I received many calls from this number. This is the third time this year. Never leaves a voice  mail.

called for first time today.I don't answer these calls,no name or message given.Since no name on caller ID and did not respect the no call list it has to be a scam.

Seeing that some people have said that this is from AmEX, and I don't even have an AMEX card. Why are they calling me? Left no message. Not answering calls from Canada

Got a call today from this # but did not leave a message.

Optima Communications on behalf of ATB Financial selling credit card insurance.

I have received numerous calls from this number. I don't answer it and they never leave a message.

Called and said it was regarding Employee Legislation Changes. When I told them the person they were asking for was not in they hung up.

Number comes up as 416-313-4982 and when you call back it's Optima Communication.

No company name but the guy wanted to talk to whoever was in charge of BULK Fuel purchasing ?

Today they were calling from "First Reference" and wanted to talk to the owner about human resources.

Asked for incorrect first name, correct family name, a woman, said she must have wrong number.  All sounded off somehow. Called back it was Optima Communications.

This # calls daily. Does anyone know how to stop it from calling?

Received a call in the evening from a lady who talked like she was holding her nose and asked for my husband by his given name.   I asked who she was and she replied that she was calling on behalf of Scotiabank.  I know for a fact that scotiabank does not call customers at home, so I told her I do not know who you are, and why you are calling, but we do not bank with Scotiabank.   She asked that if he had a line of credit account with scotiabank and I replied no.   She asked again that he does not have an account with scotiabank and again I replied no.   After a pause she said okay and hung up.

In my case I have a Canadian Tire credit card and the call was to try and sell me more life insurance that would then be billed monthly to my card.

Called 416 581-1236 and pressed 0 for operator.  She apologized for any inconvenience and removed me from the list!

Saw a program on Fifth Estate about Optima.  They send your information to a data centre and is is then given to anyone that wants the info.

Bottom Line -  Don't sign up for Optima cards etc. Your unwanted phone call will be much less.

I got a call from this number saying that he was from my current mobile provider, thanking me for being a customer.  He then said that he could 'update' my service to Canada-wide calling for $40.00 per month.  He had my name backwards.  In other words, he had my surname confused with my first name, which is difficult to do since it is a very common first name, and you seldom hear it as a surname.   What really made me suspicious was the fact that he was going to upgrade my service to one that I already have.  I said, "If you knew about my account, you'd know that I already have this service, so I think this is a scam "goodbye!", and hung up.  I reported it to my cell-phone provider.

Just happened to me...if your going to call at least say something don't just hang up!!

I got the same number 4163134982 they said It call from american express in U.S., and she wanted let me know my benifits about the american express. I  call back but it doesn't connect it , I don't know who call me and call for what ?

I answered the call once, a lady asked for my husband(she got his name!). After I said 'wait a minute', she hung out.
Now the number calls everyday!! :(

Just called 416 581-1236 and press 0 for operator/receptionist. She agreed to put me on the no contact list. She was courteous as well.

More like Mussolini Fascist. When you say you are not interested. That means no, it doesn't mean call me back and harass me. Just because some banks have mistakenly hired this company doesn't mean your bank has hired them.  They are obviously fraudsters using a loophole to get around the Do Not Call Registry. Report them

Me  & couple friend receiving call from this phone  number  almost daily  but unfortunately when we answer the call no sound ...... silent................. & disconnected . I wish to know this mentally sick person  & stop this abuse.

This is Optima Communications. They are calling on behalf of Costco/AMEX registrations.

Call Costco, as I will be and warn them to steer clear of these pieces of s*** calling you up to rip you off.

First they congratulate you for WINNING a Costco Membership and AMEX cards???
Then when you tell them that you already have those cards, they say "Yeah, thats why we're calling".

WE NEED TO GET RID OF THESE MONGERING COMM COMPANIES IN CANADA!
It's nothing but a trap.
