They have your information because you provided it to the lender whom they are calling on behalf of. You also provided same lender with authorization at that time to report to and view your credit bureau, as well as hire third parties to to contact you on their behalf. ie: the collection agency.

So why not call them back and tell them that? No reason to be afraid. While you're at it sendthem a letter via registered mail requesting written correspondence only. Then they will stop calling you.

416-238-8957 called me and I didn't answer it. They called back not even 5 minutes later. Wish they would stop calling me. So if this numbers calls you. Don't answer it!

This lady from this number keep on calling. Sometimes she calls very early in the mornng. People in this house work graveyard. And they need a sleep. I answered it once and its a collection agency. I told her the person she's looking for DOESN'T LIVE HERE. ITS A COLLECTION AGENCY.

They are finding a particular person each time, but the way they ask personal information is not correct, If you ask them to provide you their phone number then they don't behave professionally, the way a collection agency should behave.

If you try to argure with them, then they pass racial comments on you.

Some lady named Miss Matherson called looking for someone with similar last name - refused to identify herself and when questioned more, she hung up.  Extremely ignorant!  Don't these people know that no-one gives out information over the phone anymore for reasons of identity theft and restrictions under the Privacy Act!!!!

Some woman called this morning very early and asked for some random person with the same last name as this household.
I told her that no one is here by that name . Then she sternly asks if this is "*** **** which is my phone
number and I told her yes but no one is here by that name. I then ask her who is calling and she said
that her name is "Broadwin" and then mumbles "I must have the wrong number" and hangs up abruptly.
There was no mention about a bank or collection agency.. Who is this rude lady and what does she
want????  She seems to have an accent, I am guessing British. On my caller ID it says that her number is 416 238 8957

They are rude, just answer the phone or they will keep calling back. Then say they have the wrong number. Not like that will help, they will call back again but many months later. I try blocking there number but does not work. I am sure is only a display phone number but not the calling number.

This douche literally called me 3 times within 3 minutes today. First time he calls, I'm busy so naturally I don't answer the phone. As soon as my machine picks up he hangs up and calls right back without missing a beat. I answered with a very annoyed "Hello" and immediately he starts asking for someone who deosn't even live here. I gave him another annoyed "NO" and hung up, and he called right back within seconds.

Just finished a 12 hour shift at 6 a.m. on Saturday and received a call from this number at roughly 6:45.  The man on the other line asked for Wilbur as they have plenty of times in the past and I told him like I have told all of the rest of those idiots that there is no one living at this address by that name.  I went as far, in the past, to see where they got the number from and  they stated that they got it from searching the address.  Anyways, I asked the guy if it realized what time it was and before I could really lay into him the f***** hung up on me!

I dont have the cash right now. If I did, the bill would be paid! No one wants to owe people money!!

So if someone isn't calling back, it's most likely that they don't have the cash or don't know who leaves them these unprofessional voicemails with no information on what the purpose of their call is.

OMG! this # just called asking for me, they knew my first name and i guess rudely said "I JUST HEARD HER" when i told my sister to take a message since i didnt recognize the #. i called back only to hear the call cannot be completed. even checked online REVERSE PHONE LOOKUP and nothing...so I googled 416-238-8957 and found this. wow! ewxact same situation huh? so what can i do about it? call the head office and complain? should i call the cops? i mean, does anyone know HOW they got or get our personal INFO and stuff???? this is scary!! pls help!! and thank goodness for this site:)

she was very rude if you find out any more info on this company can you please tell me cause i am going after them with a lawyer. i worked in collections you can not call someone more then three times a day and you can not yell at a person and call them down it is against the law that is verbal abuse.

and they are very rude. calling people down calling you childish and when you tell them not to call you will call the cops they keep calling you called me 23 times in 15 min and won't give there name to you or there supervisor
