I received a check in the mail today for $2,974.00 from elitestaffing 278 McHenry Rd Wheeling, IL
60090.  I luckily asked alot of questions and I have to say the guy sounded pretty intelligent! He couldn't answer several questions so this tipped me off. I recently posted my resume online and he said when I applied online the companies sold my resume to them and thats how they found me. Well of course I told them I would research and get back to them. SO GLAD I researched and found it was a total SCAM!!! I've only read about things like this on the news!!  DONT FALL FOR IT! If you are tempted take the check to your local bank and have them check it out!! They wanted me to first wire money from Western Union and then after the completion of this task, they would give me the next step on how and what to shop for at Wal-Mart! Oh, and I was told I would get to keep what I bought at Wal-Mart with their money!! Watch Out and thank goodness for the internet:)

We received one of these letters and checks today in the mail as well. It was so suspicious so I immediately started to scan the web for SCAM information. I googled some of the information found in the letter (logo, phone number, check information) and SCAM ALERT popped up all over the web.

The logo that was on the letter attached to the check was as follows: elitestaffing, 278 McHenry Road Wheeling, IL60090

The check was drawn from Bank of America NT&SA Alanta, Dekalb Country

On the left hand corner of the check was WARNER B.P, a division of WB S Enterprises Inc. 4000 Warner Boulevard Burbank, California 91522

I got same check today its Sat. and can't check it out. My bank is open and said don't do it I was wondering what ever happened with yours since you did deposit it.????

I rec'd the same letter three days ago.....but I had put in an application for a mistery shopper about 6 months ago so I thought oh goodie a job....so I called the # and for the last two days they have told me their computers are down so today I started to do some checking and the address is off from the actual Manpower and the phone # is a cell phone in Toronto Canada.......
I'm turning it all over to the police.....

Rec'd the same letter...contacted Manpower in Milwaukee...they say these folks stole their logo, and are reaping big $ in a scam....seems they hook you in with their first "Mystery Shopper" at Wal-Mart...then want you to money-gram the remainder of the check amount back to them....then when the check you deposited bounces, you are on the hook, and they have the money you sent back to them!
It's a scam...don't fall for it!

Just received the same letter yesterday. Called and they told me to call back after the check is deposited. I actually then called back and told them the check has been deposited but it will take 7 days to clear. She told me to call back after the check has cleared and they will give me the next step.  I also called Bank Of America because that is the bank on the check, but they had no records of the account printed at the bottom of the check. not sure about this one???
