So much for the FTC shutting down "Rachel".  Looks like they have more work to do to put a real stop to these illegal robocalls!  The one that called me today didn't leave a message.

From "Credit Card Services" to "Stimulus Money" - these lying b*****ds are most likely and offshore Persian or Asian telemarketing scam operation.

Best thing to do: keep a whistle by you phone and answer when this number comes up on your caller ID (which is probably spoofed).  Say or do anything to get one of their "reps" to speak with you.  During the conversation. talk very quietly so the person has trouble hearing you.  When they ask you to repeat yourself r talk louder, blow your whistle into the phone as loud as possible to shatter their eardrum.

I am so sick and tired of these calls.  I'm on the Do Not Call Registry and they still call.  Where do I turn them in at???  I do not have an outstanding credit card bill that I want to lower my interest.

Calls from this number, assuring me this is my "final chance" to take advantage of their offer to reduce my credit card charges.  Told a customer representative that I am on the DNC list, and he replied "Okay" and hung up.  I dialed the number and got a voice mail that had a prompt for removing my number.

I'm sure I'll get another call tomorrow, , ,and the next day., etc.

I find it very helpful to wait to speak to a customer service rep and then say I am so sorry but I do not understand why you are calling me, I don't have any credit cards and not even one debit card.  If I can't pay by cash or check, then I don't need the item.  The customer service rep usually verifies the address and I say well that is my address but I don't have any credit cards.  There is another lady here in this city with the same name and medical can't tell us apart.  Maybe that is who you want to be calling.  That address is *****.  They thank me and say they won't bother me again and usually they are true to there word until they pull up stakes with one state/phone number and then I start all over again.  I find that works the best.  I mean they lie to us on the phone trying to trick us into giving up vital information so I just play with them.  But so far it has stopped the day in and day out phone calls.  But remember they are not allowed to call cell phones unless you invite them to call, those calls to cell phones can be dealt with by the authorities.  Landlines are a little more tricky.  This call came from San Francisco which is a new location to be called from for me.  Usually Florida or Texas.

Caller ID says card Services. Samo Samo. Didn't answer this time but the same caller ID shows up all the time. This time it shows its from some place in Indiana but they can spoof their numbers so it can be from any place. I have answered them several times and the routine is told by several previous callees. Wish there was a way to stop this garbage.

They called and hung up. Just about to block all area codes soon besides my own. But they do sometimes use mine and other nearby area codes. You can not answer the phone like normal humans used to anymore.

1 hour prior to this 9:12 am call I got a call from 408 204 7614 which hung up in the same way. When calling that # back you get one ring, then a busy signal. After call #2 this morning I believe they were generated from the same orginization. The # I've written above did not have any reports attached to it so I began by posting one. Anyone else get that one? San Jose cell phone.

I get very mad to have to continue along with all this. Sure they will leave you alone for 4-5 days, then come back with a new attack using a different #.

This is the worst telephone era to live in!

They've been calling our house during the day, several times this week so far. Yesterday, they left no message. Today, we got a message that said something about "last chance!" and to press so-and-so for your last chance to receive something about the stimulus. I can't remember exactly what it said, since my husband deleted the message. We are on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY. Why do they keep bothering us??

They get money if they send an Identifier to your phone company. It is only a very small amount, but times that by millions of calls and it makes a lot of money. It is robo dialed.  It is also a supposed Debt Collection agency. Do NOT RETURN the Call, DO NOT press 1, that only tells them that it is a valid number, and they will keep calling, from different numbers. Keep reporting them to the Government(lets hope they actually do something)

It's a SCAM.  They don't adhere to the DNC list and the government can't do anything to stop them because they're constantly changing numbers.  If you answer the phone, or call them back, you're telling them that your number is "live".  As soon as you do that, they start selling the numbers to other scammers.  DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE IF YOU DON'T RECOGNIZE THE NUMBER.

These people have been called me at least a dozen times over the course of several weeks.  Usually when I answer and choose the prompt that is supposed to connect to a "customer service" representative, I hear a click followed by a busy signal.  Today, I was connected to a recording, a tweak to the scam, I guess, announcing that I was number eleven in queue to speak to a rep.  In a few seconds, I was number seven, then number four, and within about a minute a guy came on the line.  I asked him the purpose of his call and he said, "I'm giving you a chance to lower the interest rate on your credit cards."  When I asked, "Who do you represent?", his reply was "Visa, Mastercard, and Discover."  Then I said, "No, SPECIFICALLY, who do you represent?", and he hung up.  I called the number back, 415-325-6637, and was presented with an automated prompt menu, press one for a customer service rep, two to be removed from the call list, a third for something else, I can't remember.  Of course, I chose prompt two, and then a recording was played that stated my number had been removed from their list, and that I would not be contacted again, although it could take up to forty-eight hours to take effect.  We'll see.  I'm thought the "Do Not Call" nationwide registry that I renew every few months should have prevented these scammers, and I intend to report this number to the site, though I'm sure they must have already received numerous complaints.

Received a call from this # just before noon on 11/07/2012.  Was greeted by the **legendary** "Rachel" robo-message for the zillionth time.  Once again, I pressed the option to speak with a live representative.  I noted that these scammers have changed things up a bit - they now have a message indicating your status on the que list of callers waiting to speak to a representative.  I started out at #26, though within a couple of minutes, I was down to #4, then at last, I spoke with "James" an (african-american?) male that asked "How are you doing today?"  I had my trusty whistle at hand and proceeded to blow three blasts of high DBs into the handset.  After that, I shouted "THAT's how I'm doing, A$$hole!!!!" and hung up.  I hope James' hearing is suffering a bit now.  Perhaps he will think about what he is engaging in as a pissant caller working for outright SCUM.

Get the same calls.  They claim they want to lower your rate.  They want your card number.  they only have the first diget.  If they are a credit card company they would have your number.  I think they are trying to get your card number to scam you

This is the same "Card Account Services" that has been calling literally every week. This time, they left a recorded message on my answering machine saying "press 1 to speak to an operator, press 3 to be removed from the list. Again, we're calling about lowering your credit card interest rate."

They use different phone numbers every time they call, but the recorded message they play is the same every time.
