Got a call at my office direct line.  I answered with the standard, "Good morning this is ____". The man calling said he was calling from Matting investments or something like that. I asked how I could help him as our company is a clothing wholesaler and this is not at all the standard calls I get.  Usually anyone with my direct office line is a retailer.  He just said, "Transfer me to Matt." I asked, "Which Matt?" as I know we don't actually have ANY Matts that work here. He promptly hung up.
So Weird.

Claims he is with WTG Oil and Gas. He asked for the owner. When I said she was not in, he asked for her cell number, claims he left his blackberry at home with her number. I explained I would not be able to release her cell. He will call back. Seem like sales call.

Investment crap.  Told him to fax info, and he said fax is so old, told him sorry can't do business then.  Just another junk call and they think we can't pick them out.  I would never give them any other info.

This person calls looking for the president of the company and when asked what the nature of the call is about, he tells me it's a research their company is doing for our customer if they still wanted to continue doing business with us or not. he again asked for the name of the president since he did not have the correct information. I asked him which product it was and told him the customer deals with the sales manager and not the president and he tells me not to "that certain level" and a had the nerve to tell me that the call is taking longer than expected. I just said ok and hung up.
