This number shows up fairly frequently on my caller ID.  Because the calles generally come during dinnertime, I don't answer, and there is never a message.

I got a call from the same number. When I answer I get the Fax noise. When I call back it rings once then hangs up.

This has happened to me from other numbers in the past with the same result.

I get calls from this number 416 284 9244 all the times then I found out it is a fax number

what you need to do is call this number 416 900 2937 and press 7 then enter your number to remove it from thier calling list.

Called at 8:47 a.m. today ... no message left.
Periodically get this number, I don't answer .... grateful to the other posts ... appears I'm not missing anything.

This broadcasting have programmed my PHONE number and I keep getting calls every day... I tried sending a fax to request to be removed but it is always busy...

Does anyone know if we can place a complain to Bell or Rogers??

This number shows up all the time...when you try and call back, it is always busy. seems like a fraud caller.do not give ANY information at all.

I have tried calling to have my fax/phone number removed and they NEVER do it. I have sent e-mails galore, so finally I am now filing a complaint with the CRTC.

This number calls my house everday at noon and 4pm, hangs up, and when we try to call the number back, it disconnects.
This has been happening for several months now, since the summer.

this number just called me today Sept 9th 2008 at 8:55PM and no response. I did call back to find out but it disconnect rightaway.This dummy thing is annoying and should be stoped.

I hate these fax broadcasting service as they use up my fax paper and ink. It's the worst of the telemarketing practise. I don't have a business and my fax machine is for home use. I had called to remove my number and still getting junk fax. So I end up calling their customers or sending faxes to their customers fax number telling them not to do that to my fax machine and it seems to work. Screwing their customers is the only way to get rid of these junk fax.

This number called both my cell phones (work and home) and did not leave messages.  When I tried calling back, I got cut off or a busy signal.

me and my dad's cell phones got a call from this number, at the exact same time. neither of us answered and no message was left.

I just received a call from that number. It was a junk fax from Ontario-Wide Financial Corp pitching $$Quick Money$$ - Loans for any purpose. Phone #: 416-925-3974.

They have an automated number to remove yourself from their broadcast fax list:

They fax broadcast EVERYDAY and refuse to remove fax numbers. I have started faxing back multiple pages of their own crap and it must be annoying them to no end!

Called on March 16 at 5:04 PM, left message claiming to be from the CIBC.  Calling it back resutls in an immediate hangup from the far end

this number called me one june 6 and left a message with only beeping on the message.  I called back and it hung up after the first ring.  It has called b4 and done the same thing.  This is very annoying and is beginning to PISS ME OFF!!!

This number called two of my numbers within a few hours. My cell phone and my fax, no fax came through.

We have received three calls today in the last few hours.  When we answer the call, it sounds like some is trying to send a fax.  When I call the number back, it rings once and disconnects!  How can I get rid of these people!  We had a problem with one last year.  It would call us at 5am!  I am so angry!

Got a call on Sunday afternoon at my home in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada -- no message.

I got a call from this 416-284-2944 at my house today (Sunday) at around 5:14 p.m.  I am a Rogers home phone customer.
