HNE called me, I told them that I saw all this scamming stuff that it made me uneasy, and they kept telling me "they can see my heads not right"........How can a company thats so legit gets so defensive when you question what your finding on the internet. They simply told me to do my homework on the company, but wanted me to only look at their website, once I googled the company I found all this. I would have done it if they could have proven to me that they are legit. They wouldn't do it without the $300, which showed me that my judgement was right now to go through.

Bottom line is this, if you have the look and you are open to most anything and being single helps, they will send you out for different casting calls. HNE sent my "profile" out before I had my page up and running.

Not everyone can be on TV!

YOU MUST HAVE THE LOOKS!!!

The Little Secret HNE Casting Fail To Mention
Becareful What You Wish For, The famous Ballon Boy's Dad wanted To be In A Reality Show Gig Again. He was So desperate That He Used His Family To get Media Attention. I Bet You That, People Like Shawn Mitchell,Derek Rogers And Scott camron Are Loving This. You Know They Will Make You Believe You Are a Superstar Untill They Get A Hold Of Your Credit Card. What They Fail To Tell You Is That You Are Not Entitle To A refund If You Dont Like The $9.99 Webprofile They Built For You. Mr . Derek Rogers Will Tell You That "When You Open A Bag Of Chips You Don't Eat Half A bag And Then ask For a refund". I Don't Know How They Do Bsnss. In Canada But Here In The Good Ol' USA If The Product Sucks !You Get A Refund!!!!! Don't Deal With HNE Casting And Those People Mentioned Above .. Look At The Sample Of Their Credit Card Authorization Form

Why Would anyone In Their Right Mind Sign This Form. I Didn't But They Are Arguing That My Ok Over The Phone Is Good Enough. But What They Fail To Mentioned Was Such Acknowledgement Accptance . I Clearly Asked Scott Camron From Hne Casting , That I Needed To see What The Clause Or Form Said Before Giving Them My Credit Card He Clearly Said There Was No Clause Or Contract. That All It was Just And Authorization To Withdraw From My Account. HE CLEARLY FAILED TO MENTION OF THE NO REFUND POLICY AND OF THE NO SATISFACTION GUARANTEE. You Want To Know Why/?????? Because The Phone would Have Gotten Hang Up. Simply Put If You Have Beeing Rip off By HNE Casting Please Contact The BBB, And File A Complaint Against Their Disclosure Tactic. casting ninja is right... he isn't slandering. he is stating a fact. "rival" companies are also scams, especially because you can find castings for FREE on much more legitimate sites that only make money off of advertising, NOT off of charging people a b***s*** 15% commission.

the casting directors that they CLAIM to have "TESTIMONIALS" do not have any credits on IMDB.

and i know for a fact that casting directors and associates get credit on credit scrolls.

you dont need an agent for reality. you dont need to pay. that is the beauty of reality tv.
wouldnt you like to know.
wouldnt you like to know.

ok listen up people:

People don't need comp cards to be on reality shows!!

i have been working in casting for YEARS and have never ONCE needed a comp card to consider a person for a show. they simply apply, interview or make an audition tape.

They can use FREE sites like REALITYWANTED.COM or GOTCAST.com search for casting announcements on google, just go directly to the Network's website to find out if a show is casting. or look up the casting company that is casting the show!

listen people, you DONT need to pay this guy 15% of whatever you make.

that would mean that if you won survivor, you'd owe him 150,000!!!!!
that is just insane. that money is for YOU.

In fact, i am outraged that HNE claims to be assocaited with many of the shows i have worked on, because i have never once spoken to someone who was referred or booked by them!

dont buy into it.

Look at IMDB, it's a comprehensive listing for nearly every facet of the entertainment industry; every reality show has a listing, complete with the name of the casting director or the casting company employed.

I'm so glad I can across this website.I got a call today from some guy named Jack Diamond 415-839-8866.He asked me about the reality t.v show application I had put in,then he told me to email him at jd@hnecastings.com 3-5 face shots and 3-5 body shots the guy was calling to much if you wanna ask me.Then he dropped the bomb on me when he asked me to send him 288.75 for talent cards. What type of crap is that? He asked for my credit card# I lied and told him I didn't have on and asked if I could send him a money or and he gave me some Canada address.I guess he thought I was dumb so when I researched hne this is what I found thanks to all of you for letting others know is there anyway we can prosecute them for this?

Ok I got call also so I contacted the BBB and according to them there has been 7 complaints filed on them in the past 36 months and all are resolved but one it gives you a map to the office and all. I then checked California's business law page and yes it is legal to get you to pay for your cards but if they do not attain you a job within the time limit they are required to return your money to you as long as you kept your end of contract so before listening to all these blogs I suggest you check with these two sites www.bbb.org/us/ HNE can not change any of this info so you know it is from an outside source they can not control. also do a google search for california attorney generals office consumer alerts on both sites you must search Hollywood North Entertainment it will give you the info and then judge for yourself .
Hmmm...

Hello all,

My name is Shawn Mitchell.  I'm the CEO of HNE Castings.  It never ceases to amaze me how people offer up opinions like they are fact.

Here are the facts:

HNE uses industry standard comp/talent cards to market individuals that they have selected or deemed a high percentage cast within the Reality TV genre.

HNE provides the creative work for these cards free of charge.

The client is responsible for the print production of these cards.  They have the option to outsource the prints on their end, or use a recommended print company by HNE.

HNE does not profit one cent from the print production of the cards.  They outsource the prints to a third party vendor.

HNE does not make a dime until they find work for their clients.  They receive a 15% commission on any income securing opportunities that they provide for their clients.

Therefore, if HNE does not provide their clients with work they LOOSE money!!!!!  If it was a scam, it would be the dumbest scam in the history of the world.

If your going to offer an opinion or answer someones question, at least have the decency to do your due diligence or have some knowledge in what you are talking about.  They say ignorance is bliss, but not when your ignorance affects others.

I'm always available to answer any inquiries one may have.

Sincerely,

Shawn Mitchell

I had just recently applied for reallity show and was called by a Jack Diamond.  He said to send pictures and then he called back the next day and said 288.0? was needed immediately for casting shots.  Please do not give any money to this man. PLEASE!!!! He didn't get me, Thanks to all those who wrote in, KEEP IT UP!

I googled him and was able to find out he was a fraud from what I read from others, believe these words if you have to pay don't play, remember why you needed the show.  YOU NEEDED MONEY OR YOU NEEDED HELP and paying them is helping them, does that make since, THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And GOOD LUCK!!

I received a phone call from a Jack Diamond also requesting $288.75 ($250.00 plus tax) for some type of card that is needed in order to get me on a program. I am a single mother living on SS disability $640.00 per month supporting a 14 year old daughter on that amount and he wants $288.75! Any one out there who has paid this amount and actually got on one of their reality shows? Please let me know.
