i called this number back, was put on hold, and then a women basically came yelling into the phone that they will call me back and when asked she said it was for a collection agency for TD bank, she did not identify herself, was not going to tell me who she was representing, and was very rude.  i do not owe the TD bank and do not deal with them........ the number comes up as unknown when you 411 it........

Wow I keep getting calls from this number too. DAILY for the last 3 months or so. I don't get it. One ACTUALLY called me at work too and left a msg. REALLY?!
I called back said dont EVER call this number again!
He tried telling me I owed over $3000 to TD canada. And I need to pay it or Im going to court REALLY rude. VJ or DJ or something. I have NEVER had a credit card with TD let alone a credit card. And I have no credit cards even close to this amount outstanding. They call me up to 4 times in one day. I asked him for a number to fix this issue and he just kept saying I was lying and needed to pay it.
He did however have my address from like 6 years back on file?

Today Dec.2, 2010 at 3:17 I got a call from 18668952976 I got a calle. No message left. It looks like collection agency.

Calling here all hours of the day ranging from 8am - 9:30pm. I was even once awakened at 11:46pm from a call at this number. I have told them time and time again, I have no TD account, I never have. I don't have a TD visa, I did but when I switched to another bank, I paid it off and closed it out cause I got a mastercard. I haven't had any dealing with them in over 3 years and now they call saying I owe money? Constantly trying to get me to tell them my info (address, date of birth, social ins. # etc...) of which I am not falling for. The callers are rude and can't seem to accept the fact that I will not say, "yes I owe you money" ... seriously, who would if they don't?? Something needs to be done to stop these harrassment calls. I even put my # on the DNC list but I think that was the worst thing ever cause the phone constantly rings from telemarketers ever since....

1-866...  bcause you owe money, account is closed, pending charges etc.

Virtually daily calls except Sundays for past 10 weeks prompting you to press "1" or to call 1-866-895-2976 for important message. A nice(?) lady at that number immediately asks for personal information but will not identify herself other than stating "it's for TD", i.e. supposedly the Toronto-Dominion Bank.

Don't buy it !!

... and again, two days later, at 14:00 - twice. A recorded voice warning me that this is a very important call - not a marketing ploy - and to call back at 1-866-895-2976.

It it was that important a call, they'd leave a message, wouldn't they? ;-)
