Got a call fr this # & another # (same 6 digit prefix of 416-244-???? -- just last 4 digits can change) in 2 days' time.  They are desperate for clothing donations as they seem to call my home every 3-4 months with their seemingly unending extensions to avoid call-blocking, poss. to take advantage of seasonal changes when households may get rid of old/unwanted clothes.  Clothing donation is a very lucrative business, as charities may not give these away to the disenfranchised, but SELL to other agencies, private enterprises, 3rd world (not as donation to the poor) consumers--> a Macleans, Newsweek or TIME (can't recall) magazine or major Canadian newspaper had done a piece on this--literally a multi-million dollar (or a-billion by now) venture!  Below are thus far, all the #'s OFCP has used to telemarket households (they may/may not 'recycle' these #s):

Hi i work for these people its not a scam if your getting the right call, there another fake "ontario fedaration for cerebral palasy" ALWAYS ask for the registration number, where i work the actual ofcp we give it if we ask, that other company doesnt cause its a scam, also our onlyyyyyy number is 4162440899, dont be fooled and if they dont tell you to mark "CP" on it its a scam, or if the trucks dont have the label OFCP, or dont leave a a thank you card, i believ our thank you cards are blue, nut yeah watch out for fake charities i dont know how people can live with themselves doing such a thing our adress is 1630 lawrence ave west if your skeptical,

Called my house at 8:35 at night the other day. Thanks for waking my kid up! I believe I told them last year around this time to remove me from their list. Apparently it takes anywhere between 14 to 365+ days to take affect.

Yeah. They gave me 2 different numbers

They called my home. They put different numbers I the phone calls. One ended with 4162449577,
And 4162444274. I don't bother calling back.

Two days ago i got a call from someone that said seh was calling from OFCP Toronto requesting used clothes i told her that I don't have any and today that I was collecting unused clothes I remembered the called and when I went to check what was the numbrer that called me and when I re-dialed 416-244-8221 I only got one ring and after the line went dead I am wondering now if that was a real number or it was just a fake one. Any way I'll try to get in touch to the real OFCP donations http://www.ofcp.ca and ask the if they want the clothes or not. Thanks for the tips in this page and you can just get wondering how smart are those people who use  an entite to steal.

"OFCP TORONTO" just called our house and the phone number listed was "416-244-2057".
I didn't answer.  We never waste our time answering calls from phone numbers we do not know.
Luckily they do not call us very often, I think about once every few months.  We do however get many call from other companies that leave loud annoying recorded messages on our answering machine.

I have gotten MANY phone calls from "OFCP" over the past couple of weeks.
The number on the caller ID is  416-244-2057.
There is never any message left, and when I have tried calling back I only get a ringtone...no answer!
I'm getting really fed up, but there doesn't seem to be a way to get it to stop!

Got called by them today. Didn't answer. In the 21st Century with Facebook, Twitter and numerous other non- privacy invasive ways to raise attention and money for a cause, it seems odd and out of tune/date for them to be doing phone solicitation. Probably long past time for a change of leadership at the top of their organization and time for a complete change of strategy. They called my home this morning as well.  I missed the call and they left no message.  Call display says Ofcp Toronto but the phone number is 416-244-0472.

I called them back, and received and answer on the first ring. The lady I spoke with was very nice and I wasn't even asked to donate anything, she just let me know who had been calling. It was that simple.

I got the call too.  Giving to a charity is not an issue.  But once you do, they keep calling every few months.  Better to drop off old clothes in those bins.  Put money in collection boxes.  But don't give your contact number.

I am so tired of seeing OFCP on my phone - constant calls since Dec. I have blocked them on my phone but they still keep coming. Thank Goodness for call display ............

I really don't understand the problem. They have different extensions, but they all show caller ID so they aren't hiding anything. Just pick up the phone, ask them for their charity number, ask them to stop calling, ask them for about their organization, etc.

They don't want money, just old clothes. They have never asked me for money, just old clothes. No crime there. i don't know if you can get a charity receipt for in-kind donations like that. But just ask.

And for a charity that doesn't ask for money may not have the funds to buy a fancy truck with a logo. They may be doing everything as volunteer.
But ask them how they operate.

If you ask them to stop calling - they will. If
they don't, you can report them. But give them the chance by asking first.

I don't believe you have to be so suspicious.

repeated calls at night time

I received calls from "OFCP Toronto" from several numbers. They ask for donations and keep changing numbers when you don't answer. No message left. No way to get rid of them. In November 2011 call came from 416-244-5665.

These people have called me three times in three days and no answer when I call them back, this does not seem legit....probably going to a second hand store.

There have been two recent calls: 416 244 5998 and 416 244 7602. Says OFCP on caller ID. No message left. I get no answer when I call back.

3 months ago, I was doing Winter Cleaning and donated 11 bags of mostly small kids clothing to their cause.  Working from home, I saw the unnamed white mid-size truck without a rear door parking backwards in my driveway .  Inside seemed rusted and fairly old vehicle.  The guy early 50s' came out and threw all the bags (like garbage) hard bouncing off the ceiling into the rear without worrying about possible damage to the items inside.  

Not sure if this was a charity?  I guess a nice touch would have leaving a generic charity "thank you" card to donate again.  

Never heard from them until today after they called 3 times, never left a message until I picked up asking for a donation.  They don't even have a record of the prior donation.  

I don't trust them and not really sure if this is a real charity?  They will never again receive a donation from us.
