This number is not itself connected to a telemarketer.  It is a universal trunk number that people in the Oshawa area can make long distance calls to Toronto, and elsewhere in the Golden Horseshoe.   However, while some are just regular folk taking advantage of the low long distance costs, it is possible that some using this service may be using it for nefarious deeds

I got a call from 416-883-0367 - The man told me that he was a friend of someone who lives here. I told him that I could only get this person to call him back - so he gave me this # 647-225-3311.... Ask for Mike.......Maybe it will help stop this 883 number

also got a call from them asking for my son, saying they were a modelling agency.  i told them he's at work, they said they'd call his cell. he never did get a call from them.

You are absolutely right.  We have a friend who uses this number as a trunk line for his long distance calls.  He pays a fee and can use that line for all his long distance.   Your explanation makes perfect sense

This number has been calling me for a couple days now, when I don't recognise a number I either do not ansewr or I pick up and don't say anyrhing to see if I recognise the voice....when I didn't say anyrhing the woman said " hello? Hello? Why the hell do you answer your phone if your not going to say anything""".....if I had any interest in ansewring her I would have given her an explination but there's more important things to waste my time with lol....who is this number??

Got numerous calls from this number at my place of work and its a gentleman that says "do you have a second?" ...."you have such a nice voice"  then hangs up..

someone called me from this number to tell me they hurt thier back and were on drugs. That was it.

this is a number for companies to call out to long distance numbers for a monthly fee appose to paying the standard long distance charges.

Getting called all day long from the same #. Same thing happens to me, call them back and they ask of a code and number. Anyone with success with stopping these calls?

I got a call from this number and the guy answered saying i needed to enter a password or a 2 way number..weird as heck!

Guys, you should know that number is a call extender.  Basically, if you were in say Newmarket, and you wanted to call a Toronto/GTA number without paying long distance charges, you would call that number first and then be prompted to enter the Toronto number you wish to reach.

I don't believe the call extender works on cell phones.  Figure out who you know from the GTA boonies and tell them to stop calling you.

this is a code to allow people to make long distance calls.  this number is given by a company, which I'm trying to locate as I've misplaced the name.  You can use this number prior to calling the individual that has a long distance number.  You are charged a yearly fee of 80 bucks.  This is why so many people have different answers as to who owns this number because it's actually a code

Hey i got a call from this number, i missed it and noticed a voice mail was left while listening to the voicemail they called again... the message sounded like some beats cut out by static and a choppy signal.  not sure what the hells goin on
