Yeah these people are b*****ds (trying not to sound too mean and watching my language). Calling at 7am through to 10pm, and now on weekends.

I did answer them once and found out I was in collections with a bank that I closed the account about 6 years ago. Not sure if this is a scam since the account was closed, but either the bank or these people are going to have to deal with a very angry man in a couple weeks.

...and they are the collection agents that people have mentioned.

i got several calls from this number several times a day usually i answered they hung up today a girl was on the other end i gave her a piece of my mind also she said she is calling from CBV its a collections company and i googled it and got there office info.  Anyone with some spare time ..be creative :)

These numbers have called my cell phone number several times a day and on several occassions asking for a person I don't know 406-482-7691, 888-339-0334, 877-673-3584. I just got a new cellphone

Three calls recently, no messages.  Call back round "the offices of CBV" Have been pestered by these folks before, for no reason .  Have blocked their number.

I received a call..heard it is a scam

CBV collections 416-482-7691 call, fished for info, now dont stop callin!!They disguise their numbers to PRIVATE, then change to 1-888, even to 416-482-7691...when told that their infor is sent to Commercial crimes, as well as Services Alberta, they dont seem to call anymore..Know your rights as a consumer in Canada....apparently, this company doesnt mind harrassment...but it will stop, DO NOT SUPPLY personal , private information..no matter if it is for anything you may be worried about OVERDUE...and their lawyer addage is BOGUS!!!!

These people have called numerous times sayibg I owe them money. As far as I know I DON'T. I am on disability & feel they are trying to take advantage of me.

How do I make them stop calling me ?

Not only did they call for the 3rd time this week, leaving no message, but it seems this number cannot be blocked.  RIDICULOUS.

Certain it's debt collection company (off work 3-years so have lots of them). This one doesn't adhere to 2-3 calls per week non-annoy regulations.  I set my phone private so the go straight to voicemail but I still have calling logs.  Today they called 110 times between 0910 & 2032.  Same Mon-Sat. Sometimes they call only minutes apart.  After initial weeks with messages they just crash dial me now (or so they think).

These people are obnoxiously rude. Pathetically rude. Ive never ran across such rude telemarketers in my life. They call from 7am to 10 at night asking for someone who doesnt live here. I have told them time and time again that they have the wrong number and they get all huffy, accuse me of lying and hang up on me! Then they call me all over again the next morning and say the same thing. I finally got fed up and began calling them to see if I can get a manager, but NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE!! Its always a voice mail, and this morning, I finally got fed up and i called them back and left a mega pissed f- bomb mssg telling them to stop f'n calling they have the wrong f'n number. and yes they ARE rude. i called them b***hes too

i owd telus phone money on a contract - my phone dropped out all the time and wound not work in my apartment - i complained and they said too bad you signed a contract.
they told me that if i paid 700$ they would let me out of the contract.
i said f*** you- take me to court.
that was five years ago - now this CBV Collections Services Ltd has bought my contract
and says that the balance is 1795$ plus intrest
but if i pay 600$ they will settle - i said suck my a** - they call me at 7 am, 10 pm and ten times a week.

THEY SAID I OWE ZELLERS BUT I THINK THEY MEAN HBC.  I HAD BALANCE PROTECTION INSURANCE ON THIS CARD.  I GOT SICK IN THE MEANTIME WITH MS AND I AM DISABILED.  PUT IN A CLAIM AND THEY REFUSED IT.  OVER 5 YEARS OF PAYING FOR INSURANCE AND THEN  THESE A**____OLES TELL ME I HAVE TO PAY.  WHAT GOOD IS THE INSURANCE.  IF I HAD ALL THE INSURANCE MONEY I WOULD NOT HAVE THIS BILL.  THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE, DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT.

Got a robocall from these clowns at 7:36am, that stated "Stay on the line for an important message about your credit". Turns out its a collection agency known as CVB Collections.  I called them back and got a hold of an actual person, whom I promptly told to stop calling me at inappropriate hours or I would report them.

And then I got the "please stop giving me attitude, sir" line and she hung up.

They've called twice today at this cell phone number and three times today on our other home's cell phone number. Not once do they leave a message.

Why do they think I am going to pick the phone up from an unknown number that does not even bother to leave a message? Instead, they will just become more annoying and call again?

They are a collection agency. They used to call several times per day without leaving a message. They will eventually start calling from another number if one continues to not answer.

I started getting calls from 416-482-7691 to my cellphone about a week ago.  It's always the same thing: "The following is an important message for Micheal Avoy" and then the line goes dead.  I never even get a chance to try to talk to an agent to tell them to stop calling.  It wouldn't be so bad perhaps if it weren't for the fact that my cellphone is a pay-as-you-go one and answering this damn call eats up a minute each time.
