My best guess is that they have the wrong person, or if it is something like a small phone bill they may have overlooked it. You did right by not disclosing information or confirming the debt.

Your relative likely used you as a reference when they opened whichever account a few years ago.

Your junk debt papers mean even less. I guess everyone is about even.

You know your self esteem will decline if you keep giving yourself insulting user names.

LOL!   Unfortunately you can't block a registered bill collector, which they are.

I keep getting calls from Bond Street Collections of Toronto. They tell me I have a court order against me for an outstanding debt. When I tell them I don't have any debt they confirm my name and number and re-confirm the same, I then ask them to send me the details by Canada post. At this point they ask for my home address and email id. Imagine they say they have a court order and they don have any personal details. When I tell them that to never call me again and I will report them fro fraud they start taunting me by saying hey you don't like to pay your bills is it.                                                                                                                                                                        

I want to know can I report this company to the police?

I just recevied a call from these people for my husband. I asked if there was a message he said does your husband go by a different name I would not give him any info he then said to have my husband call them back. He then said it was regarding an account he had with them so he gave me the number his name and ext....we just purchased a new vehicle we both have excellent credit I am sure scoitabank would have told us if something came up on the credit check.

no idea who it was, asked for me by name and wouldn't identify themselves when asked the first time, I insisted and she identified herself as "Debbie from Bond Street" then threatened to continue calling. LOL

This number is from Bond Street Collections. They called me recently. They had only my name. They claimed they had a "judgement" against me for $50000 and gave a case file number. I thought it was was fraud call and told them so and asked them to disconnect. But the person calling was very aggressive and persisted. I told them to email / post me their details. The person immediately asked me for my email id and home address which confirmed they are frauds. I am surprised they have a website and Etobicoke address. Obviously what they are doing is illegal. Can we report them to police. Don't want to get into the hassle as they did not call me back. But if I do I would be interested to know to whom we can report them.

Got a letter for a phone bill from Bell Canada of ON from these people.  Never lived in ON in my life.  They have my SIN and my MB number.  Keep asking them for proof of contract from Bell.  Warning, I have been fighting with them for eight years now, still no luck.  They are legit, but I think they hire very slow people.

They called asking me how to get in touch with a family member whom I haven't seen in 7 years?  Don't know where the call was originating from, nor why they would call ME of all people to inquire as to how to get in touch with this family member.

This number is calling my husband's cell phone every day sometimes 2 times in a day and nobody is ever there, only once he had some prerecorded voice come on.   I just phoned this number and an operator type voice comes on and says that this is not a long distance call and I do not need 1 in front of the number.   Yeah right, area code 416 is long distance from my area.   It's getting so irritating for him since he only uses the cell for family and emergency calls.   Who do you complain to?

Don't give them info - ask for full disclosure of their notes. Call the company they are reporting you owe money too. They will tell you who they transfer the file too if at all.

This phone # 416 232 1575 calls every second day, they won't leave a message they just hang up.  Very anoying!!

Received a call from this number. Answered and they hung up.

This is what i heard them say on the answering machine, it was an automated answer:

"a Sales call, it's an important bussiness matter that we want to speak with you about, please press any key on your key pad to speak with us now."

You cannot get CREDIT of any variety without proof of age and ID, it's against the law in Canada to obtain credit without such proof - and it's illegal to issue it.  The cards you are talking about are most likely in store cards, rewards cards, etc.  Like the Body Shop Love your Body card, or the La Senza Prestige, etc...you don't need ID for these because they aren't giving you credit of any kind.

The BBB gave them a "D" rating...just in case you might actually believe they're serious.

given the fact that I got a $240,000 mortgage from TD with NO JOB...it stands to reason that both myself and my financial institution are fully aware of my credit history...do you really think TD Canada Trust would give me a mortgage of that size with delinquencies on my credit report???

Bond Street Collections (dot ca) is a scam.

Just got out of bankrupcy about 3 months ago! Don't have or want anything on anykind of credit right now! Bills are caught up! What can i possibly owe you!

I just received a call, answered phone and was put on hold and then to an answering machine answering  telling me they couldn't take my call and to leave a message.
My dad has had the same call.  I had one from them earlier regarding just energy but had already paid it.  Told them this but i just received another call.
grrr.  
does anyone know if it affects your credit rating though?

actually it is possible, while a visa or mastercard provided by a bank requires a person to be of age or be cosigned by a guardian, many retailers provide  credit cards , and all they require to get one is a name and add, without any kind of DOB or Sin required

Wow, that is unreal. I would take that information and contact the police. At that point they are harassing a minor!!! I would also tell them that legal action will follow as well as the authorities have been contacted. Let them react to that. Also, it is illegal for them to do such a thing. Many people don't know the ins and outs of their system. I have a friend who used to work for a collection agency and would provide all that info to me.

I received a call from them about a debt that I do not owe!! I have never even signed up for a credit card! How do you block their number?

They just called me looking for my father, whom I haven't seen in over 5 years. Not sure if it was a scam or not, 'cause my dad's a pretty sketchy guy.

I've received this call many times. Called this number to find out. The lady wanted me a full name to pull my file. I told them you called this number and you don't know my name.

That's ridiculous!!!!
