Is the number he used. Said he was in Nipigon Ontario. I had him email his phone # and then I called him. Nothing matched with the internet, said he worked for Rogers, and got very very upset when I backed out.

Also said he 'had a friend' in Chatsworth Ontario, and that the 'friend' could meet me in Owen Sound, so perhaps he is in that area?

So not scammed, as the spicy - sense kicked in.

That's insane. That same thing happened to me today. He said he want 600 but said he'd take a deposit of 100. When I asked to have a photo copy of his id he said he couldn't do that because of identity theft. Then when I backed out he called me yelling saying that the RCMP were going to contact me for identity theft and gave me a bogus police report number. I called he Ft. St. John police and they said they hadn't had a complaint filed against me.

He tried to sell me Luke Bryan tickets today.  Said he lived in Fort St John, and gave me an address. When I googled the address, it was for a moneygram outlet 11 hours away in Atlin, BC.  He then gave me a Fort St John address, which judging by Google Street view, was a random office building.  When I was hesitant, he called me.  When I asked why he had a Vancouver area code, he said he works for Rogers.  Once we were off the phone, I googled his phone number (thank God) and saw this page. I texted  him saying I knew it was a scam. He called me freaking out, accusing me of being a scalper, and saying he was going to involve the RCMP (which I told him I was happy to cooperate with).  He then told me he would be in Vancouver tomorrow and that he works for Live Nation at Rogers Arena and that if I meet him there, he would give me free tickets and throw in Blake Shelton tickets.  Weird that this guy goes through so much effort calling people and continuing to lie once you've figured out it's a scam.  I think he is quite unstable. As a service to honest people trying to buy tickets, I would recommend letting police know when he tries to rip you off.

He scammed me for One Direction tickets. Told me his family had a destination wedding to go to. Said he worked in Ft St John, BC and used the name RYAN ROBERTSON. Only does moneygram. BE WARNED!

He is still at this number. He texted me not 5 min ago. Glad I googled him.

I was trying to buy tickets for my teen daughter to Cody Simpson, and replied to one of Shaun Michael Nixon's Craigslist ads.  Luckily I googled his name when he replied to my e-mail. When I emailed him back with links to The Toronto Star, and the Hamilton Spec articles, he sent me back an email saying he was Cody Simpson's tour manager and wanted me to call him.  I googled the cell number he sent me (289)244-9061, it came up with a bunch of other warnings from people who were ripped off by him. Not the brightest bulb in the pack, lol.  I am doing as others have stated, and reporting him to the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre.  I hope he goes back to jail!

I also received the exact same message trying to buy some Leaf tickets for the 8th of February. I was very close to losing $600, but cancelled the money transfer at the last moment because I felt like the offer was too good to be true and I had a weird feeling too. When I told him I was no longer interested and that I'd found other tickets he sent me this lovely e-mail:

"I work for Maple Leaf Sports and entertainment at acc

id like to see your tickets in person seems you have been going online and posting i am a scam, I am working with metro police as well to find you so i suggest you call me 289-244-9061"

I am so glad that I was able to look him up and find this stuff out before my money was taken. Thanks to everyone who is making this scammer known!! I am also going to report him to anti-fraud to see if they'll do anything about it.
