I get this call several times a week.  If you say you are on the DNC list they apologize and hang up.  NOTE: this will ALWAYS be someone with an indian accent, but an english (This does not make the problem go away however.  They just call back.  Today I decided to change things up and set up an appointment hoping to get a licence plate # or something to track them down.  I go through the whole process, and the last thing the guy does is acknowledge I am on the DNC registry (without prompting by me) and says he needs me to acknowledge that I am accepting this service despite being on the list.  I said no I am not, then he mumbled something about "this is what I thought, when I saw your number I thought you were a DNC #" so I said why did you call me then?  He says we are not a telemarketer, we are selling a service.  I said no you are making cold calls to people who specifically don't want them.  On and on it goes  He makes an excuse about the private blocked number etc etc. then hangs up.  Basically they go through the whole thing, but cover themselves at the end recording you saying you want the service, and do not mind the call.

Hey I have the best solution as I keep getting the calls.
1. find out the address of your local police station
2. when they call go through the process as if you are buying the package
3. refuse to give any personal information other than to book an appointment, give them a fake name and the address to the police department.

That way you waste their time and cost them some time and money!!!!!!! Have a little fun with them for a change!

Waste their time and cost them money.  Go through with the call and tell them you will get your ducts cleaned. Tell them you moved half a year ago and give them a fake address (your local police stations or fire departments).  Tell them that they called your office number and you are not happy with that and ask them to change your number to a fake one.  If everyone does this you will waste their time, cost them money and embarrass the telemarketing firm, because whoever got the call will be lambasted by the guys who show up at the fake address.

We've received calls from these guys numerous times but not as often as many of the posters here.

Like, every one of these types of calls I just keep them on the line as long as possible and waste their time. I put the phone on speaker and do some work. When they finally pause I say something encouraging like "I've been hoping someone would call to clean my ducts" and "wow, great deal'  but mix in a lot of non-sensical grunts, muttering and comments like "do you tan or burn?".

Eventually they put on someone who speaks very clearer English to book an appointment. I have not booked one yet but I think I will take the advice of others and send them to random addresses.

If you give these guys your credit card info you're an idiot. It's at worst a scam and at best enabling them to continue being pests to the Canadian masses.

These idiots called me from this number but left no message and when I called this number back the message said "this number is not in service"!  Yea right, they can call me but I cannot call them back or track where these people are calling from??  So frustrating and I wish I could push a number and it would send off an "electrical shock" right into their ear!  Now that would teach them to stop playing around and don't you wish these people had better things to do than to call and annoy the heck out of people!  STOP BY NOT ANSWERING UNKNOWN NUMBERS AND SEE HOW FAR THEY GET!!

These people just called. They were the Air Duct Company. They had just called me only a few minutes ago with the same number. They seem to be linked with the number 416-399-8998. Real Pain.

Got a call from this number and no one answered.  Tried to call back and the number is not in service. How can it be not in service when they just called me?  SCAM''  If you can't call them back they must not be legal

They  keep calling  from  time to time  but  last time nobody talk to me at all

Most people are too polite with these bottom feeder scumbags. They won't respect that you are on a do not call list. Keep them on the phone and ask lots of dumb questions and to repeat themselves or speak louder or slower. Wasting their time is no guarantee that will stop phoning you .  Don't try to reason with them because they will keep calling you over and over and over again.  When all else fails, try swearing at them in Hindi and see what happens.

They keep calling me for duct cleaning so I keep setting up appointments and giving them a fake address. I wonder how long it will take for them to figure it out. LOL.

Are you for real or just one of those people having a slow day with time on your hands to write such nonsense?  If they did a fantastic job, how come they have a fake call back number? No legitimate business uses such tactics.

I get calls from these scumbags almost on a daily basis. I previously asked them to remove my name from their list and they said it was impossible. Today I played along and let him make an appointment for a fake address (the garbage dump). If there is a real service behind this, I was hoping to get the vehicle license and report them to the police if the actually show up.  He asked me if I would be paying by cash or credit card. When I said cash, he seemed disappointed... it is a scam to get credit card numbers on the phone.  He then went on to state that he knew that I am on a do not call list and given this fact, he need my specific permission to dispatch his "technician". When I said no, he said I was wasting HIS time and hung up.  The call back number he gave 416 252 4366 is not in service.  I watched a YouTube video about these call centers in India. Apparently these people make 300-400 calls per day and they only need to make 1 sale to make money at their wage rate. The CRTC, Bell and all the phone companies are lame ducks and won't do anything to stop these scams.

I get about 4 of these calls a week, very often I'm sure they are the same company, but a different person.  I keep telling these guys I'm an all electric house and don't have ducts but they keep calling even though they assure me they will take me off their list.    One of these times I'll let them come and present them with the 'yellow rubber duck' I have sitting in my birdbath and tell them it's the only 'duck' I have and they can clean that!!!!  How many of these duct cleaning companies are there out there????

I tell them it's against the law to keep ducks in town and when my daughter answers she tells them we clean our ducks in the pond.

They call all the time. I have asked them to take me off the list but to no avail. I have also asked them what the company name is and also was hung up on. Just got a call 5 min ago and they didn't even answer. This needs to be stopped...so annoying! Any ideas?

I am sick of this guy. I got a call at 8:30 pm yesterday. Pick up the phone. No answer then hang up. I tried to call back, but got only the message from the answering machine : " We're sorry. The number you have reach is not in service.Please check the number or try your call again .This is the recording .  What the hell is this ?

Just got a call from this number wanting to clean the ducts in our house.  I am also on the do not call list. When I asked for his company's phone number he asked "why?" and hung up on me. (One way to end the conversation!)

This number is driving me crazy too!!!  I wish people would use the "NO CALL LIST" and leave us all alone!!!!  It really makes me question the benefits of maybe getting an unlisted number....argggg!!!

Same, it is getting really annoying actually.  This same guy calls our house 10-15 times per week, he will not answer any questions.  I tried to book an appointment with him just to see who it actually was and to send them on their way when they arrived. He would not do this without a credit card first.

Looked at the facebook page someone posted and called the number 1-416-800-0369 if anyone is interested. There was no answer but they called back 5 minutes later from 1-905-695-5537 and I gave them a good peice of my mind. The guy said they would stop calling but I doubt it they have been doing this for months and everytime I ask for a manger or tell them to stop calling they just hang up and call back later.

Mine came today (March 29/12) and it was a long distance ring, even though 416 252 4366 is NOT LD from where I am.  Its a spoofed number out of their KSU/PBX coming from a call center most likely offshore.

Pick up receiver, let sit on desk.  They pay minimum 6 seconds, maybe more, so it costs them.

KEEP CALLING!!! Stupid "marketing company"!! Dont pick upp!!
