another cal no message - ignore do not call SICK AND TIRED OF THESE CALLS TOO

They called me twice. They always ask for the "home owner". The first time they called I responded with the standard not interested. The second time they called and asked for the home owner I told them they called a cellphone and I live in my truck with my pet goat. He apologized then hung up. No other calls.

Received call from 415-992-7915; when I answered, no one was there.

Get a call from 415-992-7915 several times a week. I've told them numerous times to remove me from their call list, but they still call. Callers name is always Alex, East Indian, said he was calling for US Home Improvement and Remodeling. Also says he has no authority to remove me from the call list. Also lied to my daughter when she answered, telling her he had spoken to me the day before and I was interested in home improvement. Somebody shut these people down!

When I answered there was no one there then the line went dead.

Read my post, two above yours.  Not sure what the point is of coming to a site like this if you don't take the time to find out about the number that appears (and is not valid) on your caller ID.

I asked to be put on the do not call list 4 months ago and they are still calling 3-4 times a day, I have reported the number to the national do not call registry, contacted the local police and sheriff, contacted my cell phone provider corporate office

ty for letting us know were not alone have you resolved this issue? we have contacted the police sheriff and the national do not call registry they said they have 30 days to quit calling or be fined 16,000 dollars and they still call 2-4 times a day

Repeated calls - no message.

Al - - - Did you not read any of the earlier posts.  These calls are robo-dialed by a computer.  They just dial numbers in sequence.  They don't "get" your cell number.... they just keep dialing numbers, and hope a dumb person answers the phone.  Hopefully you realize that the number that appears on your caller ID is not valid either.  It is "spoofed" using a complex system of VoIP switching.  These are scammers, and the phone companies and the governments seem pathetically hopeless (or actually indifferent) in their ability to stop them.  The best thing to do when you get a call from a number you don't recognize is...... don't answer it.

They want you to get new windows. It sounds crazy, I know. They called many times and have been told no thank you, many times. Today I answered and informed that my number was on the do not call list. The caller, (mike) told me that his number was on the list, but calls didn't stop, that they had NO intention to stop calling, and there was nothing I could do about it except buy into his home improvement offer. I offered a colorful response telling him that the next time I received a call I was going for harassment, mike didn't like that and hung up on me. Im not one to be nasty by any means but I guess getting 6 calls a day will do that to someone.

I have had all these scams happento me as well.All of then and one more. The gentleman asked me these same questions in 2010 . I had no Idea and he asked me to let him show me how bad my computer was and so I followed his prompts and then he says that he can fix my computer if I buy this program with my credit card for 195.00. So then I was not sure and put him on hold called my husband and he told me to hang up. Whew ! I was almost taken.They harrass me 2-3 times a weekstill. How do I get them to stop?

They called me and said I have problems with my windows operating system so I replied " I have a Mac you dumb mother f****rs!" and I told them to scam somebody else.

received a call from this very rude man with a thick accent named Albert stating that i could add a second line for really cheap when i insisted that he explain to me what company they were stated Comwave then when i told him politely not interested he kept rambling on about their service asking about my internet access so i rudely told him that i am not interested and then i hung up on him then i called the actually company Comwave  and put in a complaint they kept apologizing repeatedly stating blah blah blah i gave them the number that called me 1415-992-7915 and the manager stated not their number and will put in a complaint to the right dept. YA RIGHT!!!! hope this helps others be weary of scammers

p.s same number calls stating that you have a virus on your computer with windows lol just tell them you have a Mac they shut up and then hang up

This number calls at least 3 times a day, they don't acknowledge you asking to be removed from their listing!  The PAKISTANI OR SOME MIDDLE EASTERN ACCENTED CROOK on the other line claims to be from a company called "Comwave" but in signing up for this "new"  telephone service, they require all your personal information.  DO NOT GIVE THEM THE TIME OF DAY!  You can lookup Comwave's Website.............you will see that they Do NOT Service CANADA at all!

hahaha, he identified as being from Comwave, but he never got the chance to pitch me. He called the wrong house. I baited him with a bunch of derogatory stuff i wouldn't repeat here, and certainly don'y mean in real life, but boy did he get mad. First he claimed he was at 61 Wildcat road in Toronto. Which, of course, he's not. After baiting him, he asked my name so I said Stephan Harper. He started to call me Stephan. I said I lied, my real name is Wayne Gretzky. So he called me Wayne. He had no idea who these people were, proving not from Canada. I said I lied again, it's actually Barack Obama, he said then he knew I was putting him on now. I said that because he was a liar saying he's calling from Canada and yet didn't know our PM. So anyway, I told him to stop calling little old Grandma's and get a real job. He told me he had a degree (they ALL do), and that this isn't his real job. His english was garbage, so I asked him does he even know where I am, when he tried to pronounce Saskatchewan....lol, I owned him, he said skarteran...couldn't pronounce it.....so, what city? He didn't know, I said 'You called me. yet you don't know?" This is most certainaly a scam from out of country. The number is autodialed and spoofed as a fake call display.

Yes they seem to have details of your internet and telephone number.  its annoying especially when im ex-directory!

Just got a call from this number. They asked if we had high speed internet. Answered no then they hung up. Same number that appears above. (415-992-7915)

is got pissed off because they kept calling but as soon as i start telling them to screw off and stop calling they hang up in the middle of the sentence...comwave...wtf is comwave

I have gotten calls from this person before (always from different numbers).
He is very persistant and talks very LOUD to the point of shouting.  He tells you that you have a virus in your computer and that they need to install an update (more like they need to install spyware).  the only thing that shuts him up is when you say you do not have a computer :)

I just received a call from this number once I answered they hung up I called the number back and got an answering service I have no caller I'd so I *69 the num not surer of who the company name was

The Prince George RCMP would like to warn the public of recent fraud attempts in the community.

The latest scam reported in Prince George involves a person calling residents to report that their computer is not functioning properly or that they are promoting a new program to make their computer better. The computer owner allows access to the computer remotely, via the internet. The fraudster states that he is doing a ?scan? and fixing or up grading the computer. The fraudster is actually installing ?spy ware? or other malicious software that will capture sensitive data such as banking information, dates of birth, user names and passwords. These fraudsters often use company names that most people are familiar with.

At the conclusion of the call, the scammer requests a credit card number and may even ask the victim to send payment via a wire transfer company. On checks with the bank a couple hours later, the fraudster had already attempted to apply for a credit card with the information he obtained from accessing the victim?s computer. Wire transfers cannot be traced or recovered by the police.

Police would like to remind the public that allowing someone to remotely access your computer is extremely dangerous and can leave you vulnerable to a variety of frauds. Reputable companies do not require payment via wire transfer. Unless given access by the computer owner, there is no way that someone else can know whether your computer is functioning properly or not.

The Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre has received over 350 similar fraud reports since the attacks started occurring in eastern Canada in February 2011. Credit card transactions or wire transfers have been made for up to $500.00 in each of these cases. As the telephone solicitors are from foreign countries, prosecution is unlikely.
