Got two calls on Saturday, July 28th. When I called it back, it is TD Canada Trust, who I do bank with.  It gives you an opportunity to leave a message.  I wonder what they are trying to sell me now?

i was/am being harrassed by 1 800 831-9690, who, according to their voicemail message is a td canada trust number. i was told they are calling to "inform me about a special promotion" i might be interested in. they often hang up as i answer (due to technical difficulties, i was told) and call after 9pm -- sometimes 4 or 5 times a day. i was unable to reach anyone (human) at this number to request that they not call me.

however i had success (i hope) calling td easyline (1-866-222-3456), who knew exactly what i was referring to, and i was told i will be removed from their calling list.

it apparently takes them A MONTH "OR LONGER" to "process" this request, but its better than nothing i guess?

i have to say, i feel much less comfortable banking with td now. they have lost my trust. considering switching banks.

Wow...after 2 weeks and about 7 calls from these 915-3302 someone was finally on the other end when I answered. I had already called TD and they told me the number was not associated with them and it was a scam.  However, the people on the line seemed legit.  They are selling Critical Accident Insurance for TD and they work for a company called SP Data.

I also have been receiving calls from this number.  I never pick them up as i'm always at work.  When I try to call back it's some dude saying he's from TD Canada Trust and that the mailbox is too full to leave a message.

hey,

i got 2 calls from this # yesterday but couldn't answer any bcos i was listening to music. luckily came across this website. after reading some of the stuff here i went to the bank & got myself off the list. 1 of the people here says getting 1self off that list takes a month 2 be processed by the bank. i could prob confirm that by calling td. i'll also confirm if that # is actually a td #. i'm also thinking of calling the 911 2 report this # as i've never ever called 911. guess i can't do that if it's actually td. so if some1 wants 2 call 911 please do so. maybe this issue is solved faster if a lotta people call 911. i could confirm that as well.

TD Bank sent out an alert to easyweb customers stating that there was a fraud scheme going on with people calling and asking for personal banking information for confirmation and asking to confirm bank details etc.  As someone noted above it is "vishing".  It could be under the pretext of an insurance program but then they ask you to set up automatic withdrawls from your TD account and that's how they get into bank accounts and rip people off.

Thank you for advice, I called 1-866-222-3456 Easy Line  and asked to remove my name from their list because I have a right to do so. By the way, 416-915-3302 is a TD bank number. Good luck.

I still get these calls.....  and so I took this person's advice... "I work for TD bank and if you guys dont wanna be called, call easyline
1-866-222-3456 and tell them you do not want to be solicted. They will then take you off their calling lists and not call you at home, work etc...

If you wanna know if the call was from TD, call Easyline, and they'll let you know if its legit or not...."  And you will here a recording and then hit a "0" and you will here music while you are on hold for the next available representative... and it took about 1 minute and then spoke to a nice td banker.. and you need your access card # and then she can remove it on the spot....  Very simple!  all took about 3 minutes...   If there are any more problems, I will let you know here....  B.T.W.   my wife says to remember, that it might take up to 30 days to process...

I've been getting the same thing for 2 weeks now and I finally called td about it.  The lady on the line said she couldn't confirm or not if the number was in fact td's or not.  So to "...." who said he works there and that they'd tell you... Sorry but BS the lady said they had 1000's of numbers!!! So for everyone else that gets these, for sure call and get taken off the list of #'s to call.

I've been getting calls on my cell phone from this number and ignoring it because I don't answer random Toronto calls. But I searched it, got this site, and tried calling back and got the voice mail. 99% of automated voice messages are generic female and not sketch, gangster-sounding frat boy. It seems incredibly sketch and I have no idea why they have everyone's number.

this is certainly a phisher (visher).

Not a valid TDCanadaTrust number.  Number is roaming as far as tracing is going making it difficult to assign.  Fake audix info as well.

I've been banking with TD for 15 years now, and this is the first time they've called me out of the blue for anything. I looked up this phone number after they've been calling my house for a week, and leaving no messages. I call back and it's just a machine that goes to voicemail, except you can't leave a message because it's full. I though it was fishy...
so glad these comments are here. I am going to contact my main branch though because like I said, they've never called me out of the blue before!

I just got a call from this number as well.  If anyone would actually like to reach someone at this number extentions are 4 digits and begin with the number 6.  I have had these calls from TD before.  They are very persistent.

At 11:11 AM. (again?) I, also, constantly get the calls from 416-915-3302 and when I do a Display Dial Back, I too, get these automated answering machine asking for your name, phone number and a convenience time for them to call you back at.   I kept the machine going asking for extentions #, and even kept going... until it finally says, sorry, mailbox is full.  ANNOYING!  Also, I have an account at TD Canada Trust Bank and they told me that it is a different thing NOT affiliated with them.   mmmmmmm   Fishy, eh?  They need to Fish somewhere else, like the fraud division and see why it is illegal to Harrass people with False pretense....

Called TD Canada Trust, they suggest that the number is not associated with them, but really, they don't seem to know for sure.  Apparently we'll be removed from any marketing campaigns they're running now if it is associated with this number, but I had to ask for a supervisor to get that.  Suggested calling RCMP fraud if the calls continue...

Okay, so this seriously has to stop. They have called me from this number EVERY DAY for the last 2 weeks - more than once a day, starting at 9am without fail (this includes 2 Saturdays now). I pick it up every time, and they have an automated response asking you to hold for a person - at which point it promptly hangs up on you. Calling back produces a voice-mail that is always, without fail, full.

I am on hold with TD right now to try to resolve the issue but I'm at the point that I want to switch banks if in fact this harassment was issued by TD.

Odds are actually pretty high that this isn't a scam, but just a bank trying to sell you more "stuff".

If you're a TD customer, odds are that you GAVE THEM PERMISSION to sell you "other products and services" when you signed your account agreement. You are legally entitled to WITHDRAW this permission, which you can easily do by calling their main customer service number.

And yes, they outsource these calls to third party call centres. Every major bank does. The banks also ensure that the call centres follow privacy policies and honour do-not-call requests, but unless you remove your number AT THE SOURCE (i.e. at the bank), your number gets sent to every new telemarketing company that comes along, and you get more calls.

Has anyone even made the attempt to call their local branch and inquire instead of assuming TD Canada Trust is just "harassing" them? The message does not use professional voice talent and the voice message would at least indicate the division of TD Canada Trust.

This is a phone scam people! It's called Vishing.  Similiar to the term Phishing used for online fraud. These are fraudsters, not TD Canada Trust.
DAMN YOU TD!

I was guessing who called me several times everyday and doesn't leave any message until I got see these reports.  Althought I picked it up, it didn't say any words to me.  What does TD want? When I called back, the auto machine asked me for the extention number.  How do I suppose to know?
