i too am barraged with calls from this company.

do US customers not have any recourse since this is a canadian company?
the at&t annoyance call bureau 800-769-4099 was no help, they told me to hook up a fax machine and then report them to the FCC.

I, too, am getting very tired of these calls.  The sound that is emitted does not sound like a fax sound, but rather a high pitched squeal.  I have received two calls within the last ten minutes (1/15/08; 1015).  I have attempted to stop this through the Canadian Embassy in DC, to no avail.

I don't know who this business is but it is violating a number of laws and business ethics. Please help me solve the puzzle so we can stop this harassment! Please provide any info. you may have to kcm@murphyjoneslaw.com.

Receive calls weekly from 416-621-2694.I pick up and it is a series of beeps different from a typical fax machine.Calls will come in at an average of 5 every few minutes.

This number calls my home and cell numbers constantly!!

same as everyone, unknown name, fax beeping, 6 mins apart multiple calls at 9am, after 2 put on my call block list.
Talked to the vp of coastalsteel  in Fla., this # not known to them so i don't think they're related.  Polite believable guy.

Help I have been getting calls from this number416-621-2694 for a few months now and if I have my fax machine on I get faxes for advertisement. people trying to sale me things. So I cut the fax machine off but the phone calls keep coming. I called the phone company about it and they said it was because I started a home business so other businesses are trying to sale me crap. The calls has been at 4:30am and keep calling back 5x. I have children who have to go to school. I really would like them to stop but do not know whom to contact to get this to STOP.

Add me to this list of those receiving calls from 416-261-2694. I let it ring out this morning, about 20 times it rang, disturbing customers and generally annoying.

It's the same for me. I belive this phone and fax marketing should be banned completely.

just called coastal steel.....they admit that they send faxes....but they were unaware of where the company that sends the faxes is located. lady answering the phone took my number and promised to remove it from her list.

Multiple calls, minutes apart, unknown name but phone number identified. When I pick up I get simple beeps, a few seconds apart, for about 58 seconds and then the phone disconnects and goes to dialtone. This is an automatic dialing system: the company puts a block of numbers into the dialer and it begins to dial - the first line to pick up gets routed to a human being in their call center, any lines that pick up when their human operators are busy get those annoying beeps. I don't know what stops the call cycle - or why it repeats weekly. Unless you hear the scratchy sound of a modem screech tyring to connect at the very beginning, it's not a FAX machine. If you're on the no-call list it is illegal - but hard to collect on - and usually they're working on behalf of American companies who know they can't originate calls from US soil.

I have received calls from this number at my office and when I answer it, I hear a fax beep.  This has happened several times a month since December 2007.  Yesterday I received two calls in the morning as I did today.  I work for the California Department of Mental Health.

this number keeps calling us at all times of the day. What can I do to stop this guys from bothering me.

they have been calling me for about 4 years now on and off. verizon has never been able to help me, but now that i have some suggestions from this discussion group, you want to believe i am going to be writing some letters and making some more calls. they called 9 times in 2 hours this morning, lucky for me i wasn't home, or is it unlucky to come home to 9 messages of a fax machine shrieking in my ear? the calls can come anytime of day, morning, afternoon and the middle of the night. if i have any success blocking the calls, i will post what finally worked to stop the calls.

stupid 416 number calling me when my baby is sleeping!! i don't know if this will work outside of ontario, but i found a way to stop it for me. i turn my phone on, get a dial tone and press *60...this will activate 'call screen' a service that is free from bell canada...follow the prompts....hope this helps somebody, it was making me CRAZY

I've been getting these fax calls for two years, 3 calls, a minute apart, and several groups over spread over hours.  They cycle on and off over the weeks.

Every day we get multiple calls from this number trying to fax something. We do not have a fax machine and are tired of the inconvenience. Can't something be done to stop this

Constantly receive attempts to fax me from 416-621-2694. This is not a business and we have no fax machine.  This is a company in Ontario, Canada. They do not have a customer service contact on their website. I plan to write them (their address is on their website) but won't be surprised if it comes back "unknown".

Same problem.  Called the "do not call" list in Connecticut and they said it is a Toronto, Canada number and they do not have control of foreign phones.  Wrote to CEO of AT&T.  No answer yet.
