I keep getting calls from (416) 630-5150. I called back and asked to be put their DO NOT CALL list but I still get calls at random times of day. I just answered the call and they hungup. So not impressed!!

This number keeps calling us , and when we pick it up it beeps and then nothing happens, It is so annoying !!  How do we stop it?

I GET CALLS FROM THESE PEOPLE EVERY DAY. mY WIFE TOLD THEM THAT SHE WOULD DISCUSS IT WITH ME AND THEY COULD CALL ANOTHER TIME.  THE RESPONSE WAS SURPRISE YOUR HUSBAND WITH THE PAPER.  HUH??????? WHAT A JOKE !

I get calls from these people every day.  i spoke with one of the callers and the poor guy clearly said < he is doing his job.  Apperently plans to quit cuz his employers vince and joseph treat all their emplyees like crap.
Time to report this to the Toronto Star/Sun i think.

I Called and left a message at 416-630-1944  which is the SCC call centre (Vine Lani owns it)

Just left a message saying:

"This is 705-549-****, and I have requested multiple times that you remove my phone # from your call list and you have failed to do so.  I am being harassed by you Call Centre and have contacted a lawyer.  Should you fail to remove me IMMEDIATELY from your call list, I will be filing a law suit against your company and you personally and it has been proposed that I am within my rights to file a class action law suit with others being harassed by your company.  I have recorded this telephone call as per my lawyers advice and will press chages should this not be taken seriously".

I suggest you ALL do the same as my lawyer has instructed me.that this is liable on their part should this behaviour continue.

these people are the  most annoying in the world !!!

This jerk has called every night for the last four nights.  Can they be charged?  Or is there any way I can get his home phone number give him a call a day until he stops.

Do not call anymore,your mailbox was full when I tried to find out who had called

I got calls from 416-630-2172. I called the number back and it said to talk to them directly call 416-630-6658. I talked to one of the person, I think he was a supervisor and I asked him to take me off their list. He said he'll make sure he takes my phone number off whatever list i am in.
Hopefully that'll stop these annoying phone calls.

E-mail the circulation departments of the involved papers and complain. Tell them how annoying it is and you will never subscribe. If do subscribe, quit and tell them why.

An agent tried to sell me the Sun. I said I didn't want it. They pressed and I said no. They said why. I said not your business, go away. They started to reply. I swore at them and hung up.

These people are so annoying, that if I was subscribing to a paper they mentioned I would cancel it immediately.

This worked! I just called the number and asked to be removed from their list!  He was good about it. Didn't ask any questions. These guys have been calling me for at least 6 weeks now and no matter how fast I pick up the phone, I never get to talk to anyone to tell them to STOP calling me!! So yeah, I'm pretty relieved! I hope this works :) Thanks for the tip!

Notify the newspaper (e.g., Star or Sun) directly that the telemarketing company they hired to increase circulation may actually be decreasing it from bad publicity such as this site, word of mouth and so forth.

This company calls all day long about 4 times a day everytime I answer the phone they dont say anything and hang up the phone!!!!

August the 8th, at 9am i was trying to catch up on much needed sleep,
the guy was trying to sell me the Toronto Star. zzzz.
I said "no thanks, go away and stop bugging me."
they had tried 2 previous times to get me but I wasn't arouund to pick up and they didn't leave voice mail.
I received a weird call fro NCC INC around 3pm today, but all he said was "have a nice day".
I get very mean and nasty to telemarketers. I'm supposed to be on the DO NOT CALL LIST but it doesn't help much.

I called the suggested # here - the CSR was very polite and removed me from the list - I am a former Toronto Star delivery subscriber, that is how they had my number.  BE NICE.  These people are only trying to make a living.

left messages on every number i could find online associated with the number above  to be removed - still getting calls - im going up there tomorrow!

This number has called my home 5 times in the last 3 days. I have call display so don't answer. They get the machine & leave no message. 4-5 days ago I received a call from scammers trying to access my computer (saying they work for Microsoft - 1-253-363-9006). I threatened to have them charged if they don't stop, then this starts. I'm wondering if they're connected.

Call Centre Worker:

Many people work crappy jobs just to put food on the table.  Get over it.

In this situation, I pay a telephone company for the use of their service.  Vince and company do not pay a penny toward my phone bill.  Why should I want them to make use of my service?  Should I let them drive my car that I license and insure?  Let them live in my apartment that I pay rent for?  It's "my" telephone number/line and should be available only to me and those of my choice.
