This # called me today 5 times even thought i got my new number yesturday asking me if i am with bell for internet or the whole package(internet,phone and tv). Really getting on my nerves even called on my old number when i had it. A pain in the neck when your in class trying to learn

Flag #1 We received a call for duct cleaning services at 9:30pm on a week night.

Flag #2 I asked for their number they gave me 416-800-2094. I asked if they were a local company, they said yes. (416 is a Toronto area code and I live in Ottawa some 5 hours away from Toronto).

21 years in business and they claimed to be with the better business bureau.

Flag #3 I asked for their website address, NTRO.ca (doesn't exist).

Flag # 4 When talking to the sales rep (who seemed to be of east indian decent) he said his name was Jack Dawson (same character as Titanic).

$140 to clean my ducts for a 2000 square foot house is an amazing deal as most companies charge upwards of $350.

Flag # 5 They were supposed to send 4 technicians to clean the ducts. Possibly two to distract the parents while the other two searched for stuff to steal in the house.

I called to cancel the appointment and only received message that subscriber was not available and to leave a message. I will try to repost if they give me a confirmation call back.

Got the same internet, dish and phone scam from Indians posing as Bell at 416-800-0986. Most call in the evening as it is morning in India. It's not Bell. I checked with Bell and they are not aware of this. The number is based in India.

These people are just you average moronic stupid foreign marketer that is incapable of getting other employment. Never speak highly of them !! The solution to your problem is to call Kevin Crull, the V.P. of Wire Line Services at Bell Canada. His # is 416-581-2923.

Harass him until he fixes your problem of putting these foreign morons out of business. And for goodness sakes DO NOT put you name on the National Do NOT Call List. This service is run by Bell Canada and they sell the numbers on the list to ANY business that wants it and in some cases those buying the lists are reselling them to marketers in foreign countries.. This in reality is the national " Please Call Me List".

I get these calls all the time as I am home during the day. Their scam is to try and get access to your home and do whatever. The cops don't care.

My response to these people is that they have just called the "Best Male Escort Service in Chicago". The claim to be calling Toronto numbers but I insist I am in Chicago and begin to tell them about the services of "BIG AL " and my other service providers. I get as graphic as I can and because the idiots are from a different culture they have no idea how to respond. Never EVER worry about offending these animals. They have NO RIGHT to call you so you have EVRY RIGHT to harasses them.

If the call is asking you to buy Bell Services call Kevin Crull, V.P. of wire line services at 416-581-2923 and complain to hem about his company marketing in this way. They will tell you they cannot do anything but that is B.S. THEY control all the numbers an know who owns each one. Just keep calling him until he responds in a positive way to your complaint.

Just got a call from this number. I had to say hello three times before they answered. There was loud noises and music in the background and it sounded like they were in a car.
They were trying to sell me services from Bell, internet, tv and cell phones. We actually have serveice s through Bell already and I told him this and he kept going from one service to another fishing fo any info he could get from me.
He had an East Indian accent and was very rude and unprofessional.
I finally said I was fine wuith my services and hung up.

The creepy thing is that I got a call 10 minutes prior to this one from a private number and there was nobody on the other end!!  Same people??

I got a call from 416-800-2094 today on Good Friday, a Stat holiday, so this is not legitimate.  Caller didn't say anything, my phone made a mechanical dialing noise, and they hung up.

I got my 10th, 11th something like that call from this number this week. My last one was at supper time on a Saturday. The dude begins by stating we have internet, phone and cable through the company we are with. He was correct. He wanted to know if we were happy with the service?

My question is how and the hell does he know what we have with the company we are with?

I have hardly (maybe one or two a year) ever recieved these bogus calls for as long as I have had a phone. Since moving and subscribing to my current company I recieve them all of the time...every day.

Howcome these scammers never had my information before hand but now they do? Is it possible the company I am with is selling numbers?

This number 416-800-2094 has called me like every other day. Every time that they call, as soon as they say Bell I pretty much freak out at them screaming into the phone to take me off their call list....... then tonight, 9pm my 2 young kids just got to sleep and my phone rings... it is some a** saying he is from Bell again!
So I told him "Do you not know what time it is? Are you going to come here and put my kids back to bed? and I've told you people many times to stop calling me..... his reply: Would you like me to call at another time?" He got told off in a manor which I prefer not to repeat! Weather or not he stayed on the phone once i started freaking out, I have no idea.
I was thinking about going to the CTRC however I have heard more then once.... on the news and from other friends who have had it happen to them ....  that their are telemarketers who actually use the "national do not call list" as the list they call.

