Calls my land line incessently. What can be done to stop these people?

Doesn't stop calling our main home line allday long anywhere from 10-15 times daily

Used the instructions to stop  this annoying fax machine calling my business line.  Hopefully it will work !

I work at Telus... I have given above the instructions on how to stop this. Follow them!!

This FAX? keeps coming to my cell phone.  If I don't answer it then it goes to voice mail and takes up precious space on my Telus 3 voice message plan.  What do I do?  I thought that there was a limit to how many times they could call?  I have had 4 so far in 25 minutes.

Once is asks for an extention enter 00000 and then it will ask for the 10 digit number.. once you enter it .. it will confirm it has been romoved.

Calls all hours - when you call back, it offers to let you delete your number from their faxing list but then requires an extension, which of course I don't have....

This is coming in at work and incapacitating our phone line, can it be reported????

This is from a fax service.   I received a good deal of calls for them and have already started to explore legal channels in trying to see if there is a way to sue this and the otehr dozen or so services that call me day and night.   My phone has never been a fax line....ever.

been receiving calls from this number hundreds of times. doesn,t sound like a fax machine, just a beep-beep-beep, like a computer is trying to access my computer. this is the first time a phone number actually appeared on our call display-would like them to stop doing this immediately. you'd think if this was a fax machine, they'd figure out they had a LOT of wrong numbers when none of their faxes went through. I personally thing its trying to fish our computer systems. fortunately, we shut our down when its not in use. you may want to do the same just for added protection.

I got 6-8 calls from this number this morning between the hours of 4:30 and 5:15 am! I am very mad!

I tried entering 00000 when prompted then by 604 cell phone number after the first call but I got 3 more calls after that.  How long should it take to remove someone's number?

Removing your number from the list is really a 'confirmation' that your number exists.  There is no motivation for the sender to stop.  This isn't new spam, but it is persistent.  Called my telephone company a year ago about the annoyance.  I still get calls.  Hopefully, this fall, when the new "do not call" database is in place for the nation, junk like this will stop.

Do not call or fax again!

I tried During business hours all i got was a beep sound .
I tried this during non business hours (like 11pm)and then i hear an IVR . I followed all the steps given above 00000 and then the phone number. and I got the confirmation telling that my number will be removed.. within minutes and I got a call, and i keep on getting calls as i am typing this. ... I guess it probably takes a lil time to be removed..

Today I've received 6 calls from that number.  It's a fax. I've finally connected my modem in order to receive the fax.  The name of the company is Canadian Trade Index.  There is a toll free phone number : 1-877-463-6284.  I called and I leave a message telling them not to continue.  I hope it will work.  I goggled my phone number and I realize that somebody else had my number as it fax number in the past ! I owned that number for 5 years ! (Excuse my english, it's not my mother tongue)

By the way, this company has a toll free fax number : 1-866-605-7333

To the Telus employee:  IT DOESN'T WORK.  Trust me.  I have spoken with a (rude) person about having this number removed.  The number stopped calling me for a month or so, and started again.  This time I attempted the 00000 bit and it acknowledged that it would remove me.  That was two weeks ago.  Just got woken up by them AGAIN!

Sorry to say, Telus refuses to help me in this matter other than to offer some other blocking service which limits you to 12 numbers to block (I've pretty much had to use them all, already, for similar fax schemes).

Next step is to research a legal avenue.

in the last 2 days i have gotten over 15 calls from 416-847-1150, i have been getting calls from this number for over 2 years, they sound like they are comming from a fax, i have tryed to find out where the call are comming from, but have not been able to get that infromation. i just want the calls to STOP!!

keep calling after I contacted them and notifie dthem they are sending junk fax to my cell phone.

Telus is one of the reasons I'm getting spam faxes on my phone line.

Problems got started when just within a month into my service, I had to use my computer to fax something to my office.Now I don't have a home business, or a fax machine. Just a computer program called: Norton Winfax.

A few days after, I start getting all these faxes. I find the telus number to report these (310-1000) and I started complaining.

Told Krista I'm getting faxes now all of a sudden.  She asked if I've faxed anything from my home number.  I say yes, I did.  Asked if I have a fax machine, I told her no, just a computer program.  (and it was a local call) She told me to do the above
(*57, then report number to 310-1000)  they would get the problem resolved.

I believe Telus monitored for fax signals and put those numbers on a database.  I also believe that list was sold.  Why else would a telus rep ask if I faxed anything?  what does it matter? Unless I'm right about this.

Not only that, I had complained almost daily, and Telus was supposed to put in complaint, that never got done for months.  I have all the calls complaining to telus documented, and who I spoke to.  They had every excuse why this and why they couldn't.

No matter how much I complained, this was never resolved.  

Not only that, but even after I cancelled with Telus (Which is what most of you should do) it took them over a year to stop billing me for service I wasn't using.

Nothing was done about it. It seemed the more I complained, the more faxes I got.

Telus sucks, and they are a bunch of sell-outs.  I think they made alot of money doing this.

Telus called today (July 24, 2007) to get me back.  I complained about faxes,
changes to the Voice mail, and slowly losing bandwidth.  Girl offered many
things (started with: $50 off our current bill, then reduction in costs for
phone, then reduction in internet, then both, then $300 gift card, then a
computer.).  The items and offers kept piling up. she then offered me a
garentee that there wouldn't be anymore faxes.

I told her if she could do that, they should
have done that in the first place - when I was complaining daily.  telus didn't.

Now telus says they are willing to do it - too freaking late.

I flat out told her she could offer me 5 computers, and the whole package for
free, and I wouldn't come back.  I basically told her someone high up at telus
got greedy and now they are paying for it.  I told her Telus sold my number to
be spammed by faxes and my number is still being passed on from spammer fax, to
the next.  She Never corrected me on this.

I told her unless telus smartened up, I won't come back.  I told her they can't
buy me that easy.

I last told her she needs to relay this complaint to someone with athority.  I put in a complaint to the CRTC.

Alot of good that did.   I won't ever go back to telus, and I believe that's the only way to send these spamming jerks a clear message.

Fax line Calling our business phone line several times. Tried to fax message back to caller, but it would not go through. We have reported it to the DoNotCall.gov. Our real comfort is that God knows who it is.

I receive calls from this fax nmber at my office at montréal

I called, asked them to remove my number and they said they couldn't.  Told them I would charge them with harassment under the new 'do not call' law and they said 'go ahead'.  I think everyone should start charging these companies.  I'm tired of them calling me at home AND at work!!!.

Pure harrassment.  Impossible to stop.

My parents nad I have been receiving calls/fax attempts from this number at all hours.  They are in their 80's and are terribly inconvenienced by this - do not even have a fax, and when they finaly get to the phone just get a series of beep beeps, like someone is trying to fax to them.

All attempts to call/fax them have failed. The phone company has failed to be of any help to stop it.

Looking for a device that blocks Fax signals.  I spoke to the spy store here, and they said there are several fax signals now.  Not one device will kill faxes, but there is a device that will block all calls unless you put in a pass number.  I figure this would only serve a person who only has friends/relatives calling that line.  No outside calls without pass number will get thru.

Also, had one spam fax call ring thru my phone at 3am on a Sunday.  My phone has a 'Night Mode' where it won't ring, but I know that police and emergency can turn it on with their 'special ringer'.  

Well, that's exactly what this spam fax did.  it made my phone ring - Even though I have a night mode.  So I turned the ringer completely off upstairs.  That's the only thing that works.

NIce huh?  They get the technology before we can.
