I also recieved some phone calls today and yesturday with this number and they keep calling back after i said do not call. Its starting to fukin piss me off. I will report this to the cops if it continues. this is harassment.

How can a number that is not in service be calling? So tired of these telemarketer scams! Q

This number has been added to my rejects list.  I have never answered because of the postings here.
They call at all hours.  The first call was on Dec 12 @ 5:50pm and this morning, Jan 10 @ 9:45am.

I did call back with my number blocked and as one poster experienced, I received an auto message that this number is not in service.

This number has called my cell everyday for the past week...have not answered and no messages have been left.  Getting very tied of the calls

I get a lot of hang up calls from this numbers or just call from this number with no message on my cell.

Yesterday I picked up and found out the name Publishers Sweepstakes Center, they were selling magazines. I said not interested and they said they will be sending me a 100$ Esso card in the mail for my time and his colleague will call me with details. His collegue called the next day to sell me something else.....I hung up.

pick up the phone, some girl on suppose to be from publishers clearing house telling me i won a chance to be in the final draw. Obviously i got pissed told her what goodamn right did she have to ask my birthdate over the phone, she got mad i called her a dumb bi*** the end. oh and i checked publishers does NOT call people.

I received two calls from this phone number.  One on January 4 and the other January 7.  I did not answer and when I called the number back it said it was not valid.  If it is Publisher's sweepstakes, I don't know how they got my number as I have never entered any of their contests.

Wasting my money using bandwidth on my cell phone - nobody there when answered.  Have now listed the number as SPAMMER and will not pay any attention to any calls from it.

Received a call this morning from 416-281-7582. Unknown caller! Normally I do not answer these calls but I picked it up and no one answered.

Here are my two favorite counter-scams...
1- Look at your credit card and count the number of digits on the front and the CSV code on the back.   Make up a number and when they call, give them that info.   (The chances of you choosing a valid account from made up numbers and code are almost impossible.)
2- My favorite... tell them that your card is in your purse/wallet which is upstairs in the bedroom.   Tell them to wait and you'll be happy to get it so you can claim your prize.   Put the phone down and let them wait.   Wasting a scammer/telemarketer's time is the worse thing you can do.   It's  a safe bet that they won't call again.

I just got the same call, lady asked me for my credit card number and three digit on the back, I told her I don't give my credit over the phone. She said she needs to make sure my card is active.  I told to send my a bill in the mail for the magazines. She said she will call me back next Monday.

Got a call from this number - at 10:30am. The caller addressed me by my first name and said she was calling from Publishers Sweepstakes. When I asked her why she was calling me she hung up.
I have limited minutes on my cellphone and object to unwanted callers using those up. Also, I would like to know who has prejudiced my confidentiality rights and how this caller got hold of my personal details.
This is illegal in Canada!

just got a call from that number on my cell phone, they asked for my husband who never gives out my cell number. I told them he wasn't home so she said she would call later, but would not tell me why she was calling. Not going to answer it next time they call.

I just got a call from them as well, they we're all polite and told me how I won a bunch of prize, a diamond watch vegas trip and will be enter to win a grand price. Got forward to a manger and when I told him I want giving my credit card, they'd just hung up. Scam!!

I just received a call saying they were from Publishers as well.  She asked for my birth year.  When asked why she stated to ensure I was 18.  I said I could give her any date and she wouldn't know the difference.  She politely let me go. :)

Next time I will ask her for HER credit card number that works really fast for those MicroSoft phone scams.

Just got a call from the same number, they did not leave a message.

It just happened to me a few minutes ago (2:14PM, Wednesday December 19, 2012) Same lady with a very thick Asian accent by the names of Amber Called me and said she was looking for me, said my first name and said I had won $25k from Publishers Sweepstakes, and congraturated me - I replied thanks, she asked me my age and I told her the year I was born. I then asked her where I could get more details of whats she was talking about since her accent was complicated - She told me, I will call you some other time or later--------------------------------------------SCAM!! So i tried to call back and the # is not in service!
WTF!

I answered the call because it was local........she told me she was calling from PUBLISHERS SWEEPSTAKES and that i had won $25k.  Then she went to ask about my credit cards.  I told her I didnt have any credit cards, then she said that i would be re-entered into next year's draw.......SCAM!!!!!!!!!

Called for my bf on my house phone registered to me.  I asked to take a message and where she was calling from hard to understand as she had a thick Asian accent, said something about publishers sweepstakes or something along that line.

Cause they put you on a *automated dialer*  it dials you're number but sometimes they are so busy they can't get to you're phone.  collection people use this practice too.  The best thing to do is have caller ID and if you don't recognize the number don't answe it.

Stop calling my phone I don't buy and don't deal with telemarketers I hope you people go out of business.
