Called, unknown number

This creepy caller uses the 416 number in quotation marks as an ID.  Called twice on May 13, the first time in the afternoon using 1-200-176-0034, and  later in the evening using 1-300-145-4847.  I must have picked up the first time, because the second phone call was the one I wrote about in the "Voter Outrage" post.

What is this?  Got a call at 8:32 pm with Caller ID shown in quotes as 4169150692.  The phone number appeared as 1-300-145-4847.  Caller said he was calling from "Voter Outrage" (yes, that's what he said) and asked to speak to a household member by name, so was using some kind of list.  He stated that the call was a survey for the Conservative Party and wanted to know what political party the household member would support in an upcoming election.  I refused to continue the call.   I also reported this incident to this website under the displayed number 1-300-145-4847

Got a call with the caller id  4169150692 as well. under the number 1-200-111-2076. Didn't answer.

number said 100-179-7058 but name was 4169150692. picked up but i didn't say nothing but i know they faked ther id.

I've been getting the same; haven't picked up yet. Numbers called from are 100 177 2273; 100 174 3693: 100 161 5512; 100 116 0934 ....

Got a call with this as the 'caller id' and the numbers they have used are

1-300-171-9455
1-300-152-7453
1-300-109-8935

And yes the caller ID portion shows up 4169150692. No dashes or spaces to separate the numbers. With someone saying its some sort of non-profit/charity I'm inclined to think it might be a scam done via spoofing numbers that might appear local.

Called from this number with a caller ID of 1-100-160-7051. Since that number cannot exist I didnt bother to pick it up.

Sooner or later the phone companies are gonna need to give customers ANI data instead of 'Caller ID' data. Although both can be faked ANI data is much harder to spoof.
