I first received calls from "unknown" caller on my cell phone, then immediately after I received a few calls from 4163505218 on my cell phone, no one on the other end when I answered. I put this number on phone's Auto Reject List, problem solved for this number.

This number doesn't seem to exist and has been harrassing me for months. If someone finds out what company it is I would love to know.

I get calls from this number all the time on my cell phone, and I have been on the Do not Call List! I called the company at the number above (416) 493-6111and I spoke with Mariam who said that she will "try" to have it removed in 30 days, she also wanted my name to have my number removed - I would not give her my name it should be irrelevant if my number is being removed on her end.
I then called the CRTC to file a complaint since I am on the do not call list - 1-866-580-3625.
They filed the complaint and also reccomended that I call Phone Busters because these people are calling from a number that "isn't in service" - I am doing that now...........

This number is calling me all the time, like 5 times a day! So annoying!
Natkat 2011-06-06 20:48:44 Unknown
Please call the number below (found by Google searches of this annoying number), press option 4 to reach the call centre supervisor, and give them your phone #. Call every time they call you; I called this morning to have my number removed and received another call this afternoon. If enough people complain, maybe they will get the hint. Grrrrrr!!!

The number "416-350-5218" may be a fake mask used by "Telespoof.com"

I got a number from this number 416-350-5218 this afternoon, I picked up, nobody answered. From now on, I will have to write down a list of all the annoying numbers that I call me. Hope somebody can create a device with software that can block the numbers that we don't want.

Getting calls from this number at a business, driving us crazy.

O.O I recieved a call from this number, but the weirdest thing is that it was my boyfriend from Phillipines, which is across the world, and he actually called from his mobile phone, which usually shows properly.. Does that make any sence?

Didn't pick up I am getting phone calls all day long from 4 different phone numbers:416-350-5218, 416-252-0153, 416-000-3196, 206-607-2722. All of these numbers are listen on the internet as "spoofing" numbers. I have tried to call them back, but the numbers cannot receive the incoming calls. I was silly to pick up the first call where the prerecorded message said about lowering a credit card interest rate - and I responded by pressing an appropriate number. I guess that is how they learned that my phone line is active. Annoying... I wish soon death for the people responsible. DON'T PICK UP UNKNOWN NUMBERS!!!

Somewhere the telecommunications regulation has gone wrong and is no longer providing a regulated service.
This was the second time I?ve tried to get somewhere regarding numbers (out of service) that call my residence repeatedly as hang-ups.
I pay for call display, which displays these out-of-service numbers!
I call customer service at Bell, and I?m not asked what numbers are these, I?m told I can buy a call blocking package!
I?m told I can do nothing about these calls other than block them, and the system has issues where call masking is a common practice.
Is this a marketing ploy from Bell?

when I answer there is clearly someone on the line but nothing is said and they don't hang up

Has anybody ever thought of blocking te number on their phone system?? Or has anybody thought of calling their local phone provider and asking them to block the number?
If the number in fact does belong to Group Telecom (now Bell Canada) they operate as a seperate entity from Bell so Bell won't have any record of the number. You shoupd contact the Group Telecom people at 1-877-484-5101 and report the number.

Like all of us, I am receiving calls from this number.
Its a fax machine that is likely sending out automatked spam faxes to random numbers.
I tried a reverse look-up on the number with no results.
Its incredibly annoying! But rather than continuing to talk about it.. does anyone have any suggestions about what to do now?

Received a call from 416-350-5218 and other numbers with no one on the other end. I'm getting extremely annoyed with all of the calls. Something should be done to stop the unwanted telemarketing.
Pete 2008-01-31 01:21:57 Unknown
Calls and never leaves a message. I'm pretty sure this isn't the Globe and Mail calling about any billing, because I've never subscribed to the Globe & Mail.
Called the number back, and it's not in service. I'm getting a lot of other calls from 800 #'s lately as well, and have no idea who they are either.
Jenn 2007-12-30 21:57:06 Unknown
I just wanted you to know that they really are the Globe and mail actually Com-Tel Promotions I know because I work for them. if you call the bell verification line and ask them if that number left on your machine really is the Globe and Mail promotions office they will tell you that it is. the number they call you from is different from the number you would call back becasue we call all over Canada and need for people outside of Toronto to be able to call toll free. We send out invoices but sometimes people do not recive them so it's therefore up to us to call them. The reason why a person would hang up so fast when you want an invoice is not because they are nervous or anything its just that there are more people to call and it is easier to fill out an invoice file once the call is over, where as a Credit card file needs to aquire information from you. we are sorry that people don't believe us but we understand when you prefer to have invoices sent out.

This gets better... got called from 416 920 #### (deleted it, sorry) and left a message asking me to call the Globe&Mail at 800 565 4562 to confirm my details. I called and was asked to confirm that I wanted to renew my subscription and was given an amount of $260.00 that they would bill to my credit card. I questioned why they were calling, and was told by ROSE that they call to confirm because many people move and don't give updated information to the subscription office... hmmm... I smell something here.
DSmith 2007-12-20 22:28:25 Unknown
I answered this call and was told it was the circulation office at the Globe and Mail, calling to ask me to renew my subscription... red flag in my mind because I've been a G&M subscriber for 20 years and this is the first time they've called to ask me to renew.
But, I said yes to the renewal, and the girl then asked if I could give her my credit card information because they don't keep it on file.
I said "NO". She said she'd send me an invoice then, and quickly hung up.
