I also received a check for $980.00, I turned over all the info to the FBI

Actually got a letter with a $2500 check. Wanted me to cash the check, wire $2140 to someone they claim I'm related to (but I'm not), pay the $60 wiring fee, and then keep $300 for myself as payment. However, if this is like most scams, the check will bounce and I'll be out of luck.
