I totally Agree with you. I hate voicemail, i dont have voicemail. And I hate the fact that these people call you, but don't show caller ID info just the Telephone number. Who can you trust on the phone these days? No one. I've been ripped off before, And I've heard many people being ripped off because of these scammers that call all the time. When will they learn that Telemarketing is out of its days...

the national do not call list. Put yourself on it.

They just called my cell, I think what happened is a company sold our phone numbers just like they do emails as well. You can try to put yourself on the DONOTCALL list.

416-477-2756 called my cell phone twice today within an hour, and them my house line within 20 minutes of the second call. B*****ds need to be shot and pissed on.

They called the unlisted number that I have had for 4 months. There was an automated voice mail message about helping you with your debt.  I have no debt.  I assume they are dialing randomly or sequentially and one of those is illegal.  If they phone again, I am going to report them to the CRTC.

This number called a few times.  When I answered, nobody was there.  Upset.

Missed their call, so I tried to call them back. Luckily didn't have enough balance on my phone to place a call. I was curious to know who it was so I messaged them back and decided to Google the number. Good thing I didn't have to speak to them after finding all this information from others. Not even sure how they can get a hold of my number as I'm not from this country and this phone is merely for temporary use, during my stay in Canada.

I got a call on Jan 11 from these guys. In my corporate cell phone.

I don't bother to listen to pre-recorded messages. As soon as I hear the tone of the voice I hang up.

I can't block calls, so I had to create a fake contact, with a personalized ringer -one with volume zero, same as silent- to add the few autodialers that have guessed my number. Hope this helps

Just got the call too - this is the 3rd time... just some recording about debts, etc, etc....
Like the rest of you, I don't just give my number away, only to family and friends... Need a way to block these telemarketers..

This same consolidation auto message has several numbers they call from.  So far, received the same message on voicemail on cell phones and work from:

How do we stop these relentless criminals from calling?

STOP CALLING ME. Received a call today, voicemail was left. Where did they get my number?

I also have received calls on my cell phone,  all from one debt consolation fraudster.  And my cell phone number is unlisted.  (I.e. Private). They must be hacking our provider's database.  I don't know what to do.  CRTC has had several complaints and M etro Toronto Police will not help us.  ):

There is no use calling the Metro Toronto Police!  I had a VERY long discussion with their Central Dispatch today and was told we have to live with unwanted telemarketer calls because they are not considered criminal in nature.  I tried to tell Central Dispatch that I consider the frequency of calls harassment and they should search the web using the phone number to see the number of people being harassed.  But it did not matter to them as they consider my complaint as only pelrtaining to me and that it wasn't harassment. Perhaps if we 'all' contact the police they may take action!

Yup. What that does is confirm your number and confirms that you listened to the whole message.

Do you think that will make these crooks stop calling you? LOL. It means they identified you as a sucker and you just got added to more sucker lists, so get ready for even more junk phone calls.

Don't answer a number you don't recognize. If you answer, hang up as soon as you know it's a scam. Or have a whistle/airhorn handy in case you get one of the scammers live, then blast them.

Don't call the number back. Don't follow scammers' fake instructions to 'remove' your number from their list, you are dealing with crooks and liars.

If you wait till the end you can press #2 to remove your self from their calling list.

I got this number call this morning. A voice record is playing when I pick up the phone.

I have searched this golf courses info. there number must have changed from 416-477-2756 to 905-477-2756. It seems like alot of people have been having trouble with this number.

Just got the harassing call, tried to hit 9 to get removed (figuring maybe it'd put me through to an operator), but instead it dumps you to a voicemail of BS.

Check out that google map, apparently they're based out of a cemetery?  Clear case of fraud.

This company left automated message about debt management services for the third time in a few months on my work phone line! I never asked for or need such services. I work in a hospital and they have to actually get past the initial general reception system and also punch in my extension to get to me. I don't know how the automated dialer was able to get through. I have been getting this same monthly telemarketing message at home. I believe they got my number from an annoying timeshare riddance company "Great North Transfer" which is also a scam service. I don't know if it is any better to register with the DNCL service or whether you would be flagging yourself for more harrassment by putting yourself on the list.
