Was the company real

I haven't had a checking account in over 4 years. receiveda call from this number and i have know idea what this is about

I had a voicemail saying something about checks written by me indirectly and said the last 4 digits of my social and my name but when I called it back it just rang and when their voicemail came on it was a guy saying hi u reached me im in a meeting or out the office leave your name and detailed message. Weird cause I dont write checks and the call was from California and I live in ohio.
