I got the same call today in Marin County (Jan 31, 2012 three months after last poster). Lady with a heavy Indian accent comes on the line. I can barely make out what she is saying, and finally I figure out she is saying "hydrotherapy massage in corte madera". She is  speaking in a room where at least 10 other people are talking on phones. The phone connection is very bad, she is obviously in "India", and I am the wrong target for this lame solicitation.

Please note that the call came from "Federal Financing" (according to Caller ID)

They have obviously changed their outbound number, but not their pitch.

Recieved this call several times this month at different times of the day.  Called Verizon and all they could say was that it is likely a solicitation call and they referred me to the do not call number.  Wondering what the point is......it must be costing someone some money?

I was also called many times by this number, i picked up today and they said they were from the Wellness center in Corte Madera and offered me a hydro massage. Anyone else get any answers?

Do not know this caller. IT was obviously computer-dialed, with the typical delay before anyone speaks. Just before I hung up, I could hear background noise (ie. as in a call center) and a woman with a heavy accent saying "hello".

Update.  I just spoke with Comcast, who checked the number and said it is listed with PacBell. Not sure if call PacBell and reporting will do any good. I did find out you can block up to twelve numbers if you are with Comcast.  When you pick up the phone to make an outgoing call, press *60.  It will walk you through on blocking a number. I am guessing that this is an active number, however they have it set up only to make outgoing calls and they have set up the recording to say the number is disconnected. Perhaps recorded from a disconnected number so it is identical to the recording we are accustomed to hearing when we have dialed a disconnected number. If you aren't with Comcast, call your provider and check to see if they have a number blocking feature. If everyone blocks this number they will no longer be able to annoy us.

We have also been receiving calls from this number on a daily basis.  Couple of times I have been home but no one is there when I answer.  When I call back I get the recording it has been disconnected. I did a reverse look up and the address is 48 Marblehead Lane, Novato, CA 94949 (The Ignacio area). We also use Comcast for our phone service. I don't know if reporting this to them will do any good, but I guess it is worth a try and they can verify if it is a valid number.

Add our number to the growing list of people who get a call from 415-883-1237.  We are in Corte Madera.  Besides the fact we live in Marin, what is the common thread that connects us to this annoying (DISCONECTED) phone number?  We are using comcast, but I don't think that is it.  It's been happening since at least the beginning of October.

Anyone have any ideas/thoughts?

this number has called me EVERYDAY, sometimes two to three TIMES a day for two months. I have never been here to answer, if I ever do they will be read the riot act. How is it that a number can call mine but if I call back the stated number it rings as a disconnected number - how does this happen, how is this legal, how is this right?

I have been getting these calls lately. Forget it!

I've been getting these calls the last couple of weeks - every day, lately.

Well, count me in--I also live in Novato.  "Juan Perez Tell" keeps calling me, too, from 415-883-1237.  When I call back, I get the message that the number as been disconnected. The 883-
prefix indicates the southern area of Novato.  What gives??

Yes, I get a call regularly and have for months.  I call back and the "number" has been disconnected.  I plan to call Comcast about it and see if they can permanently block the number?!?

I have received numerous calls from this number as well.  I'm also in Marin Co.  Number is definately an Ignacio number but "disconnected".  Each time I get a call I go onto the Do Not Call registry and file a complaint.  Hope someday this will stop.

Same deal as other 2 posters. I don't know if these people are in Marin county CA, but I live in San Rafael, and the number is listed to someone in Ignacio, CA. Same county.

I keep getting a call from this number and I get a recording that the number has been disconnected.  The name attached to the number one time was"Juan Perez Tell."

I called the number back immediately afterwards and there is a recording saying it has been disconnected or not in service?!?!
