FRAUD ALERT - Pretending to be Bell - bundle package, tried to sell me on a plan to good to be true and then ask for personal info like driver's license number and sin #, first last name etc - when i said i did not want to provide so much info before agreeing to a contract, they tried to hard sell and provide more pressure, and then became angry and started yelling obscenities

either contract fraud or identity theft

The guy started using F word for no reason when I picked up the phone. I checked the caller ID is  416-800-0280.

This number just called one the seniors at the condo I work at- She said when she answered the phone, there was a male called on the other end saying "he could see what she was doing... oh look, you moved your hand"... she hung up and called us to inform us, she *69'd the number - apparently this number is used by many shady people/business...

I got a phone call at around 8.48pm from this number, mostly I do not pick up any calls that I dont recognize the number of, but I just picked this one up.  I kept on saying hello hello and no one spoke.  I did not hang up the phone cuz I could hear bunch of men talking to each other and they were speaking in Hindi ( I understand this language) they were talking about their clothing and what not and then all of sudden they hung up on me. JUST TOTALLY STUPID I SWEAR. Its just irritating getting these phone callst thats all

Received a few calls from this number...416-800-0280, one time for DUCT Cleaning....and another for BELL Canada services.  It's a Fraudulent phone call, please do not give them any info!!  Call Bell Canada and report!

The people/person using this number is quite abusive to some individuals .

They also have no regard for the do not call list that is in effect in Canada.

You should do a search online for this number and read some of the comments

that have been left regarding this number .  I'm sure after you do this you will take the appropriate steps.

Got a call from this number but they said they were from Bell.  I listened to them but when they asked me for personal identification I hung up.

I've got  a call from this number too. It's an air duct clearning company. They call from India somehow.

I got a call from this number.  When I answered they didn't say anything - the call was still on the line, there was just silence.

Charming fella. Selling duct cleaning. Hard to understand, so I let him go on for about 20 sec. I then said I'm not interested not interested but thanks for your call. He replied So why are you listening, a***ole?  Nice.....

Phone rings and my grandfather and I both pick up.

My grandfather who cant speak english answers first in chinese so I stay quiet.
The guy asks for my dad, my grandfather knows how to say "no english".

The guy asks for my dad again and my grandfather replies with the same "no english".

THE NERVE OF THE GUY.... he freaking mocks my grandfather and then repeatedly goes "CHING CHONG, no english KONG CHONG, DING LONG etc..." and then hung up.

REALLY!?!? REALLY!?!??!

Sometimes people really really disgust and irritate me... I don't stand for stuff like this especially when it involves my grandparents!

Seems like from the above stories, people have called the local police about this and fraud department yet nothing has been done.... Makes me sick.

On 24 Feb 2014, at 7:12 pm, Tel displayed on caller ID. 1st  caller, Suresh, sounding  Asian/Indian, with  broken english pronunciation, started  by  asking  me my  identification i.e my name and  home ph. and if I was  with Bell.
I refused and asked his name. After his several attempts to get my personal info and my refusal, he stated he was from Bell promo  dept  and described the package (not so confident about the subject matter and seemed to be prompted by someone else) and in between insisted upon  my personal info time and again.
I refused and abruptly was transferred to another male person. Name given sounded like some  Smarthy Sneider, who used extremely abusive language followed by  long  silence, land line had no dial tone for 3 to 4 minutes.
Seconds later my same land line rings. I picked it up, unsuspectedly, only to realise and obviously taken by surprise, that it was the same Bell promo second person who started by using abusive language, threatening to disconnect my  Bell services, and kill me, accusing me of wasting his time and that he already knew my name and home phone, which he disclosed very correctly and ending with " Go back where you came from  ...go back  to India you!!!
Contacted local Police... cannot do much. Anti fraud inefficient....

LOL I love what you said I'm going to use it the next time I inadvertently pick up a telemarketing call

Duct cleaners.  I immediately launched into "Hi how are you?   Haven't heard from you in a long time!  (like yesterday?)   How are you wife and kids?  Listen it's been really great talking to you again but I really have to go."  The caller was so confused he hung up on me!   How rude!

I am getting sick and tired of these Air Duct Cleaning companies calling all the time.  Scary part is ... they have your address!  sadly - I live in  an apartment building .,... which they don't have the unit number ... but there are so many different numbers that are being used all the time ... you don't know who it is until you get someone!  wish they would stop and leave us ALL alone!!!

Telemarketer calls me about duct cleaning, I ask to take me off list and replies with No I love your voice. I say ill mention to call police he says call the army, and then I ask him for his name and tells me to go bed, ladies beware and especially for our children, we need to be raise our voices and get these out of country creeps out of our lives.

I called Bell if they just call and represent Bell you can go through their fraud dept. but if they also mention duct work you have to call the Canadian fraud dept. the # 1-888-495-8501 please call we do t need these type of people trying to talk to are children like that and trying to rip people off!!

Caller first said to be Bell. When I asked who was calling serveral times, it came finally came out that it was air duct cleaning services. When I asked again who was calling he said it was about my heating and cooling system, do you get it? I said no and told him to f@#$ o^& and hung up.

I think that it shows a local number, but it might be a telemarketing company in India or any other South American country; maybe or maybe not. If anybody knows how to make a complain about this number or who or any information that these creepy people can be caught. Please post it.

I got a call from this number too. He started talking to my daughter, who is only seven year old. He was saying that if she wants to be friends with him. This person was asking the phone number and address of our house. And also said it to my daughter he'll going to call her at the same time next day.  My daughter is very smart, she's been coached by my wife, so immediately she handed over the phone to me.  And the guy said that his name is Harry and he's calling from Ottawa and wants to talk to the owner of the house. I said it's me, he started asking questions about internet providers of the house. I said it politely that we don't need it and hang up.  It was after hanging up, my daughter told us the details of her conversation. So my request is to all those people who got five or six or any younger girls, please coach them how to get safe from creeps like these.

I got a call and they started to talk about phone internet and cable. Wanted to know how much my bill was. I told him no. Then started to talk about Fiber optics or something. I made reference to satalite no wanting it. Then ask me to grab a pen. So I politely said I was making diner and studying for two test to call back another time. He said or so your NOT the decision maker. So I said I go to school and I'm cooking super makes me NOT the decision maker? That's when things got bad. First off I'm a male and I'm white. He starts calling me the "N" Word. Wanted to know if I knew what a Sand "N"r or a "N" was. Then Telling me that if I want to stay in the kitchen. So I didn't get mad. In fact I was totally cool and. I asked what he was trying to sell me? He said Duct cleaning. I said really?? Why did ou start by asking about my cable bill then?  Then he said no you called me. So what do you want?? There's is sooo much more it was funny. He finally new he was unarmed in this intellectual fight and hung up.

How do you know it's not true? Did you call bell and find out? We got the same call.

Dialing for dollars - This one is for "Bell" services but it doesn't ring true.

Clean air duct company said he was based in toronto....hangs up when you ask them questions
