call me several times but nobody speak when I pick up the phone,really suck

I now just pick up the phone and disconnect immediately if I'm near the phone. I keep a list of unwanted and unknown callers but think now that I will just get "call block". These calls are a nuisance. At least this forum is a good thing to identify the number.

I get a call at least 4 times a day, the only thing that shows up is 416.  Then a recorded message comes on stating that "it's not a sales call, but an urgent message for......"  It doesn't state who the urgent message is for it just goes quiet and then after about 5 seconds I get a busy tone blasting in my ear.  WTF???

someone asked me same thing...can I pls speak to mr. or mrs. "this"? you've won points that lets you travel free to places like this and that.asks personal info..age and status..he speaks so fast I could barely understand him. he represents geo holiday located at 60 west wilmount st. unit 1,Richmond hill,L4B 1M6...north of Hi way 7...contact # 4169642158 ext 239,224. never tried calling this number.

had called the last 3 days on que. I googled the number and came up with this site. The next time the GENTLEMAN phoned i played along. I then told him i was going out of town for work. he asked my profession and do i fly frequently.He asked do i use a third party. I said no the canadian government pays my way. He asked my profession. I said I'm an RCMP constable with the anti-fraud divis.........phone goes click  LMAO

Calls from Feb 14-Mar 5, sometimes 2 times per day.  
Person addresses you by first name like long lost friend.
Apparently I applied for a "free" vacation at some mall/gas station and I WON. I respond "highly unlikely", she gets upset. Next time same person/same speech but needs personal info before revealing details of "free" vacation. Ignore questions and ask her if she's giving me $10,000 for a vacation - she gets very upset, tells me I should give her $10,000 for a vacation (the scam is revealed!) - I hang up...next day 2 more calls - this scam is persistent!

They just called here. Asked if I made more than 40K - Told them no.

wow. I just got two phone calls right after each other. The first was from this number. I didn't answer.
Ten seconds later, another telemarking company called my house!
( 1-352-357-4151 ) - again, I didn't answer it.

Yep... vacation scam. Which he assured me was not a scam, otherwise it would tarnish their "excellent reputation" as Canada's #1 discount travel agency. Then started asking personal questions such as am I married.

called with "free" vacation scam. these are the ones where they charge you a bunch of phoney administrative fees and you get no vacation, but they do take you for a long ride.

This fools were calling me 200 times and I said f*** you all b***hes! Then they started calling 500 times. LOL

when i answered the phone, a guy's voice mentioned my name and asked if i'm the one...when i asked who's calling, he just hanged up the phone as if he's just validating or confirming something about my personal info

They called asking for Mr or Mrs _____, I fooled them, said that no one with that name lives here.  I didn't explain that it was my maiden name and that I no longer use it.....

How is it a scam, and how is it bogus? You attend for 90 minutes, they give you the trip. Makes perfect sense. And it says for THIS promotional offer your income must be $50 000. What if they have other offers? Sounds to me like your IQ is lower than your shoe size.

I too stumbled upon this by searching the phone number on Google.  Most annoying the number of times they call and always at the most inconvenient times.  Thank you everyone for your information. I know not to answer this call !!!

My wife answered a call from 416-544-8660. The individual indicated he was from a Rogers Resource Center but I did not take the call.

I decided to check the number on Canada411 and stumbled across the information above.

Feb 2 at 11 am and at 12 noon.  I told her to never call back as it is a scam - I'm sick of their calls!!!!!!!  I bet they will call back!!!  Read the following on their bogus "Free Trip" - I like the part where you need to earn more than $50 000 to qualify!!  As if!!  Scammers!!

Time 11:00 am on Sat, Feb 2. I wasted a *69 in this and the call also woke up my baby!!! They did not leave a message.

The number 416-544-8660 calls me Monday-Friday for weeks now. They always call at the same time of day. There is just dead air. I've waited for a message ti find out who they are. Thanks for the post. I feel sorry for the suckers who have to work for those morans.

This number calls repeatedly, sometimes 20 minutes between calls!
Thank God I have VOIP, and I discovered Call Block is included with my service!

Unknown phone # as shown above. Calls and leaves no messages.  Hope you'll be able to stop who ever it is from making so many calls.
I called back the number and only received something that sounds like a pick up and hang up sound or automatic disconnect.  Thank you for this information or I would not have known it was a scam.
