I was housesitting and they called about duct cleaning and I asked them not to call again. They called again today and he asked for the homeowner i said she isnt here and he said who are you and I said that is none of your business and hung up. He called back 2 minutes later and said why dont you go back where you came from and btw this was a p*** or indian so who is in the wrong country?

If they do answer, its a duct cleaning company.  Even after telling them at least 13 times over the last 2 months that I have no ductwork, they continue to call.  Duh!

They called here a minutes ago. From what I read from previous posters, it's a duct cleaning servicd.
When they called, they received an earful of fax noise.  Hoping everyone reports tthis number to the DNCL.

Who is trying to kill you? These calls are an indicator that you are ther victim of organized harrassment. The goal of this harrassment is your death and it is perfectly legal in Canada.

Called just now about Air Duct Cleaning.  I asked her how the weather was in Karachi, Pakistan.  She said she was in Mississauga.  I kept pressing about Pakistan and she asked if I had seen the documentary.  I told her all of Canada had.  Someone started yelling behind her and she eventually hung up.

very simple ......  I never NEVER answer phone numbers  I do not recognise ....  I have a cheap answering machine ... if it's important they will leave a message ....  they never do..... I can check the message later and decide if they deserve a call back.

That is not who called you - these organizations use computer programs to spoof phone numbers so we think they are originating here in North American when the reality is that the calls originate in India. You should remove your post because you have maligned someone who had nothing to do with the call.

They do not offer a real service - they are scam artists. They will insist on a credit card number to book the service call for whatever they claim to be selling because the reality is that they are after credit card numbers and do not offer any real services. They are based in India and Pakistan (primarily in India) and, because of this, there is nothing that can be done about them as the 'Do Not Call' list has no effect on calls originating in other countries. The only way anything would ever be done would be for the Canadian government to insist during our next trade negotiations with India that they clamp down on these organizations but that will never happen as Canadian companies want our government to negotiate access to the Indian market for them. So, sadly, nothing can or will be done about these calls.

Received a call from this number, checked here and see they are back to bothering people with their phone calls.   I saw this number back in the fall.

these calls about duct cleaning are from a telemarketer based in Karachi Pakistan. I know this because Market Place had a program on it Friday night and funny enough they managed to track them down before the CRTC or police. The CRTC said in an interview with Market Place, that their hands are tied when they have no legit phone number to call and it becomes a matter for the police. Why do we even have a Do Not Call List if the CRTC can't do anything about these scammers?

I just made a complaint through the "do not call registry" tonight - the guy who called me was beyond rude.

3 times in the last day and half

This number has called my house 3 times in the last day and half - no voice, nothing must be a way to report them

It's a duct cleaning company. I just said"not interested"  ad hung up directly

I also got a call - and I was home but didn't recognize the # so I waited to see if they would leave a message.
When they don't leave a message I usually google the # and like this one it is a duct cleaning system or some other telemarketer.  I then put a call block on the # so I am not bothered again.  I have also found that they use different #'s sometimes and if that is the case I just repeat my system until I find out who it is etc.

Answered , just silence. Robo tele marketing dialer that doesn't work and irritates all of us.

I received a call again offering duct cleaning services. After a short research on internet I found the name of the company  who is listed as Iristel Inc. So I filled a complain against them via the National do not call list number at the CRTC... ....

Yes, we got call as well from 416-800-1691.  I did a reverse search, find out the name is J. Nickson.

I'm tired of these idiots calling all day everyday!!! How can we stop them???? One day I'm going to agree to the service so I can see the creep that calls and let him have it!!! Maybe call the police for trespassing ...ughh so annoyed!!

Got a call from these b****oles...the man with a very thick accent asked to speak to me, I pretended I was my brother & that didn't really faze him...he went on to mumble something about carpeting or air vent cleaning or something or other, assuming I had a house.  I told him my brother (me) lived in an apartment.  He then shouted something in another language very angrily & hung up.  I don't know where these losers get off  but I'm going to ignore them!

What can be done about these annoying callers? Are they checking to see if I'm home so they can figure out when to rob me? A computer generated calling system as a precursor for a live person to call me when I am likely to be at home?
