Ron 2014-03-28 00:47:10 Unknown
i am getting call everyday like you from 4169157928. who are they?
Mr. Frustrated 2014-03-26 15:15:23 Unknown
I keep getting calls from this number, when I called back I got no answer. I figured it was a random number generating machine calling for scammers.
ShanEda Lumb 2014-03-17 20:24:19 Unknown
I have received repeated calls from #416-915-7928. I want them to stop.

Even if they have your personal info...don't tell them anything. If you deal with Scotiabank, go directly to your bank person if you need anything. I have gotten several fraud emails from CIBC and Scotiabank and I've always forwarded to their fraud department. Phone calls, I just tell them I'm not interested if I pick up the call accidentally and I don't wait for their sales pitch, I just hang up!
CC 2014-03-15 15:59:12 Unknown
Yeah...I just got a call and without thinking, picked up my phone. I generally don't answer to numbers I don't recognize. In any case, there was nobody there after my THIRD "hello" so I just hung up.

Received a couple calls from this number in the past month. Each time I answer there is nothing and then it starts ringing as if I am placing a call. The first time this happened I let it ring a couple times and a girl answered. Every other time I just ignore the calls.

they called me today around 4:10pm, they are now added to my iphone's call block list :)
V 2014-03-04 02:56:38 Unknown
Definitely pushy life insurance salespeople. They had my personal information like my date of birth, full name, and address. She only made me confirm my information to proceed with the sale but I tried telling her over and over again I wasn't interested and that I better not see any charges go through on my account. She just kept trying to sell me on a plan

I didn't know who this number was, they called me 3 days straight and didn't leave a message or anything, so I texted them a nasty message and they stopped calling me

When they do a sale on the phone they have to confirm your name, address, phone number and year of birth. If you want to be removed from the call list please call us to confirm your details.
Please call our Contact Centre at 1-800- 387-9844. Our representatives are available Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m Eastern Time.

Received more than one call from this number usually early evening on my cell phone. I always reject the number but still keep getting calls.

Optima communications telemarketing company on behalf of scotialife financial. They've called 5 days in a row at dinner time and are super annoying. If you want to remove your number you can call scotialife financial at 1-800-387-9844.

So an Indian guy calls me earlier and asks for me by name and says he's from Microsoft saying my computer downloaded malicious files. He stuttered a bunch with his story when I was asking why MS would call me. I asked for a number to call them back he gave me 416-915-3536 and then I said you sound like a scam bro and he laughed and said "you're right, you figured it out" and hung up.
Four hours later 416-915-7928 calls and asks for me I tell them wrong number.
I looked into this 7928 number and now realize they called me the other day.
The guy who called me the second time, that I said had wrong number, it was the same guy, I remember his voice now. He was Indian sounding, but not a thick accent like the guy who called me "from Microsoft" earlier.
Anyways The 7928 guy said I was a good Scotia customer and offered me life insurance.
I was polite and said I'm broke so don't even bother.
Kept trying to sell me on insurance.
Anyways I guess their second attempt was today with the Microsoft Tech (fake).
Where are they getting our names and numbers from? I heard from many places including resume/job sites.
The phone I answered isn't even in my name.

Thanks for posting.
They should NOT have done that. If you had a premium payable with them, and had it in writing, any increase could have been argued. But it depends on who owns the policy, you or scotia visa.
I signed up with accidental death insurance, 25000 for under 3/month, but of course I own the policy, not Scotiabank.

I just got $25,000 accidental death coverage for $2/month.
Less than what I'm currently paying. So, despite it being a telemarketer, the call was less than 10 min and worked to my benefit.

?+1 (416) 915-7928. This number is annoying calling my phone. How do I get them to stop?
Wayne 2012-05-04 03:58:15 Telemarketer
To my way of thinking these guys are nothing but scammers.
I actually signed up for Visa balance insurance. The premiums
were reasonable, I thought. 2 months later they were doubled.
Stay away from them like the plague they are.

Stop Calling my cell phone
ShillBuster 2012-03-21 23:15:26 Unknown
If you ask them to remove your name, as suggested by the shill for this telemarketing fraud, your number will be confirmed and repeatedly called in the future for other scams and sold to other fraud operators.
