I got a call from this number 15 minutes ago - I was busy surfing the net so I didn't pick up. Good thing I didn't. Thanks to this, I put them on my reject list. I appreciate all the comments - very helpful!

received a call today from this same man mentioned in other emails.  Oddly I am having trouble with my computer and because agree to send problem reports on to Apple, Microsoft, etc. I thought this call was ligit.  Although the number says 416, I do believe he is calling from deepest, darkest Africa if not Pakistan and his speech is very stilted with a ton a backround noice. Anyway as I am at work and my laptop is at home, I told him thanks but no thanks.

Same problem receiving calls from known/unknown numbers,I discussed with the caller and she replied she got lead to contact me regarding long distance calling through our phone/service provider.Please check your phone/Mobile phone provider to stop selling our personal information to telemarketers.

Got a call and they reported from cra but it was a fraud call

Arrived in Canada this morning and got a call from 416 363 5905. Didn't answer and who knows what it was about!

Oh man this guy is so fun. He always forgets not to call me because I LOVE when he does. It's a little bit "bad" to do. But I just unload either racist or sexual obscenities towards him. I've found especially with India/Pakistan based peoples they take family VERY seriously. So I just talk about having gay sex with his brother. Anal with his mom etc etc. This guy BLOWS A GASKET. I mean threatening to call the police on ME!? I tell him to go ahead and get even more racial or sexually suggestive towards his family. DO NOT INSULT HIM. Go after his family and he instantly loses it. It is SO FUNNY. He will call back over and over.

He's a scammer based out of the golden horseshoe area of southern ontario. We've done multiple traces and they all lead back to same area from over 20 different #'s. It's amazing these scammers dont know how easy it is to screw with THEM. Dont get angry get even folks!. He seems to travel between Hamilton and Scarborough alot. Probably just family houses or friends places for areas. I have a friend who does something similar its always from a bluetooth just listen to the guy in walmart talkin on his bluetooth you'll overhear plenty of scammers like this everyday. They just use anonymizing proxies where you plug in whatever number your "from" so it doesnt show the true number. Still traceable though! ;). And when you DO hear them in public remember to point them out to everyone. Accidents happen right?

A rep claiming to be from "Windows" called. Knowing full well that it's a scam, i asked "What's in it in regards to?' and insisted on speaking to someone with my last name. I asked "is it in regards to viruses on my computer because i have a Mac". He said 'oh ok' then he lowered his tone of voice and said 'ma'am, you are f***ing beautiful'. I put the phone on speaker and said "Say that again, my HUSBAND didn't hear you' and he changed his tone back to normal and said 'yes ma'am, i said you are beautiful'. I replied 'you forgot the part where you said F***ing.' And he lowered his tone again and said "Yes, you are f***ing beautiful....."and went on but I interrupted. I told him that i am on the Do Not Call list, to never call or else i will have him arrested. He hung up.

I've had many calls from these fine folks at Microsoft or Windows support.  They are SO polite and courteous...always ask me how I am today.  Today I was very sick and throwing up; other days I engage them in a nice long chat or tell them I know this is a totally fake call or that I don't even have a computer or I would like a name and contact number so I could get back to him to discuss the matter in detail.

Yeah, right...but they do keep calling; asking them not to do so achieves nothing.

Last time one of these fools called me I told him I wouldn't run Windows if you paid me and that all my machines were either Fedora Core or Ubuntu Linux.  He said "wha....."   I said "thought so" and hung up.  No more calls.

This is one of the numbers that is used when people call through their gmail account
its generic. try it , call you phone and first it will show unknown then if you decline it keeps doing this and if you keep declining it eventuality shows the root number which is this. before this it will show this number most likely too 3058884598.

Just got a call from this number. Man with a thick East Indian accent says his name is Henry Thomas and he is with Computer Technical Support (?). I couldn't really make it out through his accent. He tells me that there's a virus on my computer and he's calling to help me fix it. I ask him to state what operating system I'm currently running. He says "probably Windows 7." I then ask him for my IP address and he tells me that he couldn't possible know that. I ask how he could possibly know that I have a virus then. No answer. I then ask him where his company is located...he says Houston Texas (!). I tell him that I know this a scam and, when he kept persisting, I hung up.
This is REALLY annoying. Since the number can't be linked to anyone, how can we stop/report this jerks?

Fortunately, my cell didn't ring, so this went right to voice mail.  No message was left.

What I've done for my outgoing message, is start it with the "This number is no longer in service, disconnected tone".  This way, anyone who calls me and it goes to my VM will hear that.  My friends and family understand that this is to fake out the marketeers so no problem there.

I'm hoping that when their autio dialers pick up the tone, it will erase my cell number from their systems.

for my home system, I'm using CallClerk (made in Canada).  When a call comes in, it first checks its own database of numbers I've marked as familiar.  Then, it checks my Outlook contacts to find a match.  If nothing found in either of those, it accesses a website like this one to see if the number has been reported.

If unknown, the program will send out the disconnected tone.

Before I got this program, I was getting many calls in a week.
After a year of use, I'm not getting any calls at all now on the home phone.  So CallClerk is working.

Had the same call.  Pushy.  Kept asking him questions.  Wanted me to turn on my computer.

This is SCAM ring! If you choose to answer your phone, DO NOT GIVE the caller you information. I have gotten several calls from this number as well as some other "off base" numbers.

I decided to answer one of the calls by screaming "WHAT?" The person (a male with a strong East Asian accent) became nervous and stated, "Did you just call me? I screamed at him again and told him I know what he and his associates are doing and that I know it is SCAM. I also informed him if he ever called me back I was  going to F*CK him up! He disconnected the phone call. LOL!

Just got phone call from this number last night around 11.30pm guy with accent name DANISON or something like that claimed that he is from company delivering winning packageof8.5million dollars and Mercedes Benz   but I have to pay 2.500 dollars I told him I wont pay , he lowered down the payment to 500   dollars vary kind What kind of scam this is.

I received call from this number on my CELL she said her name is NIDA speaks in Urdu promoting long distance calls...where do these people get CELL numbers from from ? is there a remedy for this ?

My mother just called on a Skype line and this number showed up. When she called from the same place yesterday it showed up 'Unknown'. Seems like Skype/VOIP just assigns a random number sometimes.

Just got a call on my cell phone from this number. I answered & heard a recording, "Congratulations! You have been selected..." and then I hung up.

its not him as a personal..its a whole breed/generation of them...they are referred to as HICKS.

The telephone companies should do more to protect there client,  I also got this number and called it back because the telephone company does nothing. I have a cell phone with Rogers and texts were being sent from my cell phone. I live in Toronto and the texts were being sent to a 331 area code where I don't no anyone Rogers could only tell me that it was in the Chicago area i tried to find out more information but no luck, I was stuck with $40 dollars on my phone bill on top of the over priced plan that Rogers gave me. I will never get a cell phone with Rogers again. I am paying 3 times the amount for 1/2 the services that 2 other companies provide. Think before you sign a contract and some homework.

I just got a call from these people today and they said that they wanted to help with my microsoft computers.I was like hell no i dont have no microsoft computers he called me at least 5 times the 5th time I told him to stop or ill call the police!!
