They called around 7:30 PM and said absolutely nothing while I said Hello repeatedly

Just got a call from this number.  This time it was to update Health Card information.  So don't please don't associate these calls with any reputable organization (like York U.).  They appear to be phishing for information and will (apparently) use any angle to get you to divulge it.

Mistake was actually attending York University and providing an update of our profile.

It is York U.  I went there for undergrad and every so often they call asking for money. 736 is the exchange for the York U campus so any number starting with 736 is likely from York. I don't have the money to donate so I usually ignore their calls.

The caller is a phisher who pretends that he is calling from York University.
He even gives you number to call him back 416-736-2100 x 20212
However, he really calls from unlisted number 416-736-5309 which has nothing to do with York University.
Be careful they are phishing for your personal information!

haha, I was checking thenumber while the phone ringing. Thanks, GP for mentioning that it's YU asking for donation. I already donated before, thank you very much (don't have the heart to say no ;p)

This number has been calling me on weeknights. Posts online indicate it is York University asking for donations which I have no interest in. Please do not call me anymore.

They call me a few times each year. Even after I told them not to call me anymore! Annoying!

Caller indicated that she was calling from York University.
