call from this number!!  Guess wat i won a trip!! guess again .  I  let them talk ytheir speel for at least 5 minutes until they asked for credit card info...then i impolitely told them that i enjoyed wasting their time and hung up!!!

I was also receiving harrassing calls from this # and 905 366 7259.  I find it very interesting that all the people claiming that this is a legit company, can't spell worth a damn.  There are also similarities in spelling and gramatical errors between several different "winners". Nice Try Canadian Gifting Center....

P.s The Number (905)366-7259 is a broadband number provided through Allstream based in Cooksville.  The provider is protecting thier customer's privacy rights..... Do a little research people.....

and he converted my Cruise Tip into Cash and he gave me 900$ Rs & all i wanted to know iS THAT RAEL OR NT ..IT WaS BECAUSE I GOT MY Cach  too Because i asked to him that if i don't like any Vacation so he said that he can switch my prize with the cash really he is such a nice guy

I got a call about 5 minutes ago from them.  They said I entered a contest in a mall, which I'm pretty sure I didn't.
They told me that I have won either $25,000.00 CDN or a 27" flat screen TV or a 3 day, 2night stay at a resort but I had to go to a place by the airport to pick it up.  
I have no doubt that this is a timeshare resort scam.  I listened to what they had to say and found out they go by the company name "Canadian Promotions".  
When I told them I could only go to their office to "claim my prize" only during the week in the day, I was told that wasn't possible as they only operate on weekends and in the evenings and that both wife and husband had to attend.
I put them off and they asked me to call back.  
I have heard people say they did make off with a TV after a 2 hour presentation, but not thinking I will actually follow through with this.

They called to say we had won a free TV or $2500 or a stay at a resort.Wanted us to go to some place in Richmond Hill (east beaver creek).They insisted we both attend.
I said my wife was out of town for 3 months.
The same guy called back 5 to 8 times last night making obscene comments about my wife and propositioning me. (Same phone #  shows as 905 366-7259)
I looked up my notes from the first call and called them this afternoon, spoke to one "Brian Jordan" the 'manager" told him about the calls last night and told him I had provided York regional police with  both phone numbers and his name. he was appologetic and said he would look after it.
I really did provide the info to the police, not that I think there is much they can do. last night's caller actually left a rude message on the voice answering system! sounded like he was on drugs.
anyone know where these folks are ???

I have the same experience and plan with John C. I will report them to the proper authorities and have them investigated. I don't believe they are legit and they are not consistent with their information, like locations, names etc.
Very rude and annoying. But thank you for sharing your experiences, we plan to fight them, once we gather all this info. We have time and resources to get back at them will definitely make their lives miserable. They have no right to force people and disturb our lives. Regards.

Got a call just now, mentioning that I filled out a ballot last summer.
I said i don't remember, and his reply back to me was "yeah I understand, it has been a while ago"

I was told that I had won a prize and I have to go to their office to pick it up.

to verify I am really the person who filled out the ballot he read out the qestiones an the answer that I apparantly had filled out. They were all wrong, exp age and income.......at that point I realized I didn' fill out this ballot.

So I hung up and searched the right away. I found this site. As I am typing this they keep calling back.

My question is: what do we do? What happened to the do not call list?

Is anyone out there that can give us suggestions in how to protect our personl information?

Got a call saying I filled out a ballot on Dec. 17 at a place like Wal-Mart, Canadian Tire or so. I was supposed to have won one of 5 big prizes. I did not remember and he said, yes it was a long time ago. The accent was very heavy and he was hard to understand.
I was supposed to come to the Gifting Center at a certain time. Sessions would be at either 6 or 8PM with some refreshments. It would take about 30 Minutes and I was suppposed to bring my husband but no kids or friends.He gave me the address as 1510 Drew Road, Unit 6. THat is in the Dixie and Derry area. As call back number he gave 416-628-9766.
He then put on his Senior Manager Johnson to give me my Password.
I know, I was not shopping on December 17. and could not have filled out the ballot.

Just called the number 416-628-9766. Somebody by the name of Sean answered as the Ontario Grant Center.

Got call 1/2 hour ago. First guy instructed me to go to 1510 Derry Road to pick up a plasma TV OR Alaskan Cruise OR $1500 Or Vegas trip. All because I filled out a coupon in November 2007, which he understood I may have forgotten. He transferred me to Michael Hamilton to confirm my age range, marital status, and income range.I was to be at "Premium International" at 6:15 today WITH my husband. I strongly assume it is a scam But how do they get my info??? Plus, what is their purpose if one does show up????

Michael Hamilton called again to confirm my attendance tonite - I said "No" and hung up.

He has called 2 more times - I let voice mail get it but he left no message.

The 4th call I did pick up and he wondered why I would hang-up on him. I informed him that he was now harassing me and I would go to authorities - I hung up again.

Got a call from Andre.  He said he was calling from Mississauga and that we had filled out a ballot in WalMart last December.  I know I never fill these things. Come on folks, there's no free lunch (unless you are in a Sikh temple) in this country.  
I asked him if he knew the name of the Mayor of Mississauga, and he said, "Frank".  I told him he was bsing me and that he should tear up my ballot and shouldn't waste his time.  
I wouldn't get fooled at this. I wish there was a simpler process to formally lodge complaint agains these people with CRTC or any other governmental agencies.

This is a pure scam, as the guy who claims to be James Johnson gave me two different numbers. How can a senior manager of a big company call a client or a customer directly and offer him/her a gift? Also, the address that they gave us didn't exist either. Tell these frauds that their company is a scam, and they will be in big trouble very soon!!

October 6, 2009 11:40am I received a call from the number 905-258-9210 also saying that a coupon from a retailer in shopping mall drew my name for one of those 5 prizes. The caller named Jennifer, the reception was bad , she asked me to call back at 416-628-9766.
I'm sure that I have never participated any drew. This must be a scheme I think.

You can put all the info together but chances of finding them are slim.
