Keeps calling

I didn't get a call.  I got a letter with a check written on Mills Consumer Solution in Overland Park, Ks. The letter is from Access Market Research in NYC.  The check is $3480.   The telephone # on the letter is a 403-918-3615 which is in Alberta, Canada.  The fax number is 713-690-7398, which is a New York number.

Has anyone just tried to deposit it and see what happens? What government agency should be notified.  This is the second or third time I have gotten something like this recently.

We received a check for $3,985.00 and called the phone number several times and couldn't leave a message. It was full. Then called yesterday and spoke to a man (Didn't give his name). Said to deposit check and we would receive the remaining Prize money by FedEX... Said to call the next day, I did call and no longer can reach that Cell phone number.  Hmmmmm, interesting scam... Yes, this is a scam. They want you to send them money on the pretext that they need it for taxes & you will get it back.

I also received a check from Mills Consumer Solutions Inc for 3,985.00 it is a scam big time,we need to put these people behind bars.The check was thru the Bank of Texas,NA and the letterhead was from DPI ENERGY,LLC OPERATING ACCOUNT 2997 LBJ FREEWAY,SUITE 225 DALLAS,TX 75234

I am a manager of a bank that was just presented with one of these checks - it is a scam...and other than NOT cashing it so you don't fall victim to the scam, there's not much you can do about it.

I was told this check is good the man told me he was a lawyer that check is good

My daughter, who is a minor, also received a check and a letter. What we did is we opened a separate account that only had that check deposited and this account cannot be accessed except for in person. We are sure it is a scam. Our bank flagged it immediately. So, what we did is we called the number again just as it said to do, and got the info that Louis Jackson gave us to send $2,000 by Western Union so they could release the remainder of the funds and send it by FedEx. I took the info as if I was going to do so, and then promptly called the US Postal Service. I gave them all of the information that I had from the letter and the phone calls (speaking each time to Louis Jackson). We are now waiting to hear back from the postal service. Another person contacted the FBI, so hopefully these guys...or gals will be caught and get a well deserved vacation in the federal penal system.

I have recieved information from this company mills consumer solutions and the the person that I was talking to name is Louis Jackson and he told me to send him a money gram and that fedex with write me a check for 1500.00 after they delivered my check...he pleaded with me that this was not a scam....Nora James....Mary McDonald....Nikka George...etc....

I have recieved a check,please let me know what the scam is. Should be SOME THING WE CAN DO TO THESE GUYS!

this is a scam they want you to send a check for the taxes to them. the check they sent will never clear,

I have received today a check and a letter from Mills Consumer Solutions Inc. with the address, 3060 Eggers Avenue, Cleveland,OH 44105.  But, this phone number is different then above.  The Number on my letter is 1-416-856-0197.  And then the company name on the check is ArcelorMittal Cleveland Inc..  And the name of the bank is JPMorgan Chase Bank,N.A,  Columbus,OH  AND Signed by a Joan Green.  And the rest is the same as what the rest of you said.
