No idea who is calling me from this number and when I call back it says the number you have called is not in service

Received call on 1/9/09 at 5:31pm.  Name displayed was "Canada Call".  Caller did not leave a message.  Call must be from an autodialer since our telephone number is unlisted.

No they are VERY easy to sue , you can file suit online and if you follow my guide it takes all of 3 to 10 mins to find out exactly who they are that is calling you. Changes in federal law enable people to bypass the telescum firm calling you and instead sue the company who HIRED the telescum to call you. It is easy to find the company responsible for the calls.

You can file suit in small claims court it is SUPER easy if you KNOW how and what laws and codes they have broken, also you cant just serve the company you have to serve there registered agent ( which is even better as my guide explains !). Also documenting every call is needed , my guide has a call data kit with forms to fill out you can present in court.

Ive made 28k this year of telescum by sueing them , half the time they settle out of court upon serving them a demand letter!

Kick the telescum in the pants ( and wallet ) by suing them ! You do not need a lawyer to do so nor do you need to know legal jargon. You can file online in most areas now for small claims court. Just one phone call from telescum can result in 9 or ten violations of law and federal codes and regulations, each of which results in you gaining $500.00 in damages per violation !! You can seek treble damages as well to make sure you get the full $5000.00 in small claims court.

People take action now and unit and sue the pants off these telescum !! It is not that hard to do , but again you have to have the knowledge to do so , take it from someone who makes a hobby out of suing telescum !!

I was to give my information to the marketing rep. to find out if I was eligible for mortgage relief from the Obama stimulus plan.

I pressed 1 for more information.  Sounded like some guy in his home listening to loud music.  He sounded happy thinking I was someone named Chris.  I said he called me not the other way around.  Sounded quite surprised and stated it was an automatic dialer.  When I asked the name of the company he hung up.  I called back and Verizon was "unable to complete my call".

This was my cell phone which is ON the "do not call list".

Very frustrating!!!

Changing your number won't help. I changed my number and actually started getting more calls. They use an autodialer to dial random numbers, so nobody is safe. At work they have called the fax machines, postal machines, even the emergency telephones in the elevators. The only way to get them to stop calling (or at least slow down) is to not answer the phone (no voice mail either) for about a month.

**Consider this my complaint.** I too am sick of all this crap that goes on through the telephone lines. Someone called me from this number tonight at 6:07pm central time. Telemarketer or not, it NEEDS to stop!!! If it is a telemarketer, they need to be stopped for good!

My boyfriend is in the Navy and is at sea right now and we don't get to talk a whole lot at all and I like to keep my phone line open so that he can call me whenever he gets a chance. It's a major pain to deal with these telemarketer people!! I am about to change my number and not give to anyone but family, friends and my boyfriend!!!!!

called a week ago about some TV service, i pressed 1 to "hear more". asked the guy why they call my cell phone about TV's. he said "we thought youd be interested." i asked to be taken off the call list. they just called, not 10 mins ago. i pressed 1 again. the moment i asked why i wasnt taken off the call list, i was hung up on. i want to bite "jake" in the face. or do something VERY rude to his mother.

Got this same number that several ppl are complaining about. This is the most ridiculous stuff that we have to deal with. I grow tired of technology already and it's just in the starting blocks. Mark this as my complaint!

Got a call on my business cell phone.  Caller ID said Ontario but was a 1-416 number calling, not an Canada number.  Didn't answer and they did not leave a voicemail. 12/29/08
