there's nothing any one can do about them .
it's kind of sad when you think about it really !

I get a call from 415-620-6238, a record message say I am qualify for a $25k business loan ...yada ... yada . I hang up. I did not apply for any loan. This is a robo call.
