Feed the Children is one of those many "charities" that spend more collecting money than they do on the cause.

I hadn't been getting calls from this number for some time, but one came today. I called it and they DO pretend to be Canadian Save the Children.  Also, the message asked me to leave a message and they'd get back to me withing 3 business days.  Sound like any charitable group you know? NO!

If you go into the Save the Children website, you'll see they have a 1-800 number which answers instantly.  

I'm distressed at this con because I donate to them, and at Christmas often give one of their "Best Gifts Ever".

To the person who thought giving a goat was a joke, it isn't.  They provide useful animals and items to people who need them. (In a third world country, a goat provides milk, and maybe more goats!)

I know charities are exempt from "Do Not Call", but fraudulent numbers should be dealt with.  By whom? Not sure.

In the meantime, don't donate to the number we're all complaining about. I don't donate by phone to anybody!

Just FYI, unfortunately, charities are exempt from the Do not call list - We decided to buy a phone with a call block feature that only lets it ring once and then transmits a busy signal back - it doesn't cut down on the number of unwanted calls we get but at least I know what calls to answer.

Its not BS.  It really is Feed the Children.  From Oxfam.  Its legit.  They have a GST registration number.

Canadian Feed the Children IS a reputable group.  That's not who's calling you!

I was sorry to hear that they are pretending to represent "Canadian Save the Children".  It's a thoroughly reputable group; also the above is NOT their phone number.  Check their website!
I hate to think that some trusting folks do give money to theses scam artists.

I never donate by phone, to ANYONE, but these endless calls are annoying.

We do not support Feed the Children as a not for profit or so called charitable organization (87% operating expenses, etc) - We do not pick up for telemarketing calls or unknown numbers - do not call us - we have registered to not receive calls and we are not a former customer of yours - Do not continue to call. They called on Jan. 14, asked for donation to Feed the Children for Haiti earthquake relief. I said I'd already donated to a reputable organization.

I got their call today. Spoke to the woman who called. She was looking for another person. When I told her there's no such person, she asked whether she called my phone number, I said yes. This is when she tells me that she's calling on behalf of some organization "Feed the Children". She asks whether I've watched the news recently about what's happening in Haiti and that they have an office in Port-au-Prince. Wanted to know how much I would like to donate. I don't like cold calls. I don't donate to unknown organizations. I'm also on a DO NOT CALL list. I don't think she was too happy with me when I said no.

Receiving numerous calls from this number. The number is Canadian Feed The Children. I found their web site and E-mailed them requesting that they stop calling my number.

Get calls from this number 5 to 10 times per day, at all hours, even weekends. No one speaks when I answer it, no one answers when I call it, so I can't tell them to stop calling.

They have called every afternoon for two weeks.  Do not have the courtesy to even speak to you.  We are trying to run a shop and it is most upsetting as we run for the phone or excuse ourself to answer a dead line.  Why isn't someone doing something about this.  Isn't this harrassment?

Called on Wednesday at 5:15 mountain time.  Dead air followed by a few clicks.  They can't even be bothered to answer their own automatic dialing!Warning to everyone: do not give your visa and/or pin number or the 3 digit number at the back of the visa.  Telus should put a trace on this number!

they are very annoying, keep calling, but leave no message.  If it's a legitimate phone call, I don't see why they cannot leave a message.

I have a missed call from this number every day this week. They don't leave a message but also don't seem to get the message.

This number calls me numerous times and at all times of the day and they never leave a message.  They are very annoying.  I have never tried to call them back.  Thanks to this site, I can see other people share my frustration.

the only illegal part is calling after 930, i work at a center, and thats all i've heard. the rest is that, it's all about numbers, it's what we're told everyday. and i'm sure there are those of you out there who are cursing me now because i am one of them. but i say this, there are so many people out there with cups out and sitting at home on unemployment benefits. saying there is no work, blah blah. i was one of those people, but i was MOTIVATED. now i work at a job i basically hate strongly and don't agree with ethically. but i mean i'm not living off your sweat and blood?
yes the calls are annoying i get them all the time too. but the bottom line is this.

This number has called me quite a few times in the last week. They even woke me up.... 830 am on a SUNDAY??? I thought that was illegal.

14168492495  We get calls from this number all hours of the day and evening. Some times answer there is no one there. They call in the evenings. They do not identify them selves. They ask for someone else in the house and refuse to talk to me.  Which is a good thing "I guess".
I have asked from them not to call however they still do...

I a sick of being bugged by all these phone calls.. Leave us alone... I don't bother them at their work or home.
