Same here.  A legitimate call from TD Insurance, Meloche Monnex.

Meloche Monnex Insurance does use this number for messages to clients, such as myself; received one today. Message included an 800 number to call with an update to my policy with them.

Absolutely legit -- a necessary call about my auto insurance with TD Meloche Monex, and as usual their reps are extremely courteous, clear and helpful.  I am always glad to be contacted by them, because it is NEVER frivolous.

TD is Terrible Dirty insurance.

Totally legit, they offer great rates for people who are involved with professional groups or canadian alumni associations! not a bad number, just the companies number, not a fraud or scam! generally when you graduate a college or university your name is on an alumni system and if they're on the preferred list for TD then they'll call you to offer you a sweet discount! thats all, no need to freak out ppl!!

Because of this website I haven't picked up the calls received from this #, but I've starting logging their attempts to reach me.  They have called 10 times in the past week, an average of 2x a day! If it was an important call, they would have left a voice-mail, but nothing!

Same for me - TD Insurance (Meloche Monnex) calling about a claim that I had filed.  Legitimate call.  It seems like this might be the standard display number for anyone calling from this company.

Agreed - we received a call from this number and it was TD Insurance Meloche Monnex; following up with us on a policy inquiry.  The number that appeared on pur phone was 416-484-2099; HOWEVER, the number they left on our voicemail was 416-484-1112.  So I supposed calls from "2009" could be legit...or not.  Play it safe, don't answer and don't waste your minutes.  If it is important they will leave a voicemail.

TD Meloche Monex - a legit call about my insurance!!

Got a call from them today. Its TD Insurance Meloche Monnex. They said provide group home and auto insurance for alumni and members of professional groups and they wanted to offer me a free quote. Im a U of T alumni & my wifes a McMaster alumni and we got pretty good rates. Not the worst of the telemarketers i guess.

They called me again today and it is TD Canadatrust insurance.  I freaked out on them and told them that they have been calling my number everyday, 2 times a day for over a month.   She said she only called twice... yeah whatever.

I told them to put me on their do not call list.

This is a problem - am expecting urgent ld calls, not this -- don't have caller ID and think telemarketers shoudl be required by law to leave identifying messages, and not more than a limited number of calls.

Got a call from 416-484-2099 several times, only beeps at the other end.

Hi, I've been getting calls from here. I'm filing a complaint about this number to the police. If anyone else who wants them to stop calling, feel free to send me your name (first and last) and email or contact information and I will add your name to the list. I hope it helps.

Same here, legitimate call. I had just talked to them from another line about a policy and they had further info to talk to me about.

I also received a call from 416-484- 2099 but I missed the call. I am not sure as to why they would be calling me because I don't do business with TD Insurance.
Thanks to this site I will be motitoring my call from the above number.

This is Meloche Monnex (TD Insurance). They called me legitimately regarding an insurance claim from this number.

They called my home and cell phone several times today, but each time I could not get to the phone.

I should mention that I asked for a quote on car insurance from TD Meloche Monex about 2 weeks ago.  They are just following up with me.  I gave them the right to contact me.  

So if you are receiving calls from this number, most likely you either gave verbal approval or you signed something at the TD Bank to give them the right to call you to follow up on something.

I just had a call from this number (416-484-2099) on my cellular phone. There was a lady on the other end, who was confused to say the least.  She asked for someone named Carlos, then another name, Mr Alverez. She repeated my phone number to me and said she was with an insurance company looking for a client who had given my number.
Reading the above posts, I wonder if it is not TD directly, but one of the smaller companies owned by TD, which sells insurance?

I guess I am lucky that I only got one call.....So far.

I dare them to call my house again, infact they should come to my front door then see whats good. They call twice a day minimum. We need to find a company name or name associated with this number. Better yet give me an address!!!!!!

Got calls from TDMM twice a day, called the 1866 number above and they had no problem taking me off the call list.

416-484-2099 TD Melochoe Monnex.  I receive the call twice per day and the person doesn't respond to my HELLO and hangs up after about 20 seconds.  The latest time I responded by stating 416-484-2099 and I would be calling back.  Finally, a chick stated "you go ahead" and then hung up.  I called back and got the message you guys did about outgoing calls.  I complained to the CRTC and also left a nastygrahm with https://www.secure.melochemonnex.com/en/utilities/email?redirectSecure=true

The problem is, they require a call back number (either home or work) to get in touch with you about the complaint.  Stupid b*****ds.  What do they gain from this crap.  I do realize that automated calling systems inform a telemarker when a victim picks up the phone but the lag between me picking up the phone and them actually getting to it or hanging up is 20 or so seconds.  WTF, are these people just plain daft or is it just a case of f**k the consumer, just as long as TD gets what they want...

Just ran across this. Want to stop the calls? Print out this page with all the comments and go close any TD Canada Trust accounts you have and transfer to their biggest competitor. Let the branch manager know what you are doing. Stop the money and you stop the calls.