Had this conversation with someone who called from this phone number last night:

Phone rings: "Hi, is this Mrs. ***"
Me: "no, she's not in at the moment, may I take a message?"
Dude: "okay, is this her daughter?"
Me: "yes it is"
Dude: "how old are you?"
Me: "umm, excuse me? why do you need to know?"
Dude:"well I can only speak to people who are over 18 years of age"
Me: "well, I would prefer not to disclose that information. You can leave a message and she'll call you back"
Dude: "I can't leave a message unless you're over 18. Tell me how old you are"
Me: "umm. No"
Dude:"why not. I can't do anything with your birthday, I just need to know"
Me: "I don't want to tell you."
Dude: "well, you've been on the phone with me for 2 minutes now, why don't you just tell me? This is the first time I've had so much trouble with this..."
Me: "That's too bad, but I'm sorry, I don't want to tell you."
and then he goes ON and ON... and he's like "well, I'm 20 years old. It was my birthday this week"
Me: "happy birthday"
Dude: "now will you tell me?"
Me: "NO! I suggest you either leave a message telling me what this is regarding, or call back at another time"
so he gives me his name and number (Which was different than the caller ID #, btw... it was "Steve" at the number 416-801-0323)

and then goes "can i ask what your name is?"
(and i'm thinking DUDE, i'm not giving you my age, and you think i'm going to give you my name?!)
so i just said "NO!"
and he kept me on the phone for a good 5 minutes

And then finally he goes...
Dude: "Oh my god, you stupid lady..."

And he kept talking but I hung up on him.

Not sure who they are, but when they called they knew my real name, only they asked if Mr OR Mrs was here... clearly I'm a miss. Told them they had the wrong number and they hung up. They've called many times before and I wasn't able to get to the phone in time, no msg left. Who knows who they are, but they certainly are annoying.

i just got a call from this number . he was offering " duck cleaning " at 5O% off . or deck cleaning . whatever .

Played along and told them to wait while i go find my credit card, muted them and they waited there for 10 minutes while I "looked" for my card. They called back and I told them that nobody from this house had received a call from this number. They then tried to resell me a package again, and I said let me go get my parents. DUH, I'm 40. Put the phone down and never went back. Haven't heard from them since.

Asked if parents were home....i said no and then he hung up

I called 1-866-779-IRIS (4747) and spoke to a woman who said that this number is theirs and this case has been handed over to the police ? (wtf?) she advised not to pick up the phone.

It sounds like B.S to me.

I will keep hanging up on you idiots who are calling me. If this is really Bell Canada using these techniques, feel assured that I will never have any  business with Bell once I have confirmed the allegation.

They have been calling three times a day. It's driving me crazy. I called iristel and they said there is nothing they can do about it and to contact the CRTC. So hopefuly they will stop calling. I'd love to know where they are calling from so I can go there. I;m sick of talking to them and then they hang up on me because I said its harassment. I think next time I'm going to waste their time.

You have to be kidding me - you called a worker at a company and said you know where he lives ... if he reads this or calls the Police you might be in a pickle.  Sorry bud - you might be upset but clearly you are a moron.  The dude works at the company, he is not the one calling you.  If you get cut off on the highway by a Ford and do not know who the driver is - do you call Ford and threaten their CEO?

The proper way to complain is to call your service provider and the CRTC.  As someone else above said - this number has been leased to reseller.  I too called Iristel and have since called my service provider and the CRTC.  Iristel is to be contacted by the CRTC and their reseller is too be told to have my number removed or Iristel will cease the service to that reseller.  Since then no calls.

I had a problem like this once before and googled the number calling me - someone else had a problem too - they had a voip service and did 'selective call forwarding' for all calls from that number to the office of the president of Rogers.

You could also enable call block or some other feature, call you service provider and see what options they have.  If they are not helping then threaten to transfer your number to another provider that can help.

I tried calling that CRTC. Instead of giving me an option to talk to an operator. They wanted me to leave my number. I am getting tired of this number calling and hanging up. All hours. Who are they really. If its really this Iristel Inc. Company. What do they want?

I gave Iristel a call (416) 800-0002 at their Markham, ON office. Iristel owns the phone number, but it is leased to a "reseller" who does telemarketing. The name of the "reseller" could not be disclosed, but the lady was kind enough to tell me that the best action is to file a complaint with the CRTC at 877-249-2782.

A formal complaint  to the CRTCseems to be the only was to have this company stop calling your number!

Called on Thanksgiving 2009. Inquired about the service I tried to set up with Bell TV. Wanted to discuss my credit card information.

it goes alot deeper than you think folks. Bell service men/women show up twice when you call. One is probably legit and the other a fake.
I would say we have a repairman tech and a call centre rep in on the scam. Careful folks, this one could bite you.

These people love to call and harass my eldlery parents whom live with Me so They Won't get what they Want!!!! Everytime I ask them to leave a message they hang up. Their Very Bright!!!!
