oh my god! so did I! i did my research and the foreign accented man told me the same thing about a legal case

WAY TO GO Brother!!!  I am absolutely ROTFLMFAO!!!!

I called the number they gave.  Told them that the US Navy had launched a Hellfire missile against his building because all Indian scammers are now considered terrorists and that the US NSA is monitoring all calls coming in to US.  He hung up pretty fast, but I think I got most of the information to him.   Maybe they'll think twice about scamming Americans.

I think the US NSA does monitor all calls coming in to US.  

These calls originate in India.  They spoof US  202 area code because it is Washington DC.  Just ignore 'em.  Complain to police.  Or local Attorney General.  They've called me.   You can always hear Hindi voices in background.  Total scam!

I made a typo in my original post. The number is 415 690-1141 (not 414 690-1141)

I got a call from (414)690-1141 called ID said VOIP CALLER. I made the mistake of answering the phone. A guy with an Indian accent claiming to be with an investigations unit of the IRS claiming I owed money for 2012. I questioned the caller ID as well as his lack of professionalism. I asked for his name or ID# and he refused to give either to me. I stated that I thought he was a scammer and that's when the colorful language started. I told him I was going to call the IRS directly and I hung up. While I was on the phone in queue with the IRS, he called back 6 times. I've blocked the number and will be reporting it to the IRS and the FCC.

Yesterday I received two calls from this number and left one message. He claimed to be IRS officer David Jackson and wanted me to call them immediately as it was an "extremely time sensitive matter". He warned not to disregard the message as there is tax deficiency.

I received a couple of calls from this number and a person claiming to be IRS officer, David Jackson, left a message asking to call back immediately as it is "an extremely time sensitive matter" because there is some tax deficiency.

I received 4 calls today from this number saying that his name is john Davis ( big fat jerk, who got no life but to harass people)...
Following was the message was transcribed by my phone carrier...

This message is for a date for our super outage super charge the battery second you receive this message I need you or your retain attorney off racket to donate the call. The issue right behind is extremely time sensitive beep. My name is John Davis. My address that they is eight zero named revenue service department and hotline to my division is 4156901141. I repeat it's 4156901141. Don't try to disregard this message donate(?) at the call as soon as possible before any legal allegations take place."

This message is for Umesh.  Umesh, the very second you receive this message I need you or your retained attorney off record to return this call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is David Jackson from IRS that is internal revenue service department and the hotline to my division is 4156901141. I repeat it is 4156901141. Don't try to disregard this message and do return the call as soon as possible before any legal allegations take place. We have determined that there is a deficiency in your income tax. So goodbye and take care I'll be over there."

I got a caller stating he is from the irs this is an Indian accent said not to disregard the call or legal action will be taken this is not a irs # so be care full make sure to report the scam to the police and the irs so the can crack down on the basterd

i got call from same phone # and caller id was VoIP caller. He introduce with his name John. he left the voice mail saying i have deficiency in my income tax payment. I wish they can use there brain to make this world better and more successful rather using and wasting there time doing this scam.

I received a call from this number 415-690-1141    telling me he si calling from irs  and there are discrepancies in may tax file 2012 . they send letters, case going to court , you will be arrested . when told i do not owe irs anything and alll files are fine. he want me to speak with an officer and was trying to give the person name and id and he wan to me tao call him, at this point  he became rude and used a bad word    ------------ and it wa sin Hindi language. these people  are taking money and do something to stop this. this is america. this call is from within usa  , we must stop this

Thanks for all your information. I got a call from this person 3 times today, 1/28, all saying that I should not disregard the message and immediately call back this number. Please don't fall for these stupid calls.

The accent was Filipino for sure. Block your number by dialing *67 before calling the mother F... back and curse him out. The IRS NEVER calls over the phone. Ask him if he would like to take it up his a _ _ , and that you have notified the Feds to track him down...the calls will stop.

I got the same message 3 times on my home answering machine. It was too late for me to call them back, but I will call them tomorrow and scam them.

I also received  calls from VOIP Caller(415-690-1141), similar to the ones described above, on 1-27-2014.

We got a call too - from James Brown. Very strange accent or voice modulation software. They left two messages one after another. From that, I knew it was a fake call. The IRS would never bother to call you twice!

Someone called from this number and said I owe IRS taxes. They said my account will be seized and there will be arrest warrant. Be carefull.

I keep getting a VM  on my phone by an Indian guy impersonating as Gary from IRS.
This idiot said it is very important not to disregard this message and call 415-690-1141 as soon as possible before legal allegation take place.
Be very careful and don't give them any information.
As a law abiding citizen and tax payer, if in doubt, stop by nearest IRS office or call them directly @ 800.829.1040

BTW .... upon contact, IRS confirmed that they do not initiate contact with taxpayers by email to request personal or financial information.  This includes any type of electronic communication, such as text messages and social media channels. The IRS also does not ask for PINs, passwords or similar confidential access information for credit card, bank or other financial accounts. Recipients should not open any attachments or click on any links contained in the message. Instead, forward the e-mail to phishing@irs.gov.

We got a call this morning claiming that a case was filed against my mom by the IRS, and gave a case number.  The guy asked us to call 415-690-1141 and talk to an officer, James Anderson regarding the case.

I also received this prank call on jan. 24 th and the person asked me to pay $ 3500 in cash . If we did not pay those, I will be arrested for next 6 months without any bail.. We got afraid and anxious about this, later we started thinking why he said he will settle outside the court and will not accept the check .We dialed 911,and lady officer said don't pay any amount, and make sure with IRS guys if there are any discrepancies.
Then we googled this number and came to know that was a prank...  Phew........

I also got similar call stating it's from IRS and said that legal process has started with arrest warrant issued for evading tax. They wanted to solve the matter if i pay them cash through some voucher. I notified my local PD.
